Helping Make a Difference…
As most of you know by now, a huge earthquake hit Haiti on Tuesday, January 12th… killing hundreds of thousands of people. Desperation is growing in Haiti and we can all help make a huge difference by donating just a few dollars. Think of the impact we can make by coming together and donating!
How can you give back?
Well, first make sure you’re donating to a legit organization. As sad as this is to say, there are lots of scams out there. CNN has put together a great resource here with a list of legit organizations you can donate to. The Red Cross offers an option to donate $10 by sending a simple text message. Just Text Haiti to 90999 to donate $10. You can check out more details on this donation here.
Also, let us know what ways you’re helping to make a difference in the comment section. Lets all try and inspire one another!
THANK YOU for posting!!!!!!!!! I have several friends over there – all ok, thank God – and it means so much to me that you posted this. Thank you to everyone who donated!!! <3

I am a Pampered Chef consultant and I have set up an online party. I will be donating ALL of my commission to Water Missions International (watermissions.org). They are taking several water treatment systems to Haiti begining tomorrow!
If you would like to order, you can enter Kimberlee Westlake as the host name and all orders will go towards this fundraiser!
Over the past few weeks I’ve gotten lots of freebies that all happen to be first aid type items (band aids, gauze, hand sanitizer, wipes) and was wondering what to do with them. After the quake missionary friends of ours set out an email asking for relief items. I’m am sending a box of first aid, hygeine, and relief items to them in Port-au-Prince. They have to pay shipping from FL to Haiti via cargo plane, best thing about my freebies or nearly free items I can take the money I saved and apply it to all the shipping cost for them. There is a causes pages sent up for them on facebook. https://apps.facebook.com/causes/?m=ed6ae9f3
