- Sign up for an AARP membership! This membership is essential to unlocking senior savings and discounts that aren’t available to the general public.
- Always ask before you make a purchase! Many businesses do not voluntarily offer discounts unless they are requested, and franchise establishments may have varying offers by location.
AARP
AARP members get access to carefully chosen discounts, programs, and benefits for those 50 and older. Members save on health & wellness (including prescription medications and eyewear), travel, restaurants, groceries, food delivery services, retail shopping, fraud prevention services, and more.

Albertsons
Select Albertsons may offer a 10% discount on the first Wednesday of each month for those 55 and up. Contact your local store to verify this offer, as it may not be valid at all locations.
AMC
Guests ages 60 and up can get discounted ticket prices at participating AMC theatres every day of the week! Just select Senior Pricing when checking out online.
American Airlines
American Airlines and American Eagle may offer Senior Fares in some domestic markets for seniors 65 years or older. Call American Airlines Reservations at 1-800-433-7300 for more details, or use the Advanced Search feature on their website to see available Senior Fares.
Applebee’s
Guests ages 60+ may be able to get 10% to 15% off at participating locations. This deal may require a Golden Apple Card, which is only recognized at select Applebee’s locations. Be sure to call your local store to verify participation.
Arby’s
Seniors age 55 or older may be able to get a 10% discount at Arby’s. Some locations also offer a free drink. Contact your local restaurant to verify participation.
Avis Rent-A-Car
AARP members save up to 30% off base rates, plus get an upgrade on compact through full-size car class bookings (based on availability), an additional driver at no cost, and more. Reservations can be booked online or by phone through Avis.
Best Western
Guests 55 and older can save up to 15% on room rates at Best Western Hotels & Resorts. Book your stay at over 4,200 hotels worldwide and enjoy complimentary breakfast, FREE Wi-Fi, and points that never expire!
Bonefish Grill
AARP Members can visit Bonefish Grill and save 10% off their dining bill (excluding alcohol, applicable taxes, and gratuity). To receive your 10% discount, just show your valid AARP membership card during dinner, lunch, or Sunday brunch at any participating Bonefish Grill location.
British Airways
AARP members save $65 off World Traveller (economy) and World Traveller Plus (premium economy) or $200 off Club World (business class) fares when they purchase round-trip transatlantic tickets online to over 130 destinations, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Present your AARP membership card at any participating Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant and save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Budget Rent-A-Car
AARP members save up to 30% off base rates, plus get an upgrade on compact through full-size car class bookings (based on availability), an additional driver at no cost, and more. Reservations can be booked online or by phone through Budget.
Carabba’s Italian Grill
AARP members can visit Carrabba’s Italian Grill any day of the week to save 10% off their entire dining bill (excluding alcohol, applicable taxes, and gratuity).
Chart House
AARP members save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages at Chart House.
CiCis Pizza
Many CiCis restaurants do offer senior discounts. However, since most of the stores are individually owned, discounts may vary from location to location. Contact your local Cicis to inquire about discounts.
Cinemark
Cinemark offers a Senior Day discount price on participating days, valid for any movie, any showtime (excludes Cinemark XD, Xtreme, IMAX, and Special Engagements). Check your local theatre box office for pricing and participation information.
Corner Bakery Cafe
Present your AARP card to save 10% on dine-in and carry-out orders at Corner Bakery Cafe. This discount cannot be applied to delivery orders.
Denny’s
AARP members can visit Denny’s any day of the week to save 15% off their entire bill. This offer is valid at participating locations and cannot be combined with other discounts on the same check.
Fred Meyer
On the first Tuesday of every month, seniors age 55+ get an additional 10% off select items. This discount includes private brand groceries and nutrition including Fred Meyer, Kroger, Simple Truth (and more brands), apparel, shoes & accessories, all home including toys, sporting goods, auto & garden, and most electronics.
Goodwill
Goodwill used to have a standard Senior Savings Day where shoppers 60+ could save 10% every Tuesday at any Goodwill store. Now, senior discount days now vary by location. Contact your local Goodwill thrift store to find out when they offer a senior discount.
Harris Teeter
If you’re over 60, you can save 5% at Harris Teeter with your VIC card every Thursday.
Hertz
Travelers 50 and over can save up to 20% on base rates every day as part of the company’s Fifty Plus Program. Plus, take advantage of additional program benefits.
Hilton
AARP members save up to 10% on the best available rate at any one of Hilton’s portfolio of hotels. AARP members can also get late checkout (until 2 p.m.), when available.
IHOP
IHOP offers a special 55+ menu with appropriately sized and priced options — available anytime! Plus, participating locations offer Senior Specials on select days and times, such as 50% off any regular menu item, BOGO entrées, 20% off all regularly priced menu items, and more.
Jiffy Lube
Some Jiffy Lube service centers offer a senior citizens’ discount, but this discount varies from location to location. Please call ahead to your local Jiffy Lube to determine if a discount is available.
Joe’s Crab Shack
AARP members save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages every day at Joe’s Crab Shack.
KFC
KFC does not have a company-wide senior savings policy, but several locations do offer a senior discount of 5-10% or even a free drink with your entrée. Ask at your local KFC to find out if they have a special offer for seniors!
Kohl’s
Kohl’s offers a 15% senior discount every Wednesday in their stores. These savings are valid in-store only for customers aged 60 and up.
Krispy Kreme
While Krispy Kreme does not offer a nationwide senior discount, many locations do offer 10% off for customers 50 and up. Contact your local store to verify participation.
Landry’s, Inc. Restaurants
Show your AARP membership card at any participating Landry’s restaurant to enjoy a 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Marriott
If you’re 62 years or older, you can save 15% or more on your room rate at Marriott brand hotels worldwide, seven days a week. Discounted rooms are offered on a space-available basis, and a maximum of two rooms can be reserved per stay.
McAlister’s Deli
Members save 10% on in-store, in-app, and online orders at all participating McAlister’s Deli locations when they link their AARP membership to their McAlister’s Rewards account.
McCormick & Schmick’s
Show your AARP membership card at any of the McCormick’s family restaurant locations to save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.
McDonald’s
Most McDonald’s locations provide seniors (55+) with discounted coffee and beverages, but since each restaurant is individually owned, be sure to check with your favorite location.
Michaels
If you are age 55 years or older, take 10% off your entire Michaels purchase including sale items every day (exclusions apply). Simply present a valid ID at the register to claim your savings!
Moe’s Southwest Grill
At Moe’s, AARP members save 10% on in-store, in-app, and online orders at all participating Moe’s locations when they link their AARP membership to their Moe’s Rewards account.
The Oceanaire Seafood Room
AARP members save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages every day at The Oceanaire Seafood Room.
Outback Steakhouse
AARP members can visit Outback Steakhouse any day of the week for lunch or dinner and save 10% off their entire dining bill (excluding alcohol, applicable taxes, and gratuity).
Payless Car Rentals
AARP members save 5% on leisure daily, weekly, weekend, and monthly base rates, plus get a free upgrade on compact through full-size car class bookings. Reservations can be booked online or by phone through Payless Car Rental.
Radisson Hotels
AARP members save 10% off the best available rate at all participating Radisson properties. Plus, when you join Radisson Rewards Americas, you can earn Gold status in just four stays.
Rainforest Cafe
Next time you’re visiting Rainforest Cafe, remember to present your AARP membership card to save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Regal Cinemas
AARP members save up to 20% on Regal ePremiere Tickets purchased online (conditions apply). Tickets are valid at all Regal locations nationwide for all movies and showtimes.
Plus, AARP members can save $3 on any size popcorn and soft drink combo at Regal Cinemas! 🍿
Rite Aid
The first Wednesday of every month is dedicated to special senior events and savings for all Rite Aid Rewards+ members 65 and older. These include the following:
- Earn 5x points on in-store purchases
- Special monthly activities with a different health topic each month
- Featured products and information just for seniors
Every Rite Aid Rewards 65+ member also has the opportunity to receive a free pharmacy consultation including a review of:

Saltgrass Steak House
The next time you’re dining at Saltgrass Steak House, remember to present your AARP membership card and save 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Schlotzsky’s
AARP members save 10% on in-store, in-app, and online orders at all participating Schlotzsky’s locations when they link their AARP membership to their Schlotzsky’s Rewards account.
Showcase Cinemas
Showcase offers patrons 60+ the discounted price of $7.75/ticket every Wednesday. This reduced price is valid on all movies, including MX4D, XPlus, IMAX, and RealD 3D. In addition to discounted tickets, seniors can also enjoy popcorn and a fountain beverage for only $5.50.
TCBY
While TCBY doesn’t have a company-wide senior discount, participating TCBY locations may offer customers 55 and over 10% off their entire purchase price.
Ticketmaster
AARP Members can save on tickets to select shows and events booked via Ticketmaster. Offers include 2-for-1 tickets, Me + 3 (4-packs), and events with select tickets under $40
United Airlines
United offers senior fares to selected travel destinations for passengers who are 65 and older. Ask for more details on these discounted fares when you make your reservation, or select the Seniors category when you make your booking on united.com.
Walgreens
When you link your AARP and myWalgreens memberships, seniors 55+ will earn 10% Walgreens Cash rewards on Walgreens branded health and wellness products, 7% Walgreens Cash rewards on Walgreens branded beauty products, and 3% Walgreens Cash rewards on other eligible beauty purchases.
The first Tuesday of every month is also Senior Savings Day at Walgreens. Seniors 55+ can get 20% off all regularly priced eligible items, valid in-store or online. Proof of age may be required for discounts.
Wendy’s
While there’s no nationwide senior discount at Wendy’s, participating locations may offer 10% off your order or a discounted drink. Call your local store for age requirements and other participation details.
Whataburger
Although Whataburger does not have a company-wide senior discount, select locations may offer seniors a free 8-ounce coffee or a small drink with the purchase of a meal. Other locations provide a 10% discount to guests 55+. Contact your local Whataburger to verify participation.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts
Save 10% on the best available rate when you show your AARP card at participating Wyndham hotels and resorts.
Zipcar
AARP Members get $20 off an annual Zipcar membership. Plus, if you’re new to Zipcar, you’ll receive $40 in free driving credit.

The Goodwill stores in Baton Rouge used to be only one Wednesday per month, then it went to every day, but they reduced it to every Wednesday a few years ago.
The Wendy’s in Baton Rouge that my mom goes to the most offers a free drink, not just discounted.
A Taco Bell in a small town in Missouri offers a 10% discount.
With Marriott, not all room types are eligible. It is usually only the basic king and 2 double/queen rooms. Occasionally I have seen the next level or two up, but I have never seen a suite available at the senior rate. The room types above the basic rooms are typically still available at the standard rate.

Many animal shelters and rescues offer a discounted adoption fee for seniors. Some places have a “seniors for seniors” program that promotes the adoption of older animals, and others, like where I volunteer, have a general 25% discount on fees for any adopter over 55%.

People age 55+ get a 10% discount with My Plumber in my area. You could ask your plumber or electrician or HVAC service person if they give senior discounts.
