Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. …And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.

Also, as most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy. You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.

    Thanks Collin! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! 🙂

  2. anna

I have some $1 off coupons for the sb refreshers but they aren’t being found in my area. other wise it would be real nice to hop over to wg and try some for free. I wonder why its a regional item? anyone have an answer to this? a vender?

    • Chelsea

I think some stores just haven’t gotten it yet. I’m in Oklahoma and we just got the Starbucks refreshers in this week. Hopefully they get to your area soon and hopefully I can grab some before my Wags go outta stock!!

    • mel

Starbucks is a Pepsi product and according to the manager at the store I shop Pepsi is having distribution problems right now. I checked 4 different stores to do the Pepsi deal this week for my dad (buy 4 12pks, Get 1 Free). I ran into a relative that stocks (but not Walgreens) and he said there is internal employee theft company-wide and its screwing the stores inventory!

      • Sarah Supercouper

Thanks for the info! I haven’t seen one yet (not at CVS, walgreens, rite aid, walmart, giant OR harris-teeter!). I’m glad to know it’s a corporate issue, and that they will, someday, make it to virginia. It honestly looks like a product I’d love.

        • Kristy B.

saw some at Walgreens in Richmond, Va. area there were only a few left though.

          • ash

I was trying to get them at Publix the other day … They didn’t carry them, but had them in the vending machine out front, lol!… Good thing though, because now I get RRs!!

            • Anna

My store had three last week. They were hanging on the door of the pop cooler. However, not sure who has tried them, my hubby and I agree, they are not very good! If you find them, notice there is a deposit on the cans, I almost threw mine in recycling!

    • Annette

I’m in SW Michigan and have found it both of the stores that I’ve gone to but it isn’t in with the rest of the cold drinks…it’s been in the little Pepsi cooler near the register. Good luck

    • rose

They’ve had them at Safeway in San Fran for a couple of weeks. The following stores are owned by Safeway so you might want to look there: Dominick’s, Genuardi’s, Pak’n Save, Randall’s, Simon David, Tom Thumb, Vons, Pavilions.
      I haven’t checked Walgreen’s yet.
Tried the raspberry and strawberry ones. Thought they were pretty good.

  3. Alexandra

Thank You Soooooo Much! I can not express how much money you have helped me save!

  4. Shea

Thanks for the match ups, Collin! You rock my socks! 🙂

  5. valerie w

The starbuck refreshers is not on sale in NYC.

    • kate

i know. i was hoping to try it out but could not find it in my NY ad, so i guess it’s regional.

      • valerie w

Two weeks ago pathmark had it on sale and thats where i bought it with the 2 coupons I had.

  6. T

The Charcoal coupon says you have to buy BOTH lighter fluid AND charcoal to get the free dressing FYI!!

  7. Carol_R

    Thanks for the match-ups Collin!

  8. Rebecca

There’s a $3/6 Dial coupon and if their $2.79 a piece for 3 you get 3 free they should be .89 cents each.. you should be able to get it at coupons.com. I actually saw it on Living RIch With Coupons.

  9. jay

If you go to http://www.freesamplepurex.com and sign up to receive a free sample of the ultrapacks they give you the option to print a $1 coupon instead of getting the sample. I was able to print two.

    • thelostpond

I got those too, plus I got $1 coupons with my samples from walmart I believe, last week.

  10. gaynycdad

Awesome! There was a Starbucks refresher coupon on the coffee I bought at Target a few weeks back when I was stacking those coupons and getting the coffee half price!
    Yay!
    thanks,
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  11. Emma

The Softsoap body wash coupon that you mentioned for CVS and Walgreens deals are not on the 4/15 SS, there’s none

  12. onepoormomma

Yay! I just came home with $5 in RR today and am looking forward to coupling them with free toothpaste, chocolates and other deals:?) I heart Hip2Save!

  13. wags ba

guys can i just say please always try to check out in cosmetics im a beauty advisor and it is so hard getting people to check out over there it literally kills them to do it that dept is based on perctabge of custumers and item rung compared to the whole store and we have to have anywhere between 35 to 45 % everyday and it hard to meet when people take items from beauty hair skin baby ect to the front or pharmacy so always try to check out at beauty counter it is a faster checkout no wait in line most of the time we have acess to coupons on alot of beauty products you may not have we are usually friendlier because we are actually trying to get the custumers over there and not like the front where they go automatcally plus we usually dont mind mutliple transactions for your rr items at least i dont and most of us are more coupon friedndly and know our coupon policy

    • janiceg531

      Sure thing!

    • amberwaves

wow thanks!! I know at my local wags as soon as I walk in the door the cosmetics lady always says she’ll ring me up as soon as I’m ready- and thats before I have even put anything in my basket =) Plus she’s super nice and is always accomidating when I am using coupons or doing mulitple transactions.

      • wags ba

yep that is how i am it is in r job descrption we have to greet everyone offer assistance check people out and be helpful they call us the gift advisor for holidays in corprate lingo i think most of us are alot nicer then the front or photo clerks

        • wags ba

also to add on if u find u love ur beauty clerk and wanna help her make some extra dough we get commision on alot of items in makeup skincare hair care if they ring it up in cos so def always ring up anything in dental makeup footcare skincare hair baby and fem in cos that the stuff we may get extra money on and that what brings the % up high

    • shannyn

I absolutely love my BA’s. I love checking out in the cosmetic area b/c they are very coupon friendly and never have given me a bad check-out experience.

    • Bev

I wasn’t aware of that so I will absolutely start doing that every time I’m in Walgreens now.

    • wags ba

thanks guys for your nice comments it just gets stressfull and irrating being a ba sometimes cuz we try so hard to help custumers be friendly and get them to check out with us and they blow us off then r bosses yell at us cause we aint gettin the numbers

    • Edie

The beauty adviser at my store is incredibly nice, but I stopped checking out at cosmetics when I have multiple transactions, because she told me that they only do 1 RR a week now. This was when I was trying to get 2 boxes of kotex tampons. :/ She’s the only one that enforces it, so I don’t go to her anymore. Sucks, because she’s actually competent with coupons as well.

      • stephanie

i love my beauty adviser at both of my walgreens store they are both sooo nice and let me do mulitple transactions sometimes i even forget about coupons when i buy stuff and she has them on the side just incase somebody needs them 🙂

      • wags ba

ive never heard of such a thing must be certain stores our store dosent do that and it not a corprate mandate so hmm

      • amanda

I was told tonite at a springfield, mo store that there will be no more than 2 transactions for the same RR. I said i jus purchased 8 starbucks refreshers in lebanon, mo today with no problem, can you show me in the ad where it says i cannot purchase more than 2 in separate tranactions. He called mgmnt and they told him to ring them up, all 12, even separate trans. My store runs out of good deals fast so i thought i’d try another store but i think from now on i will just go to walgreens at about 2am on sun.

        • wags ba

hmm i wonder why u were told that it is not corpartae policy it seems like cahier was talkin out his bum and making stuff up if mgr told him diff id say stick with the stores u have best employees and experince in and leave others in the dust i dont even shop at the wags i live close to cause the workers r rude and im a wags employee i always shop at the store i work at even if i have to drive the extra 5 mins

    • Carol W

Where is the “Like” button? because from now on whenever I can I will make a point of ringing up with my store’s BA. She’s cute as a button, super sweet, and I didn’t know there was so much corporate incentive on the back end tied to her job description. Only problem is I am often an 8AM shopper and there is no BA on the floor then. But when I shop Saturdays I’ll go to her from now on.

    • cdawnt

I love checking out there but it seems no one is ever around when i go over there to check out. If I do see someone they look too busy stocking so I’ve never felt that I should bother them. After reading this I shouldn’t feel bad interrupting them to check me out, thank you!

      • wags ba

it depends on the stores and the hours i either work 9to5 10to6 or 11to7 most stores the ba will be there at between 9 and 10 it just dpends u can always ask wat days and time your fav ba works and if u cant find her chances are she is in one of the first 3 isles that is our dept makeup shave needs bath skin care baby fem dental and foot care

    • amanda

hey yes i have an awesome relationship with this one lady i have three little boys and my four year old calls her his girfriend it is super cute she sees us coming and buys them a candy bar i always check out with her she told me about this!!!!! also wanted to ask were you are from i seen you said aint im from tn and always tyoe aint then go back and fix it because i think people will make fun of the way i talk lol i love the way i talk and think it is cute!!!!!!

      • wags ba

im from cincinnati so we kinda close state wise

    • Trinity

Sometimes I check out in the front because the BA looks busy stocking away items! I feel bad for bothering her to check me out. I almost always try to check out with BA because it’s just easier for me. And if there is a problem, I’m not usually holding up a line. Does it bother you if you are putting things on the shelf and a customer asks you to check them out?

      • wags ba

nop not at all it my job to ring people out and help people the items will still be there when u leave so no biggie the custumers are more imporant

    • Steph

Good to know! I have never have always had great experiences checking out in cosmetics no matter which store I’m shopping at. I do tend to want to go through the regular line just because I figure cosmetics is just for when the regular line gets crazy long, but I’ll go through cosmetics for sure now!

    • Walgreens Manager American Canyon CA

I agree with wags ba! My Senior beauty adviser is super nice and is really great with coupons, plus she has a whole bunch of extra MFR coupons as well. The only caveat with this is that she is usually there from 10-6:30, like wags ba mentioned.
I just want to mention I have been reading through this forum and seeing a lot of bad things said about Walgreens employees. I just wanted to apologize on behalf of Walgreens and hope you all have better experiences with us 🙂

      • wags ba

i agree wit u not all wags workers r horrible but i feel bad when i u guys have awful expernices it give the company a bad rep and leaves a bad taste in the mouth then people stay away from wags if u have problems call corprate do the surveys on the bottom of ur recipets if you are gettin great service give all 9s make a nice comment about the perosn who helped u or was friedndly and same if bad complain it helps let store mgr deal wit bad workers and also praise the good workers also try diff wags some stores just stink most dont it trial and error

    • Melissa

I always prefer to check out at the cosmetics counter. If I am using coupons it is so much easier and I have dealt with some absolutely delightful ladies working there. But the clerks are not always behind the counter. Some are stocking or doing other tasks nearby. Some act annoyed to be asked if I can check out at the cosmetic counter. So I often end up checking out at the front of the store.

      • wags ba

thats why u can always tell if the ba nice or not the key signs to look for are are they offerin u assiantce if they see u in there dept are they gretting u are they smiling are they talkin in a nice tone if they dont do any of these things dont bother wit them they not doing there job and obiously dont want to be there or want the money they could be gettin

        • CoolSue

Another bad day at Wags today! Front cashier wouldn’t allow the $1 Reach floss coupon on 99cent sale cos it was more than the price and refused my Depend printable coupon stating that they had a meeting and they don’t take it anymore as they r not real coupons!! Frustrated and called corporate who said that they will resolve the issue but it pretty much never is taken care of!!:(

          • wags ba

wow sorry for ur bad day everything they said is wrong we can adjust the coupon to 99 cents and we take net coupons as long as they have the website or coupons.com or redplum ect some people try to pass photo copied ones off as net those we dont take maybe try a diff register or clerk or a diff store

  14. Porsche' Robey

anybody know a round about price of the regular dail soap 8 count pack?

  15. Karen

I have 14 coupons for Voskos yougart and it is not availble where I live if you want them please e-mail me kwangsness@wctatel.net I will sent coupons to you. Please check to see if available in your area first. First one to e-mail me gets them all:-)

    • Jen

Are these the granola ones? I couldn’t find them for the longest time either because they look identical to the regular ones. Check your stores again and look at each one on the shelf. I finally discovered them at Ralphs.

    • shalini

if no one has emailed you, I would like them. Please let me know. TIA

      • shalini

        just emailed you.

  16. Monica

Does anyone know if the MidNite and NatuRelief products are made by the same manufacturer? I just want to make sure I can buy both in 1 transaction and get 2 of the 4.99 Register Rewards. Thx!

    • Jo-Ann

Yes, same manufacturer, Concepts in Health. You can google both products.

  17. Kasia

Walmart has a Dial soap for $1.27 with the coupon 3 off of 6 makes each hand soap for a $0.77.

  18. shalini

the gain dish liq is 1.99 in my walgreens.

  19. ana

does anyone know where all mighty pacs 24 ct is on sale..?

  20. Toni

Does anyone know if you can by several of the Starbucks Refreshers in the same transaction and get RR for each item or do you have to do seperate transactions?

    • Jenny

Separate or it won’t print a new RR.

    • Serena

Must be separate transactions to get RR.

  21. Scarlet

These are Impossible to find in all the Walgreens i go to, I’ve just given up.
I did buy two cases of 12 I had them get from the back at CVS though, so that’s not bad, but I would have liked to get the .99 back from Walgs, I even have $1.00 coupons too, they came from a peelie in Target. Oh well lol

  22. john

Kind of confused. If the Werthers and Lifesavers are 3/$4…and you use a $1/2 coupon wouldn’t the final cost be $1 and not $.83 per bag?

    • john

Figured it out. It doesn’t say it in the deal, but if you buy 6 and used 3 $1/2 Q’s it comes out to $.83 per item.

  23. Debbie

    Just back from WGS run.
If u dont see the Sbucks-ask! Girl went in back & brought out several cases.
I got all my little MM’ers! Glad I held onto a bunch of my Q’s.
DO EACH SEP TRANS-don’t forget! Try cosmetics-less busy.

    • John

Yeah, I asked my 2 WG’s in Northern VA and they said they were supposed to get them in last week but Pepsi was having issues with deliveries. Sounds like the problem from the previous post.

  24. Cody

Just got back from my usual Sunday morning Walgreens trip and I had something weird happen to me today. I was told by the cashier that Register Rewards now need to be used first ahead of other coupons. It didn’t affect my purchase at all, but I was wondering if this is happening everywhere?

    • MERSIHA

I work at Walgreens and that is nonsense you can use them in what ever order you want and if they give you hard time call for manager

    • Samantha

I went in to get 3 Starbucks Refreshers, and I was told by the cashier that they were only allowed to give out one RR per product per day per person because of people clearing the shelves. So I asked if my husband could do one of the transactions so I could get 2 of the 3 RR, and she said no since she knew we were together. I thought that was ridiculous. I think if there is a problem with people clearing the shelves, then the cashier should have the discretion to tell a customer they can’t clear the shelves…but 3 of one item is nothing. I was not very happy. Is this a new thing in their policy, or can every Walgreens have their own set of rules without getting corporate involved?

      • CoolSue

No they cannot make their own policies. I called corporate today bout the weirdness in my store today and asked them abt their self made coupon policies and they said they only have 1 national coupon policy!

  25. Dawn

I have a coupon for $0.50 off 2 Dove bars, the Dove bars are 2/$1 so does Wags count that 1 coupon as TWO coupons since it came off 2 items or is it counted as 1 coupon and 2 items? I’m trying to use some RR today and don’t want to add any extra filler items if I don’t need to.

    • Rachael

Normally the coupon is coded so that it attaches to both items. Don’t you just hate the filler items that you have to buy? It is such a pain sometimes. Wish my store carried the taffy for a dime or cheap pencils.

      • Dawn

Thank you Rachael! Yes, I don’t like having to buy something I didn’t really need, it kind of defeats the purpose of doing all these complicated scenarios to save a buck if you have to turn around and add stuff. I was thinking the Nice gelatin 4/$1 would be okay and I would get around to using them.

    • John

Yes, the registers now attach all items under the coupon to it.

  26. Jennifer

There is also a $4 Schick Hydro Silk Razor OR Refill coupon in my 5/13 SS (Chicago paper) in addition to another $4 Schick Hydro Silk Refill – will make the razor only $1.99 this week after coupon and RR if you have this coupon!

  27. Chelsey L.

Has anyone seen any Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief coupons? On the Wags app there is a $2 off 1 q, but I was hoping to find one more to make the deal even better!

  28. Jennifer

Also – I believe the $1/1 Optic White coupon from the 4/15 SS expired on 5/5 (at least mine did)

  29. Crystal

Went to Wallgreen’s this morning and not only did they not have the Starbuck’s Refreshers, I don’t get how the Kids Aquafresh is free. They were out anyway, but the sign listed it at full price and there is nothing in this weeks ad about it.

    • John

In my store the kids aquafresh was labeled at .99 but thr training toothpaste was full price, even when I price checked it.

    • Marlena

at my store in Baton Rouge, LA the kids aquafresh was full priced too. and nothing in the add about it being 0.99$ ;/

  30. Lisa

I haven’t shopped at Walgreens lately but I noticed on the Register Rewards it now says “Off Your Next In Store Purchase *Over* the Value of Coupon”. What does that mean?

    • Steph

My guess is that means you need to spend more than what the Register Rewards is for. So if it’s a $4 RR, you need to spend $4.01?

  31. Thelma

My trip to walgreens this week was really good, I got $132.00 worth of product, spent $20.00 out of pocket, and received $23.00 RR. Thank you Collin…luv this site!!

  32. Jenn

I had trouble with the kid’s AquaFresh today. It is .99, but I have the $1 off coupon from the May All You mag. The register would not take the coupon because it was .01 more than the purchase price. Any way around this? I imagine the Starbucks Refresher will do the same too because that is .99 and I have another $1 off coupon for that.

    • john

Yes, you POLITELY instruct the cashier to manually reduce the value of the coupon to $.99. Read their coupon policy, it is in there.

      • Jenn

Thanks, that is what I suggested and he even brought the manager over and he said he couldn’t do that. This wasn’t my “usual” Walgreens, so I will try that at the one I frequent the most often and will bring the policy with me.

        • MERSIHA

well both of them do not know what they are doing you can adjust coupons down just write the new value on them and that is all

  33. Charity

Gain dish liquid not on sale in Houston TX

  34. Stephanie

    Thanks Collin!
I bought $72 worth of stuff for $6.29, and got $4 RR back! The almonds are delicious, but the Starbucks Refreshers are not very good. My brother says the Strawberry Lemonade one tastes like beer, but he collects aluminum cans, so it still helps, and it made us money anyway! Plus, the senior center will love the free Ultra Mini Meters I got for donation! I’ve saved A TON of money since I began visiting this site! Among other things, my mother got a (FREE for me) Foodsaver Handheld System to separate her meat with, along with extra bags (B1G1 + 2 $2 OFF MQs!)

    I love Hip2Save!

  35. Kim

Can’t find the RightGuard deodorant coupone??? What zip code should I try?

    • Kim

looked at multiple zip codes and sites…..can’t find it 🙁

  36. lisa

This is kinda off-topic, but are the Refreshers safe for kids to drink? They are still energy drinks.

    • Sarah

They have green coffee in it……I personally don’t give my kids any kind of coffee because of the amount of caffine (or caffinated sodas), but that’s just me………

  37. Teresa

The RP here doesn’t have any of the coupons that you had matched for this week at all! 🙁

  38. Cortney Van Weerdhuizen

I have a question for all the Walgreens shoppers out there. Long story short…can I return something within my 30 day period from purchase if they were used as my filler items? I still paid $ 17.70 out of pocket…So its not like I will “make” money. Does that make sense. I guess she was an assistant manager, bc she said she wanted me to come back when a manager was there and she refused to do my return. They were just 0.99 nail polishes (4 total) that I dont need. What should I do? What is there policy? Have any of you dealt with this before? I think I might try to start shopping at Rite-Aid. I still love CVS!

  39. Ami

I can’t seem to find the $3/1 Maybeline coupon from 3/25 RP – was this a regional coupon?

    • Sarah

It may be because I didn’t see one in the RP that my mom gave me from Florida, but I did see one in the RP that my mother-in-law gave me from Oklahoma (we don’t get RP where I live)………

  40. Kristina Heinzen

Please Help! My smart source doesn’t have any of the coupons listed…is there a zip code I should be using to find these deals? THanks!!

  41. Amanda

At my Walgreens Pantene was 4.99 b1g1 50%, plus coupon for B1g1 free, so 2 for 2.50, I didnt see this deal posted and the shelves were fully stocked, no one seemed to know about it!

  42. wags ba

hey guys to let u know there is alot of clerance orange stickers in the beauty dept on some revlon almay loreal maybelline and covergirl products as well as hair stuff like pantene herbal essences head and shoulders and skin care some aveeno roc jergens loreal ytc burts bees gold bond porcelina i think that may be it alot came down this week and some a few weeks ago

    • Trinity

      Thank you!!!

  43. dealgirl

Does anyone have any ideas for cheap fillers this week? We don’t eat jello – so I’m looking for something besides that. Thanks!
