As 2010 is coming to an end, I thought it would be fun to look back at the last 12 months and share my favorite deals and have you share your favorite deal(s) that you were able to score! Although there have been some deals that did not work out quite as well as we all had planned, there were many deals that turned out even better than we expected!

Here are some of my personal favorite “Hip” deals from 2010…

Amazon Diaper Deals (I know a lot of you snagged diapers and wipes at some amazing prices!)
EO Bubble Bath 3 pack for 96¢ shipped (regularly $40!)
FREE $20 Gilt credit which made for some FREE items!
Pro-Force Cleaning Kit sample from Sam’s Club…turned out to be quite the “sample”!
Rite Aid Halloween Candy Craziness (can you say stomach-ache?!)
High value $2/1 Pampers Wipes Coupon

Check out these emails (and pictures below) from readers, Rachel and Steph. Rachel shares how she has used some of her favorite deals…

My pre-school son has 11 teachers (he moved to the “big” school late fall so there are twice as many this year) that I want to thank. Because of your site, all year long I was able to “hoard” full-size hair products, $10 razors, name-brand lotions, you name it!! I bought cute reusable baskets on super-clearance last January. There is more than $350 worth of EVERYDAY products – not fru-fru stuff they can’t use. With the Olay rebates and ECBs I ended up not “spending” a dime – but what really makes me happy is that I was able to create something for all his teachers all year, and I am not looking at a massive credit card bill in January! I am not comfortable just giving cash. The money you help me save lets me do “fun” stuff….like run the Marine Corps Marathon last October!

I just want to share a success story from one of the great deals you posted a few months back. Do you remember the post for the Tanger Outlet Facebook promo…like them and you get a $50 voucher for $25. Well the voucher email had to be redeemed in 10 days after receipt and I couldn’t make the hour drive within the time frame to pick it up. So, on my scheduled shopping trip with the fam, I emailed my local Tanger Outlet manager to see if he would still honor the deal. He was unable to do so, BUT he gave me a great alternative gift: A free coupon book (which came in handy for savings at several stores) and a FREE $50 gift card to the Ultra Diamond store. I thought for sure I couldn’t find anything for $50, but I DID! I got a beautiful black pearl drop necklace (pictured above)…for FREE! I didn’t even have to pay the $25 for the original voucher offer. How great is that!

So…now it’s your turn! What was your favorite deal(s) of 2010? Be sure to let us know in the comment section below. And here’s to lots of great and amazing deals in 2011! 🙂

I can’t pick a favorite…well, the tag reader (Toy Story Tag Jr) and books were amazing! but Just having the knowledge has been great. I’ve filled so many goodie bags, shoe boxes for sailors, baskets for teachers, friends, etc and toy donations, YAY!!. This has allowed me to give like I have always wanted to and I’m so thankful. I am planning to be more efficient this year and really stock up on those toy deals for next christmas’ toy drives (it felt so great to see my kids bring bags of toys to the various drives), so I can save money and give like I feel I need to! Thanks Collina and everyone who contributes. Merry Christmas,

Hands down the Red Roof Inn deal. It was the first week I started following your site. Scored 4 rooms in downtown San Antonio for 4 cents. Then used restaurants.com for an amaizing dinner on the riverwalk.

I think my favorite thing is that you make it easier for us to pay it forward MORE each year!!!
Back to school deals allowed us to donate 6 backpacks FILLED with supplies to local schools.
Toy deals and coupon matchups add to our stockplile for Toy donations to a local program.
Freebies w/coupon matchups and $$$ makers allow me to have HUGE boxes tucked away to donate to local shelters and programs.
Dog and cat food freebies allow us to donate to a local rescue.
Military freebies and matchups allow me to forward deals to my brother, neices, nephews and friends serving.
And my bonus (step) kids think I’m the best for keeping them in style for pennies.
I tucked away a large portion of our savings from everyday deals and put all our rebate checks into a specific account. We just got back from Hawaii where we shared my parents 40 year vow renewal with family. We were able to pay cash for everything but $200. Pretty amazing!!!

As a teacher I wanted to say Thanks for what you did. During last year school season, before I started using coupons, a mom use to bring me things like toothpaste, wipe off markers, etc. I thought these were the best gifts since I have 4 children and go through all kinds of stuff. Most teachers are swamped during the school year and spend A LOT of their own money on their classrooms so practical gifts really help.

I really enjoyed the Burt’s Bees grab bags. They went a long way in creating small gifts!

I also got a sweet deal when Kmart/Sears were having their daily shop your way to rewards.
I got a coffee pot that grinds the coffee for you for only $40. Those things go for $150 and up. I was super excited.

At the risk of sounding like a stalker-in-the-making, or at the very least, kind of a dork… YOU are my favorite deal Collin! Your blog and every deal in it paired with your fabulous personality makes my day! EVERY day! You’re inspiring and generous-hearted. YOU’RE the REAL DEAL!

I wish for a safe, prosperous, and happy New Year for you and your family. Thanks so much for making the past year more prosperous and fun for so many.
