As a former resident of New Orleans who went through Katrina and then Gustav a couple of years later, well, I just want to say thank you for being you.

  2. Mia

Crying too. Our son and his wife and our two small grandsons live right outside of B’ham and their neighborhood was not touched. I had seen pictures on the news but not as graphic as these. Makes me realize how our family was spared. Thanks for what you are doing and the love you ae showing to these hurting people.

  4. Sharon

Wow, I am crying too!! Thank you all.

That is totally amazing, Collin. I’ll pray for health for your gang, and also for that woman who lost her daughter. Such devastation. But I’m so glad that you had some goodie bags for her, and that you have blessed the people that you have on the tour. Each one of them was hand picked by the Lord, and I’m so glad you’re there.

  6. Michele

Collin, bless the heart of that lady. I so just wanted to reach through the computer and hug her. May God bless her, and comfort her, in the loss of her daughter. I too wish you safe travel, and hoping that your kiddos get well soon.

  14. Abigail

Wow… how touching and how powerful. I was in tears when that lady was talking… How hard that must be for her to lose her daughter…

  23. Christina

CRYING () () (), can’t stop, like the rain poaring down for all of us who can’t be there. It just amazes me all the time in life how things can happen for a reason, one we may not see in our immediate site. You where most certainly meant to meet that woman and hear her, partly for you , BUT MOST OF ALL TO BE THE EAR THAT SHE MAY HAVE NEEDED TO JUST LISTEN. I believe that with all my heart.

Thank you for sharing her with us.

Collin, your family, and everyone involved…STAY SAFE, hugs and luv 🙂

  24. The Mom @ Babes in Hairland

Simply amazing what you’re doing. You’re awesome Collin. I don’t think it was a coincidence that you came across that lady on her front porch. I don’t believe in such thing. A very wise man once said, “God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other.”

So thank you Collin for being one of those people … serving other people & being such an example to the world. You are an inspiration to us all.

  25. kimi

This is what it is all about, people helping people. Thank you for all that you do, and the family and friends who are with you on this journey.

  26. Jean in Calif.

Your right there is a reason for everything and God had a plan for the stuff you put back in your truck. My heart goes out to all the people who lost their homes and loved ones. God will also bless you and your team for all that you have done to help.

  27. Olivia Douglass

The most touching video I have ever seen- brought tears to my eyes to see what these people have suffered through. I hope that you all on the tour are feeling better, I am praying for you as you continue on. You are doing such a major thing for these people and it sure does show me how genuine and true your team is to helping those in need. Thanks for posting this video, what an eye opener.

  28. Barbi

I have no words…the goosebumps say it all.

  29. Betty

As much as I know Collin is a real human being, sometimes I think she might be an undercover super hero or something… (oops! I didnt out you, did I?) Collin, some people might say you have a heart of gold, but gold is metal… I think your heart is made of 100% pure LOVE. You are amazing for doing this, and for letting us all help out and be a part of it even if its just through seeing what you are doing for these families. It is almost incomprehensible how much of a difference you are making, not only on your trip but right here as we all watch you change people’s lives. It is so inspiring and there isn’t a doubt in my mind that you have motivated a good percentage of your readers to be much more active in helping out at the very least a little more than normal, but I would like to think it’s much bigger than that. You change so many people’s lives everyday, and not only the people you reach through your blog and of course this trip, but the people those people reach out to because of your influence. Its so amazing the impact you are having and I cant wait to see whats next for team Collin. You have such a great team and such a huge support system, the possibilities are endless! Thanks so much for being such an wonderful inspiration! <3

  30. Sarah

Collin, the comments before mine sum it all up. You are an incredible woman and I am inspired by you. To see just over 100 comments on this post vs. the more than 500 (the last time I checked it anyway) comments on the post you removed regarding the woman asking for advice on selling her stockpile items at a garage sale, and all of the nastiness, terrible name-calling and drama that ensued, really makes me step back and think. What if the world focused more on the things that truly matter, as you have shown us through this touching video, and less on just standing on a sopabox jabbering away? Well, I believe the answer is simple. It would be a truly better place. Thank you for showing each of us, through your kind heart and selfless actions, that walking The Walk is never as easy as talking The Talk, but ALWAYS better and far more rewarding. Best wishes to your babies for a speedy recovery, safe travels for you and your team and God’s blessings upon all of you for doing His good work.

  31. Allie

there are so many people who need help. I see it all the time. Its having the resources and the right timely that make things possible. I have no doubt that Heavenly Father sent you to that woman’s house, it was the right timing and you had the resources. What a great story!! My dad always told me that the best plans sometimes turn out in a totally different way and it is usually when you are doing good in the world and giving to others that those who truly need help will some how fall in your lap and those “unplanned” experiences are some of the best ones. I hope you find some more “unplanned” experiences to help those in need. What an awesome story!

  32. Tamara

Tears… such a reminder to count each blessing.. Everyday, small or large.. Thank you Hip2Help!

  33. Rita

WOW & thanks for all that you do!

  34. cara

Please keep posting these awesome updates. I love the new video editing-it helps give it the impact that it needs to have. I hope you decide to do another tour later on as I think these videos help people see how you’re making an impact with the donations and maybe they’ll be even more to donate next time! God Bless Collin and thanks again for every minute you’re doing something. You and your group are truely angels.

  35. tracie

The work you all are doing is amazing. Bless you guys!

  36. Carol W

    Amazing.

    Speechless.

  37. Shelley

Thanks for sharing this with us. Lets stop debating about making $25 at a garage sale and give more to the people that need it. I am hoping for a speedy recovery of all of you on your trip, hang in there, nothing that is worth something in life is easy, so know that you are doing great things. I hope that you are an insipiration to those that need some!

  38. Linda C.

Every once in a while you meet someone (in this case in cyberspace) that touches a part of you that makes you truly believe in angels on earth. What you are doing is generous beyond words and filled with so much love, light and compassion that it leaves me speechless and awestruck after watching each video.

You are doing amazing things that are changing lives not only for your families, but for those of us who are fellow couponistas – keep showering them with your love and it will be returned to you a hundred fold.

I hope that your family it well again real soon.

Looking forward to more amazing stories!

I’m just sitting here in tears, they are just pouring out! I can’t beleive how lucky I am to have my family safe here in Missouri. Yesterday I was at the Cancer Hospital for over 3 hours, after 8 mammogram xrays and ultrasounds they have found a nodules and cysts in my breasts and want to do surgery, I have no insurance and 2 small children. I was feeling really low and hadn’t cried yet….this video shows me that no matter what, I have my family and we are together and I need to live like there is no tomorrow, for the Lord made life that way! Give and keep on giving as that is all we were ever given the ability to do, just as God gave us life, we must give to help our common man! Thanks for all you do!

I came back on to see again as I had cried the first time, and am down. sometimes it makes me feel better though I don’t personally know collin. I am wanting to sell off all my things…more so becuase I have lost me, don’t need anything…they are just things and need the money. I was just thinking too how I have been through so much, no understanding, not wanting to take anymore…I am breaking…I am broken. someone I know had cancer, others passed to early, such heartache and loss people have endured that really don’t deserve it and yet why am I still here, I don’t wish to be. I have done no great or amazing thing, nor made any difference in anybody’s life…they just walk and don’t ever look back. It must be me. I read your comment and exactly…I bet you are an amazing mother of those children and I am sorry you have to go through such a scare. It is ok for you to feel low, another’s pain is no more pain or more deserved pain than your own, if that makes sence. I wish I could take your place

  40. Monica B.

Not only are you touching the lives of those that have been affected by the storms. You are touching and changing lives thru your testimony. This is awesome!! Who knew when you started your blog about helping others save money that it would develop into this. Thank you for what you are doing! God is doing amazing things thru you!

  41. Melinda P

I cried so hard. You’re right, Collin, things happen for a reason. Hope everyone is feeling better.

  42. Gina

Absolutely amazing……You and everyone who has helped, at all to make this possible, donating or organizing……..you are truly angels………you are teaching your young just as you were taught what amazing women and men you are……..

  43. Tonya

I just wanted to say that your video truely brought tears to my eyes. I kept thinking how often do we go on with our everyday lives, and continue to live and take things for granted when those who have been effected by the tornadoes are just happy with the little things you have brought them, or the little things that they have. Your video showed me not to take my every day life for granted, and to count my blessings everyday. You are truly an amazing person for caring, and loving everyone around you. The world needs more people like you. Thank you for being you, and thanks to all of your help and volunteers for being them!

  44. JennyB

What an amazing video, I am still emotional over it. I am so proud of Collin, she is just an incredible woman and such an inspiration.

  45. Carrie

Keep on doing what you are doing and thank you for being an inspiration.

  47. Kaitlyn
