I did something like this with Toy story and Princess and the Frog last year and it worked perfectly.
I went last week and reserved my copy of both combo packs. They give you a card (well its a little bigger than a gift card size) with a barcode that you have to bring back with the receipt when you pick up the movie.
It makes sense if you read through it carefully. I’m still debating… Our Toys R Us has buttheads staffed…

Yes, you should be able to, I reserved my copy a few weeks ago using a gift card.
The question is, is $10/each a good price to you. You only spend $20 out of pocket. It all makes sense to me but it does require some work. I may try it though to get them as gifts for nieces.
I was initially confused by step #2 because you paid $10 to pre-order Tinkerbell, and the set retails at $29.99… So I didn’t understand why you still had to pay $10 after the $10 coupon and the $10 instant rebate… Took me a minute to realize the other $10 is for pre-ordering Beauty and the Beast. I don’t think you get the $10 off the movie purchase when you pre-order Beauty and the Beast. I pre-ordered both and was told I would get the $10 off when I pick up Beauty and the Beast (which isn’t for awhile).

I have already preordered Tinkerbell! I’m so excited for this deal. I figured this out the other day. Its pretty easy. Just Preorder Tinkerbell (preordering is easy, just go to the dvd area and pick up a preorder card, take it to the check out as you would a dvd and pay the $10 for the preorder.), Then go to pick up Tinkerbell and preorder Beauty and the Beast (see previous instructions), use the tinkerbell coupon and get a $10 discount for preordering Beauty. You will pay $10 for Tinkerbell and Beatuy preorder. You will then get a gift card for $10 that you use when you pick up beauty and the beast. You then use this giftcard and the beauty coupon to get beauty for free.
You HAVE to do it in this order. You can’t preorder the two movies at the same time otherwise you won’t get $10 off tinkerbell.
Don’t forget, you can also get the charm bracelet from Disney Movie rewards.

I am betting it will work, because it says off ANY Disney Bluray. But you have to buy it in the same transaction. However, you might want to check the fine print just in case.
I don’t think the $10 off (when you pre-order Beauty and the Beast) can be applied to Tinkerbell because my TRU stated that you receive the discount off the 2nd Disney movie when you pick up the B&B DVD NOT at the time of pre-order:(
The wording on the Beauty & the Beast pre-order card states that if you pre-order BATB you save $10 WYB any Disney Blu-ray of $19.99 or higher TODAY so I would think that the $10 would apply to the Tinkerbell movie. The card doesn’t state save $10 on your next visit/purchase.

Right now there is a $5 off $25 toys r us coupon (I got it in an email) could you use this on the tinkerbell movie?
yes, I believe you would have to use it when you pick it up and pay the remaining balance and pre-order beauty and the beast at the same time. It’s the only way to get your balance up to $25 (I think you’ll probably have to get a filler item – some gum or candy to get your pre-tax total over $25) because the pre-order for beauty and the beast is only $5.
When I was at TRU today reserving Tink, I noticed the preorder for Toy Story 3 is similar to the Beauty and the Beast offer!!! Meaning, when you go to pick up B&TB, preorder TS3 and get $10 off B&TB!!!!!! Save your Tink GC for buying TS3 (which hopefully will have a coupon too, in time!!:D )

What happens if you preorder tinkerbell and then find a better deal somewhere else and don’t get it at toys r us? Would you be able to get a refund of the preorder $10 deposit? I am worried that toys r us will not take a printed coupon. Stores are starting to refuse them.
they should give you a refund on your deposit. i tried to do a deal like this last year at T R’ US this when Snow White was released and Target wound up having a better deal, since Toys R’ Us wouldn’t price match Target’s deal they refunded me my $10 deposit without any problem.
How do you know that both Tink and B&B combo packs will be $19.99? Did someone see the ad that far ahead or is it currently advertised at Toys R Us?
The reg. price is $29.99… You pay $10 for the pre-order. When you pick up your movie, you pay the remainder of the balance.. making it $19.99. HTH.

I get it. We preorder TB at $29.99. We pay $10 to PO and balance is $19.99 (plus tax).
Then once its available, we go and preorder BntB for $10. We get $10 off instantly another combo pack of $19.99 or higher. With that $10, we then BUY the TB movie at $19.99 balance. We use the $10 coupon and after the $10 for preorder BntB and the coupon, its free ($19.99 -$10-$10) not counting tax).
Then we get a $10 GC for the preorder of TB once we bought it. We use that $10 card and the $10 coupon to pay the balance of the $19.99 of BntB.
Only flaw is our TRU taxes on teh total. so its about $4.5 additional. $25 for 2 combo packs isn’t that bad.
I wonder if TRU will accept a price match or lwer the price. If they price match, I don’t know if the deal will work as #2 then the TB movie might be under $19.99 when its time to actually buy.
I just saw a coupon out for $5 off of $25 at TRU. I think that might be a way of rolling into the transaction when picking up the Tinkerbelle DVD? I’m not sure. If it is it would work, since the DVD is $19.99, but it might be a way to get something for around $5 for free? This is what I was hoping to do and throwing in the Toy Story 3 DVD is a bonus! Has anyone had luck using the $5/25 before other coupons? My TRU is picky, they will not let you use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale so I’m thinking they might restrict the 5/25 to after all other discounts are applied!?
