More Happy Friday

We ❤️ our delivery drivers!

Because we rely on them for so many things, it’s important we thank our delivery drivers, and this week’s Happy Friday reader, Michelle, is sharing how she goes the extra mile and decorates her care packages based on each season and holiday!

milk chocolate gold coins

The most fun part is decorating these care packages! With St. Paddy’s Day, approaching, there are so many green packaged foods and chocolate gold coins that you could display in a black pot!

Our delivery drivers have begun to look forward to our changing snack displays, and we love to surprise them.

The best part? This display was made using items from Dollar Tree (the inspiration for the basket came from YouTube).

We love incorporating holidays and different treats. Small price to pay for convenience and we save money by using Hip2Save deals on the treats.

Michelle, I love that you took this a step further and theme your delivery driver care packages based on the time of year! I can only imagine the smiles on the faces of all the delivery drivers who look forward to visiting your home. ❤️

The Valentine’s Day bundle was too cute, and, with St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, we’ve already spotted tons of St. Paddy’s Day decorations at Dollar Tree you can use to spice up your care package!

I love this and how creative Michelle is in how she displays the snacks. Such a great reminder of a simple way to thank others that make your life easier. I am sure each delivery driver really appreciates the thought Michelle puts into this. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

First of all, this is awesome and I never would have thought of it! Michelle, you’ve done an amazing job on the presentation, but even more amazing is your kindness and appreciation that motivates you to do this. I’m from TX but now in ME and I never would’ve been able to fully appreciate just what our postal and delivery workers go through until days like today, where I look outside at the snowstorm going on and I feel so bad for all of them having to be out in this and have huge appreciation for them. Michelle, you’re awesome and H2S, you’re awesome too…thank you for posting!!

I am sorry if I come across as a negative Nellie here I just see these posts and because I work at a delivery company I know the behind the scenes activity. I alwayd feel that the driver gets all the credit when in fact they do not even load their own trucks, it is for before they even arrive at work I work in the hub and inside we are hussling especially during Peak and we are barely taking care of our own needs personal needs from the inside seeimg to it that everyone gets their stuff in a timely manner. After Peak season is over we ALL get hot dogs, hamburgers and a tee shirt with Peak year that we survived. The drivers are paid well I just feel people give them way more credit when most of the hussle is done inside of the hubs. I’m sure they appreciate it, it does suck from the inside seeing somone on the outside get a pat on the back for all the work done inside.

Unfortunately life is like that. There will always be the visible people who get credit but the ones behind the scene are not noticed or thought of. Thank you for your hard work, hopefully more people will realize the hard work you and your coworkers do.

        I appreciate your kind words!!
Sorry if I came across as a Negative Nellie, it really is a hard job on the inside I do it because I love it and what it does for my healthand fitness.

Can’t do it without the team. Where i work, I’m the face, but behind me there’s a team that takes over. They are rockstars. They make me look good when job well done, and bad when not done.

Thank you for your comment Jesssie, it does make sense, I just hope that all the ones that get the credit know how hard the ones behind the scenes are working to make them look good.

MG- thank you for everything you and others do behind the scenes. Because it’s the delivery drivers that we interact with, I hadn’t considered this point of view. You are appreciated.

Sorry to bring it up the way I did, just after a hard peak season and now tax return time we see employees leave the workload get a even harder for the ones that stay. It is not always easy and when I’m seeing others get credit when we bust our backs to get a job done is sometimes hard to swallow.
Thank you or your kind words!!
        I really appreciate them!! <3

MG, I was commenting specifically on who the post mentioned, and never even considered who plays huge parts in these delivery companies and I never meant to discount those employees. And I apologize. I should know better, I had a very good friend who starting at 16, started at the bottom at UPS. By our junior year of college, he was showing up for morning classes 5 days/wk after loading trucks since 3am I think it was. Y’all are absolutely the hardest workers at UPS,FedEx, etc. Thank you for pointing things like this out. I don’t think you’re a negative Nellie at all!!
