Select states (see the list below) offer Sales Tax “Holiday” weekends during the summer, which allows shoppers to save money on their back-to-school shopping for clothing, footwear, school supplies, computers, and other items by not having to pay sales tax.

Alabama:

• Dates: July 18-20, 2025
• Save on: Clothing (up to $100 per item), computers or computer software (up to $750 single purchase), school supplies or school art supplies (up to $50 per item), and books (sale prices up to $30 per book)

Arkansas:

• Dates: August 2-3, 2025
• Save on: Clothing/ footwear ($100 or less), clothing accessories and equipment ($50 or less), school & art supplies, electronic devices

Connecticut:

• Dates: August 16-22, 2025
• Save on: Clothing and footwear (up to $300)

Florida:

• Dates: August 1-31, 2025
• Save on: Clothing and footwear (up to $100), school supplies (up to $50), computers and computer-related accessories (up to $1,500)

Iowa:

• Dates: August 1-2, 2025
• Save on: Clothing & footwear (up to $100 per item)

Maryland:

• Dates: August 9-15, 2025

Mississippi:
