On another note, I discovered that quite a few nail care items are on clearance for 75% off regular retail. If you are looking to snag bottles of nail polish for stocking stuffers or just to add to your own collection, you may want to consider heading over to your local Rite Aid store. With prices starting at just $1.99, you should be able to snatch up bottles of nail polish for as little as $0.50 each!

Finally, keep your eyes peeled for clearanced artificial nail products. As you can see from my picture above, many of the Pretty Woman Artificial Nails at my Rite Aid are marked 75% off plus they qualify for a single check rebate and +Up Reward! Check out this moneymakin’ scenario…

Buy 6 Pretty Woman Artificial Nails on clearance for 75% off at $1.49 each (reg. $5.99 each!)
Buy 2 Pretty Woman Artificial Nails on clearance for 75% off at $1.99 each (reg. $7.99 each!)
Total = $12.92

Does the $12 worth to get the $5 UP need to be at once or does it track multiple purchases? Same for the rebate.. can I buy 1 and then 2 or do all 3 need to be on one receipt?

    Thanks

    • mel says:

It’ll track on your receipt. for the SCR, it’ll track as well and once you meet the required amount, will tell you that you qualified.

On a side note though, I am so disappointed to read that Dec is the last month for the SCR program. I figured it was only a matter of time though.

  • Van says:

    wouldn’t buying 6 of the $1.49 and 6 of the $1.99 equal $20.88?

  • Van says:

how do you get the rebate? I’ve never done rebates before.

    • Conswalla says:

They have a booklet in the store that has all of their rebates for the month. Look in the book and find the appropriate rebate # for your item. Go online to Rite Aids website and look for the link to the “single check rebates”. Submit the rebate information from your receipt and follow the instructions on the site. Once the rebate is accepted, you can request a check. I hope this helps. The process is quite simple. I still have a $3.00 check to cash. o_O

  • Mabel says:

The magnetix nail polish is also on sale 75% At my store and also part of thesingle check rebates so free after rebate……I email Collin about this days ago…disappointed she never told her blog followers! I even sent her a picture.

    • Hi Mabel!

I did appreciate your email. I typically like to personally test the deals at my local Rite Aid before I post them on Hip2Save as I was able to do today. I apologize that I did not post the deal sooner.

      • mabel says:

I understand Collin! That’s why I only said i was dissappointed :) not angry like a lot of ppl get…..I REALLY appreciate all you do for us and the great deals we wouldn’t get with out your help :D!!!

  • Krysteen says:

I have been eyeying them for awhile since I heard they are 75% off, I even had the cashier scan two of them and they came up reg. price. I’ll try again this evening hopefuly they have marked them off. Great Deal. I was able to get only 3 impress that were 75% off last week. Went in this week and they were gone, so the ones left were regular price but with an Up reward.

  • Nicole says:

The nails weren’t 75% off at my store :( they were buy one get one 50% off

  • Danielle says:

The gel nail polish that doesn’t require a light to set has some for 75% off too, and the best part? There is a $2/1 coupon, so after you buy the first one, (which rings up $2.99) you can get the coupon out and use it on another one to make it $.99. Usually these are like $10. Not too shabby.

  • revathi says:

    Hi Collin,
Kiss or Broadway nails were also part of the clearance. When I tried giving a manufacturer coupon to pair with the clearance price, the cashier declined to accept it saying that they can’t accept MQ on clearance items since RA will not get reimbursed from the manufacturer. I am not sure about this policy of Rite Aid. Please clarify.
    Thanks,

    • blogginmama says:

I was told the same thing by the cashier when I did the Almay clearance…but he accepted them…figured it was the manager decision!

  • Holly W. says:

Just got back from R/A and was abe to score a great deal on Love’s Baby Soft:

    Buy 2 Loves @ $5.50 each
    Total with B1G1 50% $8.25
Use 2 $2 off Dana fragrance coupons http://www.danaclassics.com/index.php/points/holiday?display=coupon
    Pay $4.25
Get $5.00 UP reward for purchasing two fragrances
    $.75 money maker

I noticed there are also some small pocket sized Dana fragrances for $2.99 (Tabu,
Chantilly, British Sterling). Use the $2 coupon and those would only be .99 as I don’t see a size restriction on the Q. These were not behind the glass case, but out with the other gift sets.

    • Lisy says:

WoW~~ great. Would you please tell us which page of the AD they are?

      • Holly W. says:

Hi Lisy. On page 7 of the add on the right hand side near the bottom, it says “All Fragances – regular retail $3.99 to $26.99″ are B1G1 50% and you get $5.00 up when you buy two. I asked the manager at my local R/A and they said all fragrances behind the glass case are included. I had them scan them and then checked how they rang up…when the 2nd one came up at 50% the price, he said I would get the UP reward and all went through fine. The $2.99 pocket size fragrances will not give an UP since they are below the $3.99 price, but with the Q, those would only be .99. These are great gift basket fillers and stocking stuffers for teenagers!

        • Lisy says:

Thank you. Now I know why I did not found the fragrance of low prices in the case.

          • Holly W. says:

My r/a had the Love’s behind the glass case and many in that price range up to the more expensive ones. I wouldn’t think it would matter where they are located in the store and should be based on the ad. There was one customer in front of me who didn’t recieve an UP for something in the ad and he gave her a gift card. I guess it’s a YMMV….good luck!

    • Shell says:

Does anyone know if the 2.99 fragrances actually smell good? TIA

      • Holly W. says:

My two teens, 13 and 16, like Chantilly. They like the small size for their purses. I’ve don’t recall ever smelling Tabu. There are some men’s fragrances, but I’m a single mom with no “men folk” in the house. English Leather was one, as well as Navy and British Sterling…..seems like the ex used EL, but honestly can’t remember. My neighbor got some for her hubby who travels a lot and some for a small local Children’s home that we donate some of our coupon and freebie acquistions to….they have several teens and love getting the hygiene items.

    • blogginmama says:

I did this deal but one coupon beeped…cashier pushed it through… did both of yours go through?

      • Holly W. says:

Yes, mine went through fine with no beeps. The mgr rang me up and he even asked me which website of the Q for himself! I have a great r/a with great mgr and staff and rarely have any problems. Glad it worked for you.

        • Holly W. says:

Okay…haven’t had nearly enough caffiene this morning….he asked for the website of the Q as he wanted to do the deal for himself…..:)

  • daphne says:

I didn’t get the 5 ups reward. Do I go on their website and print it? or do I get it right away at the register?

    • Holly W. says:

Hi Daphne. You won’t get the up on the $2.99 fragances since the ad is for fragrances $3.99 to $26.50. But, with the Q, those would only be .99. Check your receipt again, as UPs load to your card unless you have opted out. You may see a small fine print statement that says $5 are loaded to your card. I chose to opt out, so that my Ups do print at the bottom. You can call 1-800-riteaid and ask to opt out. Some other “hipsters” have said the managers can do this at the register with your card, but I did this through cust service.

  • Lisa says:

I got the UFO flyer for $9.99!! Regularly $39.99. The toys are 50% off, then with the $10 coupon, it made it 9.99 :) Yay!

  • b says:

Headed to rite aid for some of these great finds! Unfortunately not one item was on sale! :( Just BOGO %50 off… But no clearance anywhere!
