Target is offering up a pretty sweet Nivea gift card deal this week – buy 3 select Nivea products AND get back a $5 Target gift card, valid through 5/12. Even better, the Nivea Creme tins priced at $0.87 ARE included in the gift card deal… but note that in order to score a gift card, the participating Nivea items you purchase must as least total the amount of the gift card you are earning (before coupons), which in this case means $5 or more.

So keep in mind that if you just purchase 3 Nivea tins, you will not get the gift card. However, check out this scenario…

Buy 2 Nivea Creme Tins $0.87 each
Buy 1 Nivea 13.5 oz Lotion $4.22
Total = $5.96
Use the $2/1 Nivea Hand or Body Lotion coupon found in the 4/29 RP
Pay $3.96
Get back a $5 Target gift card
Final cost all FREE + a $1.04 moneymaker!
* And this deal will be even sweeter if you have the $1/1 Nivea Skin Care Target store coupon found in the FREE Beauty Bag offer that was previously available!

OR if you have no Nivea coupons, check out this scenario….

Buy 1 Nivea Creme Tin $0.87
Buy 2 Nivea Lip Balms $2.24 each
Total = $5.35
Get back a $5 Target gift card
Final cost only $0.35 for all 3 items!

(Thanks, Totally Target!)

Stay tuned for the rest of the Target deals this evening…

Apparently the second you or another site posted this deal someone here ran to my local Target and tried to buy the entire display case of the tins to get multiple gift cards. My bff was in line behind her when the Manager got upset and told her the tins are not included in the gift card deal.

Maybe it didn’t work here because she literally took the case boxes off the shelf instead of just taking a few tins.

I did not need hubby. I had to go to city hall and stopped by target. I used 2 men’s Nivea 2.00 coupons from rite aide oop .82 cents. I did do 2 transactions

  3. Tina

Fail for me! These are priced around $5.50 for the lotion at my store.

@ my Target(s) they don’t have the tins tagged as being part of the $5 GC offer, nor do they have them marked as $.87, but they all ring up as $.87 and they worked with the $4.22 lotion. I tried 3 tins alone and it didn’t prompt for a gift card, so I guess it depends on your location.

@ my Target(s) (CO), none of the tins are marked as $.87, but they all ring up that way. I tried the two tins plus the $4.22 lotion (w/ $2 off coupon) and it worked. I tried it with 3 tins and it did not prompt for a GC, so I guess it depends on the location. Either way, great deal!

The tins are not ringing up as part of the promotion here in Austin, TX

      not here in Chicago either

I went to target last night and wanted to look for the lip glosses, but they were all sold out. All of the cheaper lotions that would have made for a good deal were sold out too. But! Just as I was ready to leave the aisle, I found a $2/1 mens nivea lotion that someone left there and I was able to get 1 mens lotion for 5.39 and 2 of the small nivea tins for .87. After the gift card it was .15 plus tax. This person completely made my day, it was just such a thoughtful thing to do for someone they didn’t even know!

No go on the Nivea tins at my Target.. They wasn’t a sign posted but tried any way. Did get lotion and 2 lip balms though that prompted the gift card. So still a great deal.

I learned my lesson with Target a few weeks ago (Food Saver coupon snafu) and drug my husband along to try this Nivea deal. He can get anything done without threats, tears (theirs) or FBI involvement. I grabbed my two tins, one bottle AND THE RED AND WHITE SIGN FROM THE SHELF because I just somehow knew this was going to be a problem. Yes, I ripped it right off the shelf. I handed him the lotion, the sign and the coupons and pushed him in line at lane 7. I grabbed the latest People (the one with Khloe Kardashian on the cover), bolted to a distant part of the store and flipped through the magazine while sipping my coffee and waiting for the outcome. Good or bad. Let’s just say, I was engrossed in that magazine for a good 10 minutes when my husband finally came back to me with our Nivea purchase AND two $3.00 complimentary “sorry for the crap we just put you through” Target paper gift cards. I didn’t even WANT to know what happened. But he did manage to tell me that originally, the Nivea purchase did not produce a gift card (how did I know this?). Three managers, two registers and lots of head-scratching (not his – theirs) later, we were outta there. One dollar ahead of the game. Oh, and he said they all sprung into action and were VERY nice to him. -_-

hee hee . . . I have used my husband to do a deal at Target too!! I am too sensitive sometimes to push back, unless I know I am right 110% and I still get red faced and upset for hours after I leave. SO I commend your creative couponing and got a good laugh from reading your post!

      • Rebeca

So funny! I love my hubby and he is a very good man, but I cant picture him going along with me for something like this! He brags about my savings to all his friends and co-workers, but he wouldnt use a coupon unless I promise him that it wont beep! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yesterday the tins and lotion produce a gift card. I try the same deal today the tins did not work at all.

  12. Jamie

Nivea tins did NOT work on the deal here in Northern NJ.

  13. shannon

Nivea tins weren’t included but I got 3 1.7 oz lotions w/ 3 $2 coupons so I made .23 on the deal. Also got the Gold Bond powder free (after the cashier relucantly did it since it was only $.97 and the coupon was $1)

I was bummed that the tins did not work in Durham NC. I will go back tomorow and see if I can get the lip gloss combo

I went Sunday and Monday did the deals with the two tins and one lotion recieved a $5 gift card. I went again today since I found one more coupon and no luck. I did the same transaction but did not recieve a gift card.I am assuming that Target removed the tins from the promo ( Houston,Tx)

    • Crystal

Same here! I did the deal a few times on Monday using the tins and got my gift cards no problems. Just went tonight and the signs were removed for the tins being included in the promotion. Also on Monday they were priced $0.87 but today they were $0.97. Tried to see if it would work anyway and of course it didn’t. Manager said there were no signs (umm yeah you took them down) and the ad doesn’t specify it being included. Waste of time. Boo
