Walmart: Will Price Match During Black Friday
Wow!! I have some great news for all you Walmart shoppers out there! Walmart recently announced that they will price match Black Friday ads. Yes, Black Friday ads!!! 😀
Check out what they’ve stated in their press release:
Walmart is one of the only retailers that will price match competitors’ ads on “Black Friday.” Customers simply bring in competitors’ ads and Walmart will match the price of any identical product right at the register, making Walmart the easiest place to save this holiday season.
The retailer’s three days of savings will commence with Thanksgiving Day online-only specials followed by unbeatable prices on Friday, Nov. 26 on electronics, home and apparel items. Also on Friday starting at midnight, Walmart will offer treats and entertainment to customers including 5-Hour Energy, Great Value Breakfast Bars, donut holes, Trident Gum and Hershey Holiday Kisses.2 Electronics savings in store will continue on Saturday, Nov. 27 including the largest shipment of new Kinect sensors and Xbox 360 bundles while supplies last.

It’s good advertising – but it’s not true. If you read it – it says it will match IDENTICAL products. Well – most big-box stores carry products that are just slightly different – have a different product number, etc. That is how they get out of truly honoring a statement like this. It’s pretty much a bait and switch – which Walmart is well known for……
Question….i bought something at Walmart last week that is on sale on BF. Do you think they would let me reutrn it and buy it right back?

I did this last year at Walmart. The cashier had a great attitude about it. I got all my identical shopping done there. This year, I am finding out what all Wal-mart has in advance and finding out where it is in store to get more done quicker 🙂
I have read through ALL the comments hear and was hoping someone already asked this but…can I “price match” a doorbuster item from anotehr store at Walmart AND use a manufacturer’s coupon (not a tore coupon)? I would appreciate the help, anyone who could answer this!
I have never done this before but if it is a manufacturer coupon, they should take it. If you don’t want to risk it I would give them a call asap before they get the big rush at 12am
it depends on your cashier if they are friendly enough to let you use the coupon then yes and one time the CSM had to come they refuse to take the coupon because i was price matching and getting the item for free. Since you are price matching, you won’t be able to use a coupon to save even more. I guess it depends on your CSM to make that decision. They told me over the phone, if I price match I’m already getting a discount and using a coupon they told me NO so its one or the other
I used both,here in Ohio,on a purchase.
I have used coupons w/ price matched products many times. HOWEVER, I have been told that Wal-Mart will not match their own prices. They state they will match “competitor prices”
A friend who’s friend’s husband works at Walmart pointed out that ONLY electronics start with the 5am doorbuster. Everything else in the ad starts 12:01am Friday. Just in case I wasn’t the only one to notice that. Can’t believer I’ve had the ad for over a week and just figured it out lol.
I heard that if I brought in my Kroger ad that states they will double coupons up to $1.00 Walmart will match it. Is this true?
I would think that is considered a “gimmick” and they would not do it.
This week I tried to price match the liquid coffee mate creamer that was on sale at Walgreens BOGO. The Walgreens ad says “buy one get one free. get 2 for $2.29”. They would no do it saying it was a gimmick. I thought they might since it actually had a price listed. I know this is not really related to your question,, but thought I’d share.
they wont do BOGO around here.ask at the service desk,beforehand if your not sure if they’ll take an ad.
They do double when I bring in Albertsons doublers. So if there is something written in the ad it might work. I would talk to a manager. Or call them. Good luck!

Walmart denied my price match. The manager got involved and everything. I was second in line for the 12:01am sales and brought a Target ad with me and they refused to price match. Kind of a let down.
Walmart did price match everything I purchased that was cheaper at another store!!! Yeahhhh, made shopping much easier 🙂
At around 4pm today I did a great price match. I took the Best Buy Flier to Walmart and bought the Wii console including Sport & Resort for $169.00. Then ontop of that Walmart gave me a $50.00 gift Card. = $119.00 for the Wii.
Only thing is that it had to be the exact Wii advertised in the flyer. I couldnt get the red wii.
I did price match the Thomas and Friends Roundabout Station at 12 PM and used my 2 $10 coupons from Parenting magazine. I got 2 sets for $5.39. The first Walmart was out of stock, so I went to the second one. The coupon beeped and the cashier pushed it through, but it took lot of time for the cashier to ask supervisor if I can price match and use coupon at the same time. Anyways, I got my 2 cheap Thomas sets but won’t do it again.

Wal-Mart just wont do the BOGO(BUY One,Get One free things.)You can do grocery items from other stores(have to be in your area).
