  19. Ann Dee

I had myself a good cry watching this video. I felt your exhaustion with it all…sick kids, setting up and packing up in the HEAT, things not going the way you planned, people not showing up for all the help you had to give them. And then you met that sweet lady and I was reminded that it’s about being with your loved ones and HELPING others…I get so wrapped up in my own spoiled life…Thanks, Collin. I needed this reminder.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

God Bless You and your families for doing this!

  30. Suzanne

Wow, what great videos – tears in my eyes hearing that woman talk. Just remember, even if a lot of people don’t show up to each event, perhaps the people that do will take extra and pay it forward to people they know that are also in need. I’m sure everything will get to the right pla(s) in the end!

One thing I saw working in the distribution tents in Joplin was many people getting supplies because they are housing many, many people in their own homes-and its expensive to feed and care for that many people! Ketchup is like gold there! One gal I talked to has 20 strangers, mostly older or handicapped, in her home-they are sleeping in a tent in their backyard. So yes, it will get to those who need it! 🙂

  31. Brianna

This is just WONDERFUL. Thank you for being such a caring person. The world needs more Collins!

  32. Lisa

God Bless you Collin for all you are doing with the Hip 2 Help tour. I have tears in my eyes after watching this video. You are truly a beautiful person!

  33. footballchic73

Yes, being there in person talking with the victims is life-changing. Just got home from Jopin over a week ago, and just booked our flight home for trip #2 next week-we are bringing supplies and a truck down for someone who needs one and flying home. People, if you EVER get the opportunity to go on a mission to help others like this…GO!!! Thanks Collin, you rock! 🙂 And, for the gal who commented on the heat…we’re from northern MN, and we about DIED in your heat!! Humidity is so thick you can chew it! Prayers for your crew, Collin!

    • footballchic73

Collin, I also wanted to tell you that I understand exactly what you are going through. I don’t know how we survived on such little sleep, extreme heat, many many tears, and the emotional rollercoaster on our trip to Joplin. Seeing miles and miles of total destruction, hearing first hand the stories of survival and loss, of heartache…just know that God has blessed you with this trip, that He will put you exactly where He wants you, and that you are a light shining for all those affected. It will change you forever. We left pieces of our hearts in Joplin; you will leave pieces of yours across many states. Love ya girl, and all you are doing-prayers for your strength!!

  34. Marti Palmieri

Collin— I salute you! Your blog started me back to couponing, something I loved years ago. I am now an “expert” again, and have followed you faithfully….but THIS! This. is. astounding. In this age of mean people, horrific crime, and nothing but bad stuff in the news–you, my dear, are a shining beacon. I am proud to be a follower–you are a true hero. Thank you for all you are doing. I just have no words. And—I hope all the kiddos are feeling better–I am now a grandma, and I SO remember those days!–Marti

  35. Michele Wright

Your site and team is such a BLESSING to ALL!

  36. Phalloeun

Collin, you, your family, everything you guys are doing is amazing! You are touching lives, not just those affected by the storm, but also those here who are reading what you are doing. Amazing!

  37. Heather

Colin, Bryn and all the Hip2Helpers –
This post really moved me. I see all the wonderful things you’ve been doing on this tour and am grateful that there are folks, such as yourselves, that are giving and caring. There was a reason you chose to pull over. A reason you met up with that lovely lady sitting on her porch. And a reason you had all the goods left from the previous event to hopefully lessen the load, help mend the difficulties the woman has faced and show her that others care. How wonderful to see you all giving so much of yourselves. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!!!

  38. jenn pruitt

I am so glad you posted this video…You are an inspiration to me to help others! My prayer for your trip- God Bless The HIP2HELP tour and all of those who are traveling with Collin keep them all safe and healthy. Help Collins mission reach all of those who need the help and Dear Lord please help her story touch others hearts to be a ripple affect of sharing and giving. Lord thank you for all of the people that have donated to help make this mission possible bless their lives and loved ones. In Jesus Name Amen

Thanks for posting this, I needed a reality check. We have been renovating our kitchen, and I have been b*tching and complaining about the past week about being inconvenienced. Really puts some perspective on things.

You and all the readers are amazing, putting this all together. Rock on!

  42. Jean

*tears* once again … you all are so amazing. safe travels!

  43. Laura

You are doing an amazing thing! My area was hit by 4 tornados and we were fortunate enough to not have any damage but several people lost their lives. It makes me feel so fortunate and blessed. Keep up the good work, you are awesome!

  44. Alea

May God continue to bless your tour as you are not only giving so much stuff but so much of yourselves for everyone too 🙂

  45. Emilytwinmom

You have all just left me speechless!!! Wow!!

  46. Gwen

Thank you for this tour to help those victims of the storm. This video was amazing to see. I am from Alabama…..saw the storm on the weather that had hit Tuscaloosa and watched it as it approached Birmingham. Scary to see on tv cannot even image to see in person and then the aftermath. I am grateful for your website that helped me to be able to donate to my fellow Alabamians. I would never been able to do as much if it had not been for couponing. I hope your children and the others will be well soon. God bless your travels.

  47. Sarah

You guys are such a blessing to these people in need. Thank you for posting these videos to keep us updated on the tour and also to inspire others to help those in need. Thank you for also helping many families save their money with your blog. You work very hard. I hope the kiddos get better soon and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

  48. Rebekah

  49. izabis717

    Amazing Video. Just amazing!

  50. julie

    Girl,
It was and is a blessing for all of us who watch. God makes NO mistakes and he knew you’d be driving through Birmingham and you would meet that woman and she would be touched by you. Oh it truly is greater to give than receive isn’t it??
    IN HIM,
    Julie
