I headed on over to Walgreens today to pick up my 25 FREE photo prints and ended up snagging the following deals (which reminded me why I LOVE couponing so much! 🙂 )…
4 6oz cans of Blue Diamond Almonds on sale buy 1 at $3.79 get 1 FREE
Used 4 $1/1 coupons found in the 1/29 SS
Final cost only $3.58 for all 4 cans!
4 single serve bags of Easter M&M’s, 1.74oz
On sale for just $0.59 each
Used 2 $1/2 coupons found in the 3/18 RP
Final cost only $0.09 each – $0.36 total!
So for just $4.54 (which includes tax) out of pocket, I snagged 4 Easter basket goodies, 4 cans of almonds (which are usually on the expensive side) and 25 4×6 photo prints! Love it!

well i got my 25 pics as well and got the head and shoulders 14.2 0z for 2.32 i used the bogo coupon so got 2 for that price…i dont know if thats a good price but thats the lowest i have ever gotten it so excited ihave a few more and will be going back tomorrow….
I have a math problem with Walgreens this week. My walgreens offers a 15% military discount on Tuesdays. I went in there and bought 4 boxes of cereal (2/$5) and one Jello Pudding (0.59 with in ad coupon). My before coupon and tax total should have been $9 (with the 15% discount) instead of $10.59. My total was $8.98. Now, typically I wouldn’t have noticed but I had a $4/4 cereal coupon and a $5 RR. So since the total was less than $9 I had to purchase another item. I was UNHAPPY. Is anyone else’s calculator like Walgreens?? I can’t figure out why this was the case. I did the numbers over and over and it just doesn’t make sense. I was very excited about the 25 free prints though!! Thank you for all you do!
I just realized when I bought my cereal yesterday (4) boxes, they didn’t give me my 2/$2 RR, so they shorted me $4. I am so mad!!! Why didn’t I notice that! Was there a reason I didn’t get them? I had a rather large order, didn’t use ANY RR to pay for any of it. I bought 4 boxes of cereal and used my $4/4 coupon too. I should’ve got 4 boxes of cereal for $2 or 50 cents each since they were 2/$3 after RR. This may be one time that I may send in my receipt to Wags Corp and try and get my RR. 🙁
Can’t you go back and show them? That way they can show you why you didn’t get them & you will know for next time. & if you were shorted maybe they will fix it.
I’ve tried that route before and they couldn’t explain and they REFUSED to give me my RR. The manager said he was not even ABLE or Authorized to print a RR. I was told to take it up with corporate! Instead I just got a refund. It was for $10RR on the Coke deal a couple of weeks ago. Mgr said it would take corporate 6-8 weeks to even respond to my request at corporate, and by that time if they refused to give them to me I couldn’t even get a refund, so I just said forget it. You really have to watch closely when you’re checking out. I’m so frustrated with all the manufacturer coupons and the sale paper coupons that have to be scanned and people behind me huffing, that I forget stuff.
Over the past month I have had a few transactions where the RR did not print out. Luckily I caught it at the end and each time they just rescanned the whole transaction and returned the previous one. Each time that resulted in the RR printing. So if they refuse to help I’d say then I’m returning it. Then rebuy it. Maybe it will work for you??
Just call corporate. I’ve done that a few times and have always gotten a response within a day or two, and always in my favor. My Walgreens is very easy to work with though and I’m sure if I just brought my receipt into the store they’d give a RR without me even going through corporate. It’s not true that the Manager can’t print a RR. I hope you get it straightened out!
my coke RR also didn’t print, and after politely arguing for a couple minutes, the manager went to the back and printed me off a form to mail away for my RR. I can’t believe it takes 2 months for them to get it to me. ridiculous.
I had problems with the Coke deal too. They rang it through 4 different times trying different Coke products, with and without redeeming RR, you name it. Finally the manager got frustrated and just somehow credited my credit card with the amount that the RR was supposed to be. Walgreens just doesn’t seem to have it all together.
I would just go and return it…without going into details …I would actually wait till next week ,when new deals arrive and return it

U may have bought product which does not print RR …like they had lozenges with RR once I got like orange flavour but only cherry printed RR for example
OOHHH I know exactly what happened …RR printed only on 2 boxex of serio…its 1 RR per customer per purchase ….this week …I know cause i ve got 4 kellogs and i split that in 2 transactions ….so both times catalina printed RR …..

I had this problem today when I went in. I had the 4/$4 coupon so I only got one RR for $2. I was kinda bumbed. But then I went to another store because I had coupons for 2/$1. I was able to get both $2 RR there. The manager told me that they don’t always notice when they’ve been cleaned out of stuff before he reorders again on Sunday (since ads come out on Saturday). The next shipment arrives on Thursday. So I now know if I it’s gone to check back on Thursday. One of my Walgreens, and of course it’s the one closest to me, is always sold out by the time I get there Monday.
mj, Yes you are so right, I didn’t realize that! To use my $4/4 coupon I could have only got one $2/RR so they only shorted me one $2 RR instead of 2/$2 RR.
This was Frosted Flakes the pic in the ad, there is no way I bought the wrong flavor and it rang up 2/$5. I used a $4 coupon so what happens if I take my 4 boxes back and get a refund? I lose my $4 coupon too? How does that work when you take something back that had a coupon? And why is it my receipt will say I’m using a coupon for X amount on X item, but it wasn’t even that item or I didn’t even have one for that item. I’ve never understood how that works. One time they gave me a hard time when I went back in after getting in my car to say I didn’t get my RR, they acted like I was scamming them. They need a better tracking system. I’ve read that some dishonest clerks snatch the RR and use them or give them to their family to use. It’s like cash and there really is no tracking system. You just got to speak up IMMEDIATELY. I just get so flustered at the counter.
I would still try calling corporate. Sometimes I feel like Wags employees aren’t coupon friendly, but their corporate number has always been extremely friendly to me. They may contact the store manager for you. Many times when a register reward doesn’t print for me they will try re-ringing the items in to get it to print. Once they just handed me cash. If corporate want to make you wait to mail it you could always tell them you’ll return the items instead. Although I thought you couldn’t return food.
You don’t need to call corporate, you can contact the Catalina Marketing people, they can look into it for you. Sometimes the machine might be out of ink, paper, jammed or not even turned on and that will cause the RR not to print. Another thing is the RR doesn’t print until after you pay for the purchase, and there might be a delay before it starts printing, so if you walk away, the cashier can give it to the next person. (they can get fired for taking RRs)
Anyway, call 1888-8COUPON or email coupon@catalinamarketing .com
If you email them, just tell them that you purchased 4 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal and per the 4/1 ad, you were to get a $2 RR for the 1st 2 boxes and it didn’t print. You will also need to give them the Store Name/Number, Address, Phone Number, Date, Time of Purchase & the Transaction Number from the receipt. Don’t forget to leave your mailing address. Usually I get a reply within 3-4 days saying my replacement RR will be mailed and I will receive it within 14 days (and it usually takes less time than that)

CVS trip transaction 1: Depends Silhouette 3.99, used $2 CVS coupon and $2 Depend Coupon stack and got free with 2 ECBs back, bought 2 packs of Puffs .99 each and had 2 crush sodas and used my $2.50 ECB from a previous transaction and my BOGO crush soda coupon and spent $1.41 OOP after tax. And my $2 ECB for the Depends printed out at the end of transaction. I also got a 25% off future purchase on items (not sale or promotion)
Transaction 2: Used my husband’s CVS card and got another Depends Silhouette and used the $2 CVS coupon and stacked with $2 Depend MC and spent. 26 cents OOP (tax) and got $2 ECB back.
Today: 1st transaction: Went back to CVS because I ran out of tissues (allergy season) and got 2 more packs of Puffs for .99 each. Used my $2 ECB from my Depends transaction yesterday and spent .13 OOP for tax and got a $1 ECB for using my green bag tag.
2nd transaction: Used my husband’s card and got 2 more Crush sodas using BOGO coupon and 2 packs of toilet paper not on sale for 1.19 each and used my $2 ECB from other Depends promotion yesterday with the 25% off coupon that I used on the toilet paper that was regular price and spent 1.43 OOP.

I love seeing the purchases with the items listed. I’ve always been a visual person, which is one of the reasons I love your site! A lot of other sites just list the current coupons, but seeing the products really helps em see what I can get. I’d love to see future shopping trips.

Yes CVS will let you use expired ECB’s which is why I always do Wags first since they won’t let you use RR once they expire. I actually used ECB’s at CVS last week that expired 2/7 with no problem. Might depend on your cashier though. I’ve never had a problem…good luck and happy couponing
not all CVS use expired ECBs, so call first before you go. I have 3 CVS within a mile of my house, 1 does not, 1 takes all and 1 takes them up to 30 days expired….always ask first.
They did for me once, but it was only expired by a day
mine are only two days my little boy had surgery and i was so busy with him i didnt coupon for a week and a half i hope they let me its worth a try i guess!!!!

They’re not supposed to, they might take it as a courtesy since it is a loss if they do. Mine used to, but not anymore. The only expireds they take are coupons that print from the magic machine if they are attached to a RainCheck from an out of stock item.

YES YOU CAN! i used 2 $10 RRs that were expired from the day before. i was so nervous and disappointed in myself for letting $20 expire! i tried using one first, and it scanned through with no beeps, no problem! of course if the cashier notices it they might not like it but it is completely okay! i folded mine over so the barcode side is facing up but that was just how i put it in my wallet! so just try and the worst that happens is they say no! good luck, it worked for me! 🙂
What did u think of the prints? I thought they were terrible – I guess just paper quality. It felt sticky and gross! I worked in photofinishing and these were like our prints that came out of the instant printer. Oh well, free! I’m using mine to make a poster board for my 20 month old cause he loves pictures and pointing out everyone he knows. We’re trying to convince him to sleep in the big boy bed instead of his crib.
I so agree with the quality, glad I didn’t pay for them! They cropped my pics oddly even though the preview before you order didn’t show this. The colors were off and they darkened my pics. I’m in the process of getting copies of pics for my daughter and my ex (her dad) so I already had one set of copies of these pics through Shutterfly and they were a thousand times better! I threw them in the trash, not even worth my time regardless if they were free or not!

No, Walgreens is one of the only stores that I know of which lets you use two coupons on a BOGO sale, so I think your store gave you incorrect information!

I had the same problem! But my cashier was already accusing me of photocopying coupons because the print quality on them was poor, so I didn’t feel like arguing the BOGO thing. So so so tired of Walgreens. Whey do I keep shopping there?

I just came back frpm rite aid got my free pepsi max,$1 cookies that had a50¢ coupon, ans got a pack of incense sticks use 2ups did not use the pepsi coupon because.my total after up was $1, i save the pepsi coupon for another ocasion, and i was suppose to get 2ups for the incense they had a sign that if you purchase it you would re,eive 2ups but they did not print so they gave me a $2 giftcard.
My walgreens was so nice! I bought garnier styling products that didn’t have the tags for the RR and the manager just did an override and gave me the 5 dollar gift card! I ended up spending $12.79 for 4 bottles of shampoo and conditioner, 2 styling hair putty, and 3 m&m bags! But technically it costed 7.79 because of the gift card they gave back to me! Awesome!
When I went to Walgreens this week, I came out of there with 1 free 8X10, 1 free folded card and 25 free prints. The photo worker looked at me with a puzzled face and said, “This can’t be right, you are not being charged for anything.” I said, “I know, they are supposed to be free. They are internet deals!” That tickled me to death! On another note, I saw Hefty trash bags on sale for $4.99 with their in ad coupon. Is there any manufacturers coupons anywhere to stack with that and make it a sweeter deal?

I had trouble with the cereal deal too. My transaction:
2 Kellogg cereals $5
– $1/2 M coupon
– $4 RR
= $0 **All I should have had to pay was $0.10 tax**
They wouldn’t let me use my RR though, claiming that the $1/2 M coupon counts as 2 coupons and that I would need a filler item to use the $4 RR. I have been couponing and shopping at Walgreens for years, and have never come across this problem. They said it has always been their policy that a $/2 coupon counts as 2. I even called corporate. She said the same thing. I asked when they started counting them as 2, she said a manager will have to call me back. And I checked their coupon policy online…it says nothing about this issue.
Its been like that as long as I’ve been shopping their, at least 3 years now. Their register logic is odd. The $1/2 attaches to both items and you had nothing for the $4 RR to attach to, so you’d need to throw in a small filler.

I run into that same problem at some of the WGs I shop at and the cashiers were nice. They said I needed to implement the “Taffy” rule. In other words add a 10 cent piece of taffy candy and the computer would accept the coupon. I did and was able to make my purchase(s). My cashiers are always nice about trying to help customers figure out the rules of couponing at Wags. They want customers to get the best deals. I am lucky!
The coupon states $1 off 2 boxes..that’s why it attaches to 2; just because it is one slip of paper doesn’t mean it’s only 1 coupon. It’s always been this way.
Yes terri is right. $1/2 coupons are taken for 2 Kellogg’s. So you need to add one more item for using RR.

I have stopped shopping at Walgreens and CVS – I’m sick of being the jerk holding up the line arguing when most of my coupons beep then I don’t get the RR printed anyway. I feel like such a shmuck when that happens, I just gave up. I can find deals at other stores who have nicer cashiers. I do get the free photo deals tho, they can’t argue with those!!!
Just went to 2 Wags for Allegra, and got 2 for free! So happy to get those expensive brand for my allergy problem all thorough the year. Both stores were totally out for them in their allergy section, but found them at special Allegra stand in front of the pharmacy counter, so if you are looking for 5ct Allegra, you should go look at the pharmacy!
I scored a good deal today on clothing for my son. I read a few weeks back about the new pricing and sale guidelines for JC Penny’s. I wanted to go check it out for myself today and was elated to get so many good deals on clothes! I spent a total of 25.20 (tax included) for a pair of boxers, thermal set, pair of jeans and 6 shirts! I plan on going back on the 3rd Friday and see what else I can score. My son has a bday in Sept (he will be 7….I can’t get over that!) and then X-mas will be on the way, so my plan is to get some stuff a stash away for gifts and get some for my two nephews as well. I am really pleased with the new method at Penny’s, will be shopping there more often!
Our local Target had Nice and Easy Foam hair color on sale for $7.79. I had a $4 target coupon which I stacked with a $3 and $2 coupon (bought 2 boxes) and scored a $5 gift card so $1.58 for both 🙂 It was my deal of the week!
