* Head to checkout where you’ll need to pay shipping and handling charges and the costs for any lens upgrades

Here’s what a few Hip2Save readers have had to say about this promotion…

I can’t thank you enough for posting this deal! My boyfriend needed glasses for a new job he was starting, however we just couldn’t afford them. He had recently had an eye exam done, but we were needing to save up for the glasses. I was a little hesitant, at first, to spend the $15 for shipping on a pair of glasses that we weren’t sure would work out. After reading the reviews and comments on your page and seeing that the website gave specific measurements and details about the frames, I went ahead with the order. We couldn’t be happier. The glasses fit amazingly and they are working out perfectly! Thank you!

I got my glasses on Wednesday that I ordered last week and I LOVE them!!!! I got the purple Joseph Marcs, and they are great! I plan to recommend Coastal Contacts to all of my friends and family!!!

Giveaway Details/Rules

* Only the first 10,000 people will be able to use the coupon code to snag a FREE pair of glasses including the frame (note: You will need to pay shipping and handling costs of between $10 to $15. Lenses and all lens upgrades including coatings, progressives, bifocals, tints and high index lenses are available at an extra cost with standard lenses starting at $9.95). Keep in mind that if you have received a free pair of glasses from Coastal Contacts before, then you are not eligible for this promotion; limit one free pair per household.

* This promotion is only valid for web orders. If you need help with your web order, call the optical staff at 1-866-333-6888.

* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.

* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.

* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15 and lenses will start at $9.95)

* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $45.

* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. They’ll even pay for the return shipping and send you a return label. Just give them a call at 1-866-333-6888 to make arrangements. Remember to keep your box and all the accessories that came with your order.

I hope this works my cute daughter needs new glasses, but they can be so expensive. I was sad when I missed the offer last time around.
Colin, thanks for your great web site. You have saved my family thousands of dollars. I am so grateful.

It is saying expired! I am ready for next time this comes around!

      • Emmy

I just tried and it said it was expired for me also. I “liked” them on facebook, though, and there is another deal starting tomorrow (SEPT 14) at noon EST. Coupon code FREEGLASSES914. I hope I get a pair!

        • Emmy

Update: I just ordered my glasses and the code WORKED! woo-hoo!

Man I JUST ordered new sunglasses. Maybe I’ll order a spare. Ordering glasses/contacts online is the BIGGEST moneysaver I’ve ever found! I’ve been ordering them online for YEARS! $20 vs $200 you choose. Zennioptical is the site I use but theres tons others. Let me know if you want some websites.

Please be careful when ordering these free glasses.. I got them a few months back and ever since I was wearing them I was having massive migraines I went to the eye dr today to find out they put the wrong lenses in. They had the lenses that were blurry (whatever they are called). Today I tried to contact them waited on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up and I also sent them an email. I doubled check my order and my right prescription is on it.. Im not complaining about free things.. but I walked around for months not knowing why I was suffering massive migraines. So last week I decided to start wearing my old glasses and slowly the migraines are going away…

Sorry you had such trouble. I ordered mine about a year ago. From day one, I like my $30.00 free glasses better than my $300.00 pair! My sister has ordered many from zennioptical with no problem. I will order from them next. There price was very close to coastal contacs free glasses with upgrades. I made sure my ophthalmologist will check my glasses if I need to confirm they are correct.

I too use zenni optical online. My glasses average $50ish from zenni, and $700+ at the optician. I am extremely happy with my zenni glasses, and my optometrist checks the prescription every time we get a new pair. We have a family of five, and four of us are wearing zenni glasses! My twins rock through them, they’re three, and their glasses are $29 each. Can’t beat that!!!

    • Kristi

If you got them a few months ago, why wait so long to contact the company? I like Coastal Contacts. I know that with all of the orders they get they are bound to make mistakes. I will take my glasses to my optometrist office to check the prescription, within the time frame that Coastal Contacts allows you to be completely satisfied with the glasses. Please remember that after all, they are human and mistakes are bound to happen. Sorry you had a bad experience! Hope you were able to get through on the phone and/or get a replacement/refund.

When I received the glasses in the packaging it said it was normal for it to be blurry for the first few days then my eyes got used to it. I didnt put the headaches and the glasses together till I went to my dr for a yearly check up and he told me to go get my eyes checked. So today I brought both of my glasses and they were two different completely prescription.

        • Jennie

Just a word of awareness- the PD is not part of your standard Rx so do not be surprised if you are charged for this measurement to be taken or they are less than thrilled to do it for you. This is a very important component in your glasses being made correctly and if it is incorrect your vision will not be clear. This may have contributed to your problem Louise. You may also find them charging you if you bring them in to be adjusted after you receive them. Please be understanding if this happens as obviously online purchases of eyewear reduce their revenue and the β€œextra’s” that used to be included with your in store purchase can no longer be given for free. πŸ™‚

  4. Bethaney

I have a stronger perscription, so they will only do the ultra thin lenses, which adds $99 to the cost…. bummer!

    • Emilytwinmom

I suggest checking out zenni optical’s website. You can even load your own photo to “try” the glasses on before purchasing! I was so happy with my last pair I posted a picture of them on my blog, and have loved wearing them for over a year now. Almost time for some new fun frames!

  5. Kate G.

Wow! Thanks – this is awesome! I just scored a pair of Kate Spade glasses for $14.45 shipped, and since I went through eBates I’ll get 7% of that back. Super excited! I’m down to one pair of glasses since I can’t seem to keep them in one place, so this is perfect timing! πŸ™‚

  6. Kristi

I ordered a pair of the Kam Dhillon 3014 Twilight. I love this company! They have my Acuvue Oasys Contacts $8 cheaper (per box) than Walmart! I don’t know why anyone would pay retail for glasses/contacts.

  7. Karyn

I’m so glad I got it this time!!!! Super cute glasses for $15!!!

  8. christina

does this coupon code expire today, i really want to score some free glasses, but I can’t get a copy of my perscription from my doctor until tomorrow. Please oh please tell me its still good through tomorrow. πŸ™

  9. nursesarah510

This deal is legit. I don’t wear glasses, but I have ordered them for my brother and friends of mine. NAME BRAND glasses (Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Converse, etc.) for next to nothing. Just pay shipping. πŸ™‚
