thanks for the scenarios…you are awesome!

    • Collin

      You are so welcome! 😀

    • mix

Could someone email me the John Frieda b1g1 pdf please? cvalued73@yahoo.com

  3. Carol_R

Thanks for the match ups Collin!

    • Collin

You are so welcome Carol! 😀

  4. Caitlyn

The optic white printable expires 10/8 So it will not be good for the deal on Sunday. FYI

    • Collin

Thanks for letting me know. I just updated the deal scenario. 😀

    • jmartcougar

I was thinking about using this coupon too until I looked at the expiration date lol

  5. la-la

my all you coupon says $0.50 on ajax 34oz of dish liquid.

    • Collin

Thanks! Just updated the deal scenario. 😀

      • Jenn

Doesn’t that mean that we can’t use it–since the dish soap on sale is 16 oz? Just wondering:)

        • Collin

Sorry! I did not catch the fact that the coupon was only valid on the 34 oz. size. I just removed the deal scenario.

          • Jenn

Ok–thanks. I was so tired last night and I wasn’t sure if I was just too out of it and was missing something:)

  6. charmedgirl14

Anybody know how you tell if a coupon, say for $1 off 2 like the Halls, will attach to both products or if you will need a filler when figuring out your entire transaction? I thought someone had once said there was a trick by looking at the bar code number on the coupon, but I don’t remember what it was. Thanks!

    • Michelle

If the code on the coupon ends in 14 it attaches to both coupons and you will need a filler.

      • Michelle

I mean the coupon attaches to both items

    • Stephanie

Actually no you don’t. I’ve done this before. It has nothing to do with coupons attaching. Their policy states product ratio vs coupon ratio must be equal.

      • Shaina

I tried to use a $1/2 coupon on the UP2U gum awhile ago and when I went to check out with my other items, they told me the coupon attaches to both products and that I had to have a filler.

        • Daniel West

Shaina is right… the $1/2, $1/3, $X/4, etc. coupons are counted as one per the number of items they require for purchase. You will have to have a filler item if you use these coupons.

          • Jane

You don’t need a filler item if you figure your sanario and you want to use a RR on that transaction give the $1/2 coupon first this is what I just did today in this order with no problem
            4 granola bars 6pk, used (2) $.60 mq, $3 RR, (1) $.75/2

          • Stephanie

Maybe the store isn’t doing something right. I’ve never needed a filler when purchasing an item with a $1/2 coupon. I can use my $1/2 and then 1 RR and it works out fine. It says manufacturer coupon vs product ratio must be equal. The $1/2 coupon is only 1 coupon and the RR would be the 2nd. Maybe the cashiers at your stores aren’t adjusting the coupons down to the price and then it gets thrown off? That happened to me once and thats why it wouldn’t work.

    • charmedgirl14

Ok – so an update on this situation! I tried it out WITHOUT a filler, and the last coupon (a RR) beeped, saying I had exceeded the amount of items. I had 7 items and 7 coupons – including the $1/2 Halls. So the system was saying I needed a filler. However, the cashier counted the coupons and counted the items and said I should be able to use it. However, he couldn’t bypass it but a manager could. So the manager came over and double checked the items and told the cashier to ring up just a plain $3 MFG manually and it went through fine. So, according to the manager at the store I go to at least, it does go by item to coupon ratio even if it’s a $/multiples as long as the additional coupon(s) isn’t starting to pay for the tax. However, from the comments above, it sounds like other stores may feel differently? I guess it always pays to have a cheap filler in mind just in case.

  7. Kathy

Last week several blogs were saying to print the $3/Triaminic or Theraflu coupon and stack w/Wags $1 coupon from Oct book for a great deal this week and I am not seeing it on any blogs. Do you know what it is? BTW, thanks for all your work you are one of my favs!

    • Suzanne

Save them for the Wags deals starting 10/16

    • Ana

Is this coupon still available to print? Can you post a link?

    • Russ

You won’t be able to use the $3/1 MQ and the $1/1 IVC because the IVC is for the 12-pack, and the best deal is for 2 6-packs.

  8. ketsy

On the John frieda we can use that walgreens coupon you posted to print from facebook. I believe it was product free if you bought the shine or something light that.

    • Suzanne

Yes you can use it. It was for buy 1 serum and get another product free.

      • lmwynn

Is the Frizz-ease one of the participating products for the RR?

  9. Mitch

I love all the competition for the allergy medicines, it helps us consumers save. I however have decided the store brands are the same for a cheaper price.
And I am lucky living where I do, I have a CVS 1 block south, and a Walgreen’s 1 block north! My son loves when we stop in, he listens to the singing birthday cards or trys on all the Halloween costumes, and I get to go in almost every day!
    thanks

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I love reading your posts, Mitch… And visiting your blog too 🙂

  10. Brianna S

For the Halls deal wouldn’t it be a MM? You buy 2 and get $2 back. Then use the 1/2 coupon and you get a $1 MM.

    • laura

you only get 1 rr per transaction if you buy 2 together it will only print 1 rr

  11. jennifer

Not a great week to have $14 in RR’s that expire 🙁

    • azal idris

Try to talk to a manager, i had an expired RR and when i spook to a manager he told me they usually would take them up to 2 days after expatriation. Mine was over a week expired and he still took it. Hope this help….

    • jmartcougar

I agree I have 10 in RR and don’t think I need another razor lol will probably just stock up on tp!

      • Sheila

If you have a Cubs grocery store – they wil take current and expired RR from Walgreens to use on groceries.

        • ASefkow

Where do you live? My CUB foods doesn’t take them 🙁

          • Sheila

Minnesota – RR are treated as a manufacturer’s coupon. Therefore, they will take expired manufacturer coupons as long as it within 3 – 5 months depending on the store.

          • Brianna S

My cub foods doesn’t take expired coupons as far as I know. I know my mom had always used them and then one day they said that she couldn’t use them anymore and so she had to put back all her groceries

          • Michelle

My Cubs in IL takes the RR and the expired coupons (up to 90 days expired). It is in their coupon policy

            • lacie

Where in IL I dont know one around me???? I am in manito closest place is pekin.. Is there one in peoria>?

    • cw

I have $26 n RR that expire! I’m thinking buy something I need that is not often on sale/never has a coupon.

      • darcy

I am so glad that Jewel (grocery store in Chicago) accepts wags RR!

        • laura

are you serious they do in chicago
i live on the south side what jewel do you go to??

          • Mark

            Laura,
I use them all of the time (no restrictions on quantity or amount per purchase) at the following Jewel locations:
            550 NORTH STATE STREET
            Chicago, IL 60610
            370 N Desplaines St
            Chicago, IL 60661
            1224 SOUTH WABASH
            Chicago, IL 60605
I don’t even bother using them at Wag’s, as they are too restrictive. Dominick’s will not take them.
            Mark
p.s. Actually the funniest use I had for them was when I was taking a cab in the suburbs and the driver didn’t want to take a credit card (in spite of the credit card logos on the window). I told her it was either credit card or wags coupons as I didn’t have cash. She didn’t know what they were, but I explained that she could use them at Jewel just like cash and she took them.

            • Pam

              Mark
The Dominick’s in the suburbs still take them…some will only take one per order (good place to use the $10 ones!)

            • Rachael

Lol. New way to save money, pay for your cab ride with wags rr.

          • darcy

On the north side, but every jewel should take them. I learned that from Jillcataldo.com

      • Lucy

Can you stack RR from previous purchases? I have a $7 and $3 RR, can I use both in one transaction? Thanks!

        • cw

Today I got 3 packs of cetaphil bars ($10.99 each) and used 3 $6 RR’s on them, as well as a $5 RR on a box of pantyhose on sale for $6.49 get second one 50% off. I believe your items must be as much as or more than the RR and its one RR coupon per item. The Walgreens RR counts like a manufacturer coupon, its not like Extra Care Bucks at CVS where you can use all of them. At least I’ve never been able to. If anyone has been able to use more than one RR on one item please post… 🙂

          • Michelle

I can use more than 1 RR per item. It matters what the total cost of your order is. Say I have 2 items at $2 ea and I have 3 RR for .50 ea then I buy a .10 laffy taffy to make my item count 3 and my man coup count 3. I would spend $3.10 after RR

        • Steph

You can use them both on the same TRANSACTION but not on the same ITEM. Register Rewards count as a manufacturer’s coupon, and the number of manufacturer’s coupons that you use cannot exceed the number of items you are purchasing. Say you are buying 2 items and your total comes to $10, you would have no trouble using your 2 RR (provided you don’t have other manufacturer’s coupons that you’re using as well). But if you are purchasing a single item, regardless of what your total comes to, you would only be able to use one of your RR. Not sure if that’s the answer you were looking for…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My walmart takes the register rewards. If it is a bad week at walgreens, I spend them at Walmart 🙂

      • Carrie

You can use RRs at Meijer.

        • Emily

          Do all meijers take them?

          • Carrie

From what I’ve read online they do. I use mine there every week.

      • K

        My walmart does too!

      • CHI

My Walmart used to take them, but not anymore because the RR says that it’s only valid at Walgreens (paraphasing, dont have a RR in front of my right now)

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Wags manager confirmed that Wags reimburses any store who submits them, even as a Wags mgr, she said she uses them for groceries at Kroger. They are manufacturer coupons, not Wags coupons.

        • K

It says that but it also says it’s a manufactures coupon and has an address to send it to and so mine said they will take them as long as it has those

      • lacie

WALMART? where at?? and also did you know walmart is changing there coupon policy?? I just talked to corportate.. it was all about the shick 3/1 coupons inside the 12 pack St2 razors. And the overage…

    • michelle

Publix takes RR from Walgreens since they say MF at the top but mine only takes one per day per customer.

  12. azal idris

I spotted a $4 off peelie on some of the blink tears which would make it free after coupon and RR…

    • Collin

Thanks! I just mentioned this with the deal. 😀

    • Lucy

Azal, is the $4.00 peelie a mail in rebate? I ask because I thought you could only use one manufacture coupon per item.

      • Emily

They are $7.99, use the $4 peelie only, and then get back a $4RR making them free.

        • Lucy

          Great! Thanks, Emily!

      • azal idris

NO, it comes attached to the box, so you can use it to get $4 off your purchase.

    • lacie

darn i didnt see any in my store 🙁

  13. Brandy

My pull ups coupon printed for $2/1:)

    • Christina

Mine too! Awesome price for pull ups this week.

    • Collin

Thanks so much! Just updated the deal scenario. 😀

  14. Ashley

Wasn’t there a $3 Energizer printable coup. availavle?

    • amy

      On Facebook

      • Michelle

Yup, I got FREE batteries today!!!

  15. Jennifer

    Collin,

I also found a Manufacturer’s Halls Warm Ups coupon ($0.50/1) in a Walgreens in-store Cold & Flu book. That’ll make it a $.50 MM this week!

    • Michelle

Where do you find that book?

      • Jennifer

I found it where they have the pamphlet holders in the drug aisle. They always have various books- some with coupons , some not- that they put out. Today there was a new one with this coupon!

    • joeywishtoo

Thanks!! 🙂 I picked up that booklet this morning. I flipped through it & didn’t see any coupons. I must’ve totally missed it! I’ll have to go back & get one now.

  16. Mary C.

There was the $0.75/1 Edge shave gel or Skintimates shave gel from coupons.com that make that deal a little better!

  17. Lena S.

Last months I printed out manufacturer’s coupon from Target for orbit 3 pk $1/1. Does anyone see why it can’t be used?

    • mackyjane

It can be used. As long as it says manufacturer’s coupon (which it does) it will work at other stores. I used one a few weeks ago on a similar deal.

    • steffknee

I have those also! They DO say manufacturer coupon…making this deal FREE!!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My coupons like that say “Limit one offer per transaction”. So would that mean you can’t use 2 of these coupons in the same transaction?

  18. yoli

Do you know if the John Frieda RR will print if I use the Free product Walgreens coupons with the purchase of the serum plus MQ’s for each product?

  19. yoli

Do you know if the John Frieda RR will print if I use the Free product Walgreens coupons with the purchase of the serum plus MQ’s for each product?

    • Carrie

      Mine did.

      • sashagrace

Hi there — do you happen to know what the serum was priced at? Thank you!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Serum are 9.99 the rest are 6.99

  20. Taw Chy

Thanks for the scenarios… they really help my shopping experience run smoothly.

    • lacie

      ditto!!!

  21. Jennifer

Off topic, for coffee lovers, today I was in Wags looking at clearance stuff and there was 6 pack packages of Starbucks Via Coffee for $1.99!!! I had Q’s for $2 off. They adjusted for me and I got 4 boxes for free!! I love this stuff. Goes good in my free Brew Over Ice tumbler I just got from the facebook giveaway. Always check your clearance aisles! (I had just paid $5.50 at walmart for a Starbucks Via 6 pack on their clearance rack!! So mad lol)

    • joeywishtoo

      Thanks!! 🙂

    • angeline

      just sent it to you
      enjoy………..

      • Rebecca

Could you please send it to me, too? FtrBabeDoc@aol.com

    • mix

Will you be kind enough to email it to me please???

  22. Andrea

Be on the lookout for a Walgreens health brochure booklet. I’m so sorry I don’t remember the exact name and I only have the coupon pages left. It has a lot of health coupons in it valid all the way through May 2012! Quite a few match up to this week’s ad, good for those that use the products, but not creating any freebies…

    $1 off 2 i-caps
$2 off nature made calcium magnesium zinc
    $1 off citracal
    $1 off one a day
    $5 off Osteo Bi-Flex
    $1 off Move Free
    $1 Nature Made Vitamin D3,
    etc.

Looks like MC’s, they don’t have the 4 digit Walgreens coupon code.

    • Shaina

They are MC it says so in the fine print “MC only good at WAGs”

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i have 2 coupons that i printed online for $1 off a pack of an orbit 3 pack of gum how can i use that with the walgreens coupon and how much would it cost?

    • Suzana

they are 2 for $3 so if you have 2 $1 manufacturer’s coupons and scan the $1/2 from the october coupon booklet, both packs are FREE! 6 packs for freeeee!!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

so you can combine walgreen booklet coupons with internet coupons?

  24. katee

Eclipse, orbit, Juicy Fruit, WinterFresh, Doublemint or Extra gum 3 pk 2/$3

the $1/1 manu. Q from the target website makes this better!

    • Daniel West

Don’t see that Q… where is it?

  25. Ashley

energizer batt. are on sale for2.99 – 3.00 printable coupon from facebook =free … right?

    • K

The $3/1 coupon is for 8pk or larger I believe

  26. Mary

I’m down to my last 2 rolls of tissue hope everyone plays nice on the Cottonelle deal,
wags never has enough on the shelf and I work til Wednesday maybe they’ll restock be then..Happy shopping all!

    • joeywishtoo

Ours was completely out of the purple packs Saturday morning. The manager told me they went through 20 cases of it on Friday. This is the manager that I don’t really care for, so I’m pretty sure he’s got it all in his car until the cat expires on the 30th. 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Isnt funny how some of them take it personally? I have an awesome Wags store manager who is great and actually helps people find deals! My mom has a Rite Aid where the manager has actually refused to sell things to her and he actually told her that he put the products in the back because she had bought too many (it was a normal priced item that was a good deal and she went back weekly to buy a couple, nothing crazy.)

    • Emily

I’m in Michigan and the deal worked on the blue packs too. Limit of 2 bags (so my wags said) so there hopefully will be some left for you.

    • Camille

      done

  27. couponsforme2

On the Pepsi & Dr. Pepper deal it shows the $.55 cp for the Pepsi Max. Can that be used for Pepsi or Dr. Pepper also?

    • joeywishtoo

Is it a manufacturer’s coupon? I’m pretty sure Dr. Pepper & Pepsi are 2 different bottling companies. If I’m not mistaken Dr. Pepper is in with 7-Up, so I don’t think you’d be able to use the Pepsi Max coupon on Dr. Pepper. Just my opinion, though. Anyone else have an idea?

    • Heather W

The coupon specifies Pepsi Max so it can only be used for Pepsi Max.

  28. Michelle

Arrids Website just released a $1/1 Coupon. Stacked with the Wags coupon from today for $.99 Arrid, this would make them FREE 🙂

    • joeywishtoo

      Thank you!! 🙂

  29. joeywishtoo

The Covergirl $8/2 coupon works on the mascara. I got a couple of the new naturelux (?). Crud! I can’t remember the name off the top of my head. Got the 2 for $3.50 each, then I used my $5 off Curel RR, so got them for $1.00 each!! I was a happy camper! Been going to try this one out, too.

    • charmedgirl14

I was wondering what they consider a face product. I was thinking more facial skin care, but your eyes are on your face 🙂 Thanks for the heads up!

    • Anonymous

Just because it “works” doesn’t mean it’s right.

  30. joeywishtoo

Our Walgreen’s has the Tweezerman tweezers 10% off, too. I didn’t even know they had them! Got a couple of the travel size ones. $11.49 each, I think. Anyway, if you have RR’s you don’t know what to do with, this might make a good buy. Pair it up with the Artscow cosmetic bag deal for a holiday gift idea. 🙂

  31. Ellie

Went to Wags this morning to get pullups and toliet paper. No toliet paper left and no RR on pullups only the stupid 5x points. Boo.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Could someone please email me a copy of the PDF John Frieda coupon to trahalbre@aol.com.Thanks!

  32. Molly

Anyone else have $1/1 Cottenelle coupons in the 9/11 SS instead of $.75/1? I was supprised to see that was what mine were! I was also surprised to see that my walgreens still had a bunch of the purple packs left. 🙂

  33. mndalton08

Hey guys just wanted to share what I was able to get with my Cottonelle registrar rewards. I bought 8 packs or cottonelle and received 12 dollars in registrar rewards. I then bought 2 beauty tools, 3 bags of halls apple cider, 6 arm and hammer deodorant, 2 box’s of Trojan to Go (on clearance for 3.79 and their site has a $1 coupon for them), and I only paid $3.27 with 3 $1 RR from the halls leftover. 🙂 I’m not the best at walgreens deals but I felt like I did well this go around.

    • Emily

No wonder people are complaining the shelves are cleared of toilet paper…….

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

MY walgreens was very stocked up they had two whole sections full of the purple packs with more on back order other wise I would not have bought so many.

    • laura

that sounds good im planing in stocking up too i bought two the last sale and were gone soo fast

  34. Caitlynn

Had $27 in register rewards to use today! Now it wasn’t that great of a week anyways. However it was even worse of a week when my walgreens wasn’t giving any register rewards today due to computer problems! Everything had to be put in manually and oh my what a mess! I stocked up on walgreens brand cold items that were BOGO. Boo! 🙁

  35. Nancy

Does anyone know if those Biore products are going to get cheaper before the coupon expires at the end of the year? Honestly they are pretty pricey whenever I buy them and I can’t remember seeing them go under $5. $1.49 sounds like a really good deal to me, but I’ve never really paid attention to the price of that product before. Should I hold off because maybe some better deal might happen before the end of the year? Thank you in advance!

  36. Kay

The Walgreens by me had some John Freida precision foam color on clearance for $3, and with the $2 coupon in the paper, i got two for only $1 each! They also had some L’Oreal ones for $4, and there was a $1 coupon on the L’Oreal website good for any product.

  37. Mike

Has anyone mentioned that Cottonelle has various sheets per roll in their packaging? The Ultra 12 packs at Wags have 113 sheets per roll. The Ultra 12 (rectangular) packs I have purchased at other stores have 176 sheets per roll (55% more). The 18 packs currently at CVS have 136 sheets per roll. Overall, this is still a good deal with the RR, but you still have to pay attention…

  38. Darcy

I tried the garnier deal today, but i didn’t read it close enough, so i didn’t purchase enough to get the RR and the cottonelle rr didn’t print, would i be able to take these back and get refunded even though i used coupons and RR to pay for most of it? I still paid $14 out of pocket which is way to much for our tight budget, esp. since i didn’t get any rr back. Also if i can return them would i have to take them back to the same walgreens or can i take them back to a store that is closer to me?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i have return stuff before and they give you the amountyou paid out of pocket plus the coupons because you will not get the coupons back.
yes i have bought in 1 walgreens and returned in onother as long as you have your receipt hope this helps 🙂

      • Darcy

        thanks for the info!

  39. Cortney vw

Is the conttonelle tp deal still working? Did it 2 days ago and it worked. Just did it again and the rewards didn’t print? I purchased the purple packs too? What do I do??? Help!

  40. Shannon

This deal is so not working at my WGs in GA. I left the store yesterday with nothing, after walking in with a long list of things to buy. Apparently the MQs state only one coupon per transaction, so my cashier said no way. Oh well, I have a refund check from Costco and the sale starts Wednesday. I will just stock up on TP that way:) Glad to hear that it is working for others.

  41. mix

I am looking for someone to please email me the b1g1 john frieda pdf coupon. cvalued73@yahoo.com Would really really appreciate it!!!!

Went to Walgreens today. Spent $29, “saved” $44. Did the John Frieda deal with 3 $2 coupons, found a 40-load Gain detergent marked down to $5 and used a $2 coupon on it, bought 2 Softsoap body washes, bought Tropicana juices for $2 each, got a really good deal on Rimmel products I love (the BOGO50% plus a $1 coupon plus a $3 coupon), etc.

So it’s a good trip — for me, at least — and I know that, but it does raise a few questions for me:

    a) how the heck does anybody do it without coupons? Seriously, it is hard for me to believe that there are people out there who wouldn’t blink an eye at spending more than $70 on what I bought. No wonder we are having a consumer confidence problem. I wouldn’t want to buy things at that price either!

    b) what on Earth is the markup on these items? How can one drugstore mascara possibly be worth $10? (And don’t get me started on the injustice of having to pay for tampons and pads…HARRUMPH…haha!).

These are the thoughts I was left with today. 🙂 Just so glad to have found this in the last few years (I’m 26). Love all the inspiration we find on this site and in the comments!

Keep your eyes out when you go into the store…. I was super shocked to see the Cottonelle at my store on sale for $4!!! Good thing I had my daughter along with me so we could really score=) I got 48 rolls of toilet paper for $3 after RR. I also scored really well on the Cover Girl make up… $24 worth of blush, powder , eyeliner and concealer for $2.

Has anyone else had any problems with the General Mills walgreens coupon. I went today, purchased 4 boxes of cereal (2 reese puffs & 2 cookie crips) the cashier said I could not use it because it’s not the one pictured. The coupon states: $1 off with the purchase or 2 general mills cereal 10.9 to 18oz or Natures valley granola bars 6 pack.
