i believe this is for those with data plan only because walmart does not have wifi.

I believe Sam’s Club has free WiFi (or at least there was rumblings about it last year), so people without data plans or with iPod Touches can participate there.
I have been able to get on free wifi at several different walmarts in our area–N. Houston.
cool!, will give the kiddos something to do while i shop at sams… we tend to roam around that store.

I just downloaded the app. Under Terms & Conditions it states:
“Check in to win app can be downloaded on Apple iOS devices and Android devices. I just checked the website for the app, and it says “We are hard at work on our Android version too. Stay tuned to find out when it releases.” 🙁

I just downloaded and used my bonus spin at got 50 points!! Enough for a $10 eGift Card. I can’t redeem it yet because you have to check in to a Walmart or Sam’s Club first. This App seems amazing!! But I feel like its too good to be true :/ Has anyone redeemed any rewards yet??
I redeemed points last week, got an email saying they are verifying the info and will get back to me. So far nothing
I received both of my $20 GC this week.. So it took about 7-8days:) it can only be used online but hey it’s money..

Weird. I don’t know why it says it’s compatible with ipad2 & wifi… Just tried to download the app and it said that the app could not be installed because it requires an autofocus camera. Don’t know why they would say that if it doesn’t work? Anyone else with iPad have the same problem?
I agree, it shouldn’t say that if it isn’t. However, the camera is needed to scan the items it tells you to to earn points.

How do you use the e-gift cards? Do we show them our phones at the register or are they emailed? I also won 50 points with the bonus spin so a $10 gift card
You cannot redeem your points until you have checked in at least once. Then it will give you the option to do so. LUCKY though, I only got 5 points 🙁

at first it said i won a $5 e-card, but it kept telling me there was an error and i got my free spin back, as though i never spun..the second time i only got 5 poitns 🙁
Mine is saying there is an error for the $5 ecard as well. I wonder if it is going to reset mine too. this seems a little sketchy if you ask me…

Seems too good to be true, we will see. I got enough for a $50 gift card in half an hour scanning items at Wal-Mart.

I download the app today and on my bonus spin I won a $5 Wal-Mart gift card, but when I went to claim my prize it sorry a error has occuried and I lost the prize! I am not happy with this app!
Yeah this is obviously a scam, they took away every single point I scanned.
I deleted the program and reinstalled it then my points showed up again. Very strange glitch. I placed an order for a $50 Walmart gift card… let’s see if they actually give it to me.
Is it connected in any way to the facebook check in? I don’t want to be announcing where I am at…
Does it tell you how you’ll receive your gift card? I’m wondering what the lag time is..hopefully it’s not too good to be true.
My son is going to Walmart tomorrow to try the app out, if he scans everything he should have enough for a $50 egift card, and I told him he could have it 🙂 For those of you that have used it, how long does it take before you can scan the products again? For example on the checkpoints app, you have to wait 24hrs before the products become available to scan again.
Also, according to the Walmart site, an egift card can be used ONLINE ONLY.

So I went to Walmart last night and scanned a bunch of items. I earned 100 points. I redeemed them for a $20 Walmart egift card. It is in the “verification” stage. Will let you know, once I receive it. It was a fun, easy thing to do!! Thanks for posting Collin 🙂

I downloases it today after seeing this post, got a 10 point bonus spin, and scanned enough items that I have 115 credits! This will get me a $15 iTunes card, a $5 eCard, and the 18×24 poster, but I think I’ll just get the iTunes card and save up for more! Thanks so much Collin; this is great! 🙂

If you go to the app description in the app store it says that they are having an introductory offer and prizes are 10 times easier to win for a couple days. I’m cashing my 150 in now
I scanned just enough for a $20 gift card. I redeemed it and got the email that they were “reviewing it” (October 8th). We’ll see how long it takes (if it happens at all) to actually get my eCard. I’m skeptical, but it only took a few minutes to scan 100 pts worth of stuff. If it pans out, I’ll definitely use this app when I’m at Walmart from now on.

Got my $50 gift card today! I am so excited this really worked! I still have a $20 one out so let’s see if I get that one too.
The app cleary states 250 points for a $5 e-Gift card, the minimum points is 150 for a poster and there are only 4 different products you can scan to win so that is a max of 45 points per visit. Stop leaving comments trying to make your app look great when it is actually a LOT of work for very little reward.
And these comments were clearly left in October of last year! Don’t accuse people of lying just because you can’t figure out that the app has changed its payout structure since the comments were left.
