CVS: 2012 Black Friday Deals (11/22-11/24)

The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

CVS will be open on Thanksgiving day. Call your local store for specific hours.

There are some nice freebies at CVS during Black Friday; however most of the *HOT* deals will be valid from 11/18-11/21 (stay tuned for those deals on Saturday! :) )! Remember, you can always ask for a rain check if your store is out of stock on an item (some exclusions apply)….and rain checks never expire!

Also, be sure to check your ad for a 25% off Shopping Pass coupon found on the front page of your ad valid on regularly priced items. Before starting your shopping trip, be sure to scan your CVS card at the Magic Coupon Machine to see what CVS store coupons print out that you can also combine with manufacturer’s coupons and Black Friday sales for some sweet savings!

If you are a newbie to CVS shopping, head on over here to check out the CVS Store Guide! And if you are new to all this coupon mumbo jumbo (huh?!), then check out our Coupon Newbie section.

Want to create your own custom printable shopping list?!

  • Jill says:

Some nice deals! THANK YOU Collin! :)

  • hey there! i was just wondering if you may able to add next weeks cvs ad to the black friday deals since they put so many more in it as opposed to this one? if you can it would be awesome, but if not i totally understand! thank you so much for all that you do and just know how very much we –ALL– appreciate it! :)

    • Steph says:

They are separate ads and dates. If she puts them together I think that would be very confusing. If what is posted on iheartcvs.com is true the ad that starts this Sunday only runs until next Wed. So the deals will be over for that time period.

    • Rose says:

is it going to be 3-day and then 4-day ad? for cvs next week? for everyone or just some people?

i asked at the cvs in my city and was told its going to be full week ad! (forgot to ask if that means the thanksgiving sale starts on the 18th) so now im confused does that mean that in my county/ city the sale will start before the thanksgiving day?

      • Marie says:

The best way to find out what the ad will be where you live is to go to cvs.com on thursday and click upcoming ad. You will then be able to see what the ad that starts on Sunday will be exactly. I heartcvs.com is great but regional sometimes. I live in Ohio and sometimes the ads are different. A couple weeks ago they had 2 ads in one week but I only had one running all week. Hope that helps.

      • mel says:

        Its a 4-day Ad (Sun – Wed), then 3-day ad (Thurs/Fri/Sat) .
CVS has done a split wk for Thanksgiving many years now. Except this yr I guess they are trying something new and having a bulk of the freebies starting Sunday. I can’t wait! I have my list & coupons ready!!

        • Steph says:

Check your area where you live on CVS.com under upcoming ad for this Sunday. Just checked for my area and our ad runs from 11/18 until 11/24. Just put in your zipcode and check under your preferred store. My area usually doesn’t do the split ads so I’m glad I checked. I’m in the Columbus, OH area FYI.

          • jenn says:

The website does say it is a full week ad through the 24th but the actual ad printed in store, in the paper and as printed on cvs.com state 4 days only.

  • Nikki says:

I’ve had past experiences where stores would tell me there were no raincks available on during these sales on BF.

    • Shayla says:

I had that problem too at my local CVS; however, when visiting my folks there’s issued RCs. Just depends on the store…couldn’t hurt to ask =)

    • irene says:

A lot of times, the freebies are one time products just for the sale, not normally stocked. If they refuse on regular stock, try calling corporate.

  • Jodi says:

Question: Can I buy 2 Chex at $2.87 (since it is limit 1)? Or does the limit 1 mean I just will get only 1 ECB, but I can buy more than 1 cereal at that price?

  • Katie says:

The Black Friday week CVS ad is so much better than its actual Black Friday ad! I’m happy though — I’d rather go on Sunday than Thanksgiving day!

  • Lisa W says:

Will these change based upon any new coupons that come out this Sunday? Or will there be no coupons because of the holiday? TIA!

  • krizza says:

I believe the saving star for cereal is like a coupon that lets you save $1 not get back $1 for purchasing the cereal. or am i wrong?

    • Becky says:

Saving star sends you a check so you pay for it then when you get more the $5 i think they send you a check. HTH

      • Shayla says:

you get to choose a gift card in the amount (once you hit the $5 threshold; you can continue to save over that and pick your payout whenever); there are 4 to choose from, including Amazon and paypal. I basically get a $5 gift card every month on things I was already buy =) Depending on the store, it can take up to 30 days to post though (especially Kroger, they take forever; CVS usually takes 7-10 days). Hope that helps!

  • kat says:

Do you know if Christmas singing toys are included in BOGO sale?

  • Kristen says:

On the chocolate deal, it says on mars products so how can we use the dove coupons and get ecbs? Mabey I’m missing something..?

  • Leanne says:

    Hi,
Are these deals post for all week?

    Leanne

    • Stephanie says:

No, it’s a 3 day sale beginning Thanksgiving Day. The deals for the beginning of next week have not been posted yet. I’m sure Collin will post them on Saturday as usual.

  • Shayla says:

FYI, for those interested, the Zoo Waffle maker is so cute! I got it the other week and my kids love to help make breakfast. I have gotten the chocolate fountain in years past and we have used it on other things, including a barbeque fountain. I love things that get multiple uses =)

    • Erin says:

The zoo waffle maker is cute, but it cooks very unevenly. Hubby got me a highly rated Cuisinart model for Christmas and Grandma got the kids the zoo one. We were going to keep them both, but the Cuisinart blew the other one away. Half the animal was verging on burnt while the other half was barely cooked. We sold it at our yard sale. Too bad–one waffle at a time is too slow for my hungry kids!

  • Melissa Via says:

is the 25% regional because is not on front of my weekly ad or is it just for thursday?

  • Marie says:

Looks to read 11/22 til 11/24 for the 25% coupon. But it could be regional. Just have to wait and see what comes in your paper and if where you live is following that ad. It would be nice if all areas/regions followed one ad/dates, etc.

  • Joy says:

I’m wondering if the CVS card is just one per household? I was thinking of signing my husband up but wasn’t sure.

    • Jennifer says:

Technically your not supposed to have more than one per household. I know people that have multiple and get the deals twice. I personally don’t because it’s not ethical.

    • Patti says:

I guess I’m not ethical, matter of opinion :/, however, my husband has a seperate card he had before we were married, and I use both.

      • Amanda says:

Don’t worry, Patti…I do the same thing. I have had my card since college and it is still in my maiden name registered at my parent’s house (they don’t have a card or shop at CVS). I also use a card in my husband’s name with our address.

  • Chrissy says:

Does anyone know for the deals that will be part of both ads if the ECBs will reset on Thursday or will it still be limit 1 for the whole week?

    • mel says:

From what I’ve seen, there are no overlapping deals. 4-day ad has totally different items than the 3-day ad.

    • Steph says:

Depends on where you live and if your area has an ad that runs all week or not. My area the ad runs all week 11-18 until 11-24. Look under CVS.com and upcoming ad to see what your area is doing. Glad I checked my area before getting the Sunday paper.

      • mel says:

so those with a full wk ad wont’ have the Black Friday ad specials? Or are they listed in the ad as starting on Thursday?

        • mel says:

OK, I checked CVS.com for my area and you’re right, it does say its running 11/18 – 11/24… however today my very nice store manager gave me the 11/18 ad, the front says 11/18 – 11/21 AND the BF ad which has sale date 11/22 – 11/24. So I’m thinking that the 11/18 ad will possibly run the whole wk, then 11/22 will run the 3 days. But again, there aren’t any overlapping deals for either ad, so I don’t think there will be a reset on Thursday.

  • confused says:

    Hi,

Can a CVS 25% off coupon be combined with all those deals that are free after ECB?

    Thank you :)

    • Lisa W says:

I used to think so, and I thought they used to, but a couple weeks ago a cashier told me that items qualifying for ECB are considered as being “on sale”, which excludes them from those % off coupons. HTH!

      • confused says:

Gotcha. Thank you for answering! Happy Thanksgiving :)

        • Kathy says:

I think it depends on the deal. If there is a price given, it’s usually a sale price and therefore you can’t use the 25% off. However, if the deal is something like: buy 2 and get $5 ECB (like some Nivea deals, etc) and the price is NOT on sale, then I think you an use the 25% off. I used my 25% off on another scenario the other week: spend $XXX and get $ECB (it was spend $25 on Schick and they weren’t on sale).

So, I think you can use the 25% off for those 2 types of scenarios. I did see the other week that the 25% off was taken after my CVS manufacturer coupons (which some ECBs are considered) — it was difficult for me to figure out exactly what qualified as 25% off, as I tried many different calculations.

If it’s the type of coupon you send to your card, they will tell you at check out how much the coupon is worth before they apply it to your receipt.

          HTH

  • Brandy says:

I can’t wait to get the 18th matchups as they are pretty awesome:)

  • Laura says:

What do I need to get a CVS card? Like do I need to provide a drivers license or any documents? T.I.A,

    • Lori says:

It’s a short form they hand you with a card at the store. Basic info, name, address, telephone number (which you can use in cases where you might forget your card), and email address. You fill it out and hand back to cashier and they give you a card. Simple.

  • Melissa says:

Anybody know what time the deals start in the 24 hour stores?

  • Lizzii says:

Hello, was wondering what the 10/28 ss is? For the lipstick

    • kat says:

it stands for Smart Source, a coupon booklet, that was in the Sunday newspaper on October 28, 2012. So the coupon for Revlon lip that goes with that sale would be found in only that week’s specific booklet.

  • edy says:

Okay ladys and glentleman! I stay in texas, our new ad for thursday its one page thursday-saturday! We may get a 25% from red machine because! Its not in the store ad! But, they have this black cupons with a 25% off cpn to use at cvs between thursday-saturday they have different bar codes so, they may hand u some as u we come in they may run out before, also, the employees cvs will get 6 cupons for them to use for a 30% off to use DEC 1-DEC 2 only for family and friends! So, hopefully some of us have a friend cashier and she may be willing to share one of those cupons for a 30% off non sale items! Good look! Getting one to everyone!

  • Amber says:

I was wondering if anyone knows what time the ad starts?

  • Brandie says:

Hi, can anyone tell me if you can combine the 25% off coupon with the B1G1 toys?? Since technecially the first toy will be full price? Thanks!!

  • edy says:

Brandie, I asked my cvs manager but, on the perfumes since, there going to be buy one get one free and it will work ur paying full price for one. Also, the sales start tomorrow at 7am when stores open at mine. They don’t have very much stuff they had at my cvs 4 only of the speakers for 48.88 and about 10 sets of spoiled nail polishes, and about 20 ear thingys for the ipods, Also, the 25% off worked on the buy one get one half off perfume since, one is full price the other half off. And my cvs there giving rain checks on everything they didn’t have for the sunday – wednesday sale. Except the makeup set because, its a seasonal item.

  • Karen says:

Sale started early for us! But only on three of the itemS. Got the gum toothbrushes, earbuds and flossers. We have the weeklong ad here so the battery and Milky Way prices have not swapped ( they are in the 11/21 sale on sale. Will wait until tm to get those two . I’m in northern ca.

  • Tina says:

Got all the deals tonite… awesome here in central Ca… was weird tho i went to 2 stores and 1 store had the deals going early but the other one didnt. thanks

    • KP says:

Same thing happened to me. Some items weren’t updated with the new prices so I’ll have to go back in the morning, but pretty much got what I wanted.

  • Txmomx3 says:

Has anyone gone today? Is the 25% off coupon in the ad they have at the door or only in the ad in the newspaper? Any help would be appreciated, before I leave the fan to run up there. TIA

    • Steph says:

Mine was in my ad that I got in my paper but the ones in the store didn’t have them in the ad. Its a limit also of 1 per person/card.

  • Elissa says:

So the Black Friday deals are going on all day today?

  • edy says:

Our newspaper had the 25% off cpns, but, the ad at store doesn’t have it, they have this black friday cpn to use thursday-friday at store to pass out to customers. But, they may run out only a few of this, unless u get one at red machine and our sales are on at 7am when store open today! I haven’t may it yet, but. My thought the 4 day was so much better,
