Have an awesome clearance find, a hot Walgreens haul, or an amazing deal that you’re excited about? Send your story to us via our Happy Friday page, and if we post your submission to the site, we’ll send you a $10 Amazon eGift card! SO easy!

Check out these tips to help your chances of having your submission picked.

Head here, click “Submit Your Deal” & fill out the form to share your Happy Friday story!

2. Consolidate prepaid cards onto one Amazon gift card.

assortment of cash back and promotional gift cards

If you have an assortment of prepaid cards with leftover money on them, use them to reload your Amazon Gift Card and combine the smaller amounts into one lump sum to spend all in one place.

To do this, head over to Amazon’s gift card reload page and type in whatever remaining balance you have left on your card in the “$ Other” field. Add the card to your cart and head to checkout, then add that prepaid card as your form of payment. Once the transaction is complete, you can delete that card from your account.

“I took all my prepaid rebate cards that have random small amounts like $2.18 or $4.32 on them and reloaded my Amazon Gift Card balance. It’s so much easier than trying to keep track of the balance and have them charge that exact amount only at the store. I ended up with around $19 more to spend for Prime Day!” – Stacy

3. Redeem loose change at Coinstar for Amazon gift cards.

Empty out those pockets, crack open your piggy bank, flip the couch cushions, and bring all your loose change to the nearest Coinstar machine. Upon redemption, choose the Amazon Gift Card payout so you receive the full value of your change and have it ready to spend during the Prime Early Access Sale!

Note that there is a minimum redemption amount of $5, but there’s no fee when you choose the Amazon Gift Card option!

4. Score an instant gift card upon approval of an Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card.

If you’re comfortable taking on a new credit card, Amazon is offering Prime Members a $100 gift card when they’re approved for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card.

If approved, you’ll receive the gift card instantly, and you’ll be able to earn money back with every purchase. If you’re a frequent Amazon shopper, those rewards really do add up quickly over time!

Plus, with your new card, you’ll receive 5% back at Amazon, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and Chase Travel with an eligible Prime membership, 2% back at participating restaurants, gas stations, and local transit (including rideshare), and 1% back on everything else. Best of all, there’s no annual credit card fee! 🤩

Watch for this offer to potentially double in the near future! Before Prime Day in July, you may remember seeing Prime Members get a $200 gift card with their Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card approval. We’ve seen the $200 offer several times before, and we’re hopeful that it might come around again before October 10. We’ll be sure to keep you posted! 🤞

5. Become a member of the Amazon Shopper Panel to score free Amazon cash.

Hip2Save readers and team members absolutely LOVE the Amazon Shopper Panel app (iOS | Android), which is a super easy way to earn rewards and keep them coming month after month. *Note that this is available by invitation only, however, you may be added to a waiting list or find that you’ve already been invited when trying to sign up!

There are 3 ways to use this app to earn credits toward your Amazon gift card balance:

  • Opt into ad verification. This will automatically track the ads you see on Amazon and earn you a couple of dollars each month.
  • Take the available surveys. Your credits will automatically be added to your Amazon Shopper Panel account.
  • Download your receipts for purchases made outside of Amazon. When you upload 10 receipts in one month, you’ll earn $10!

All rewards are credited to your Amazon account within the first 48 hours of each month, so you’ll want to get started NOW in order to receive and use them in time for the Prime Early Access Sale in October.

6. Back up your photos with Amazon Photo for a $15 Amazon credit.

Amazon Photos

Through October 7th, select Prime Members can receive a FREE $15 Amazon credit for backing up their photos to the Amazon Photo app! Note that this offer is not available to Prime trial members.

Check out our Amazon Photo post for all the details on how to claim this offer. Note that it may take up to four days to receive your credit, so don’t wait to score this easy money in plenty of time to spend it on October 10th!

7. Watch for opportunities to earn FREE credits w/ an Amazon eGift Card purchase.

Before, Amazon’s last Prime Day in July, Prime Members could get a $5 Amazon Credit with the purchase of a $50 Amazon eGift Card! This opportunity was available to Members throughout the week leading up to Prime Day.

While we don’t know whether Amazon will offer a similar credit leading up to the October Prime Day event, we’re certainly hopeful! Sign up for Hip2Save’s text alerts to be among the first to know if this sweet opportunity presents itself again this fall.

8. Look for the chance to score a FREE $5 credit when you spend $10 at Amazon Go.

If you have an Amazon Go store near you, then you may get an additional opportunity to earn a $5 credit before Fall Prime Day 2023!

During Amazon’s July Prime Day sale, Prime Members could earn a $5 Amazon Credit for spending $10 at Amazon Go. We don’t know whether this credit will be available again in the fall, but we hope it will be offered again!

9. Watch for a potential $12 bonus credit for using Amazon Reload.

In July, Prime Members could get a $12 gift card bonus credit for reloading an Amazon e-Gift card with $100+ in a single transaction using Amazon Reload.

This offer was available for first-time users only, and we hope that more new users will be able to score this credit in the fall!

I’ve been on the Amazon Shopper panel wait-list for about a year. I spend a lot of money at Amazon not just for my family, but also for my job–so I am not sure what the criteria is to be accepted as a panelist. ๐Ÿค”

  2. Varsha darekar

Itโ€™s any paid review on Amazon?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Varsha! If you’re referring to the Amazon Shopper Panel, you would have to make purchases outside of Amazon (10 eligible receipts per month) in order to earn rewards. Once you’ve uploaded those eligible receipts, you’ll have the option to choose from a $10 Amazon Balance reward or $10 charitable donation. You will also receive short surveys about brands or products that may be of interest to you and you can earn rewards for each survey you complete. Hoping this is helpful! โค๏ธ

      • HeatherW1983

Iโ€™ve earned over $120 just this year thanks to the shopper panel. Itโ€™s so easy to scan in any 10 receipts and check the app every couple of days for surveys (all of which are less than 1 min long and under 5-10 questions!) I average around $12-$16 every single month and itโ€™s automatically added to my Amazon gift card balance without having to do anything extra. ABSOLUTELY THE EASIEST WAY TO EARN FREE AMAZON $.

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Sweet! Thanks for sharing all those details! I’m still on the waiting list myself, but it sounds exciting and totally worth it! ๐Ÿฅฐ

        • franny5

yes I love it. i feel like it helps pay for Amazon for me

      • Becca

What app is this again? I use Stitch, iirc, to upload my receipts. I have so many each week they stop me from uploading them. I guess they think Iโ€™m picking them up in the parking lot lol In reality, I just do a ridiculous amount of shopping.
Iโ€™d be interested in learning about other, similar, options.
        Thanks!

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Becca! The Amazon Shopper Panel app (mentioned in tip #5 in the post) is one option – though there is a waitlist for submitting receipts. Another great option that the Hip team and readers love is Fetch! Hoping these might be a great option for you! ๐Ÿ’•

  3. Jeanette---

Put my name on the waitlist for the shopper panel!!! Thanks for these tips!!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welcome! Good luck! ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’•

  4. Peaches

I love Amazon Shopper Panel. Easy $10+ every month!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      ME TOO! ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ™Œ

  5. Peaches

I get a prepaid Visa every year as the rebate for my dog’s heartworm/flea treatment pills. $45 is a great rebate but I tended to tuck those cards away and then forget all about them until after they expired in the past. This works out way better.

  6. liltricky00

Iโ€™ve been on the shopper panel since beta and love earning credits for normal shopping. I always do my fetch rewards then Amazon shopper panel. It makes it way easier to remember.

    • liltricky00

Over $250 on Amazon rewards so far since I started. When you do your 10 receipts it gives you $10 monthly. Every other day or so there is an additional survey from .10 to 2.50 additional earnings. They also just started ad measurements which give you money additionally when ads are surveyed.

    • Jackie Valyou

      How do I get on

      • Claudette (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Jackie! You can find the Amazon Shopper Panel app link above. This is available by invitation only, however you may be added to a waiting list or find that youโ€™ve already been invited when trying to sign up!

  7. Amy

I am trying to do the shopper panel app, but it won’t let me log in. Amazon customer service says this is invite only

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Sorry for any confusion, Amy. That does appear to be available through invite only. Be sure to keep checking back as you may find that you’re accepted! Hoping you can sign up soon! ๐Ÿคžโค๏ธ

  8. Debbie

I am on the app. But, so far, I only received the surveys. when I click on “Submit a Receipt”, it says there is a wait list. I have been doing the surveys since February, 2023. How long does it take to be able to submit receipts? I would love the opportunity. Any suggestions?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Debbie! I can’t remember when I signed up (it’s definitely been a while), but I’m also on the “waitlist” for receipt submission. I believe it’s a popular program, so you might just keep checking back. Hoping you’re able to get through soon! ๐Ÿคž

  9. Natalie

I was on the wait list forever, and finally was invited to join in Feb 2023, but I am only able to do surveys. Receipt submissions are wait-list for me still. As far as the surveys go, there have only been 3 for me to take so far.
    : /
I think once you are able to submit receipts, it could be worth it.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing how the rewards app is going for you, Natalie. Hoping you’re able to get on the receipt submission option soon! ๐Ÿคž

  10. Justina

#2 is a Fabulous idea—Thanks! I often lose 25 cents here, 90cents there on those prepaid rebate cards, this is fabulous–thanks!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Justina! Glad that tip was helpful for you! ๐Ÿฅฐ

  11. riss

Amazon shopper panel, survey plus $2 ad verification = at least $12/month. It pays for the prime membership. So easy and convenient.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! It sure is an awesome program! Happy to hear that your rewards help pay for your Prime membership, riss! ๐Ÿ™Œ

  12. ReneeAnn

We signed up for the credit card last year for prime day because the rewards are better than what we previously had. We accumulate points so fast we had plenty of Amazon credit to pay for Christmas gifts. 5% back on Amazon purchases can be a lot over a year. I also linked my Amazon card to the Drop app for more points (referral code 4bahq for $10 credit)

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

So awesome that you were able to accumulate points fast and use your Amazon credits to pay for Christmas gifts, ReneeAnn! ๐Ÿ™Œ Thanks for mentioning the tip about linking your Amazon card to the Drop app too! ๐Ÿ’ž

  13. Lynn Brown

Ok girls what exactly are you talking about linking your Amazon card to the drop app ? Oh and Iโ€™m definitely going to put myself on the waitlist or does it automatically put you on a waitlist when you go to sign up for it? Thanks in advance for your help . Been with you guys from the start Iโ€™ve always told friends and family you have to check out Hip2Save if you want to k ow all the latest deals online and in stores !

  14. loren

I’ll crack the $300 mark on the Panel on July 1. I signed up, got the waitlist email, and a week later I was in, who knows how or why? Its well worth to keep trying. I didnt do the ad part, I wasnt interested until they raise the payoff, $2 just seemed not worth messing with settings on my phone.

You could also look into Google Opinion Rewards, I’m at $380 on that app. Also very simple, they started receipts recently, 12 cents per to take a photo, plus survey from 10 cents up to $1.50 for me. Most take just a few seconds. They pay out in Googlr monry, not cash. It is enough to pay for YoutubeTV 2-3 months per year.

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

Wow, that’s great! So glad you’ve been able to earn extra money on the shopper panel, loren! Thanks for letting us know how it worked for you and for mentioning the Google Opinion Rewards. We’ll check that out! ๐Ÿ˜Š โค๏ธ

  15. loren

Getting the $100 bonus for Amazon Visa is not their best deal. Hold out for $200. It comes around a couple times a year. Also, get one for yourself, and then later, your husband/wife can get one as well, with another $200 bonus.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for mentioning that offer, loren. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for this one – hoping it pops up again this year! ๐Ÿคžโค๏ธ
