i need this now. but we are unable to do it again using the $2 register rewards???

    • Tilla Ham

RRs do not roll for the same item or brand, so you can use the 2 dollars but you won’t get a new 2 dollars

  2. Dana

    Grrr! I bought two yesterday!

  3. Jen

If you do this, does the Walgreens coupon count as one coupon or two (since you’re using it twice)? I’m wondering if you would need a filler item, since this scenario also includes a MQ. Thanks!

    • Jennifer

You don’t need a filler item. Only manufacturer’s coupons count toward the coupon total. Note that RRs are manufacturer’s coupons, so if you wanted to pay with the mfg coupons for cottonelle and another RR, you’d need a filler.

      • Jen

Good to know. Thanks for the response! 🙂

I wish I didn’t hate that toilet paper, ha, ha. It’s just not soft to me.

  7. Angie

I purchased 3 and no RR’s printed. The manager said that there was no monthly reward for the cottonelle.

I just went to my Walgreens (7:30 pm South FL) and it printed. I got two packs (2@$4)= $8. It took off $2 from the May Coupon Booklet (balance now $6 out of pocket) PLUS I used two $2 RR’s I had from last week (balance now $2.48 OOP with tax). THEN I still got the $2 RR back….so .48 total cost after getting RR back. Pretty darn good! 🙂

I just purchased 2 packages in northern california and no RR printed either. The manager told me there was no RR’s printing for this product this month.

  9. Holly

I just returned from purchasing 3 blue packages, and it worked just fine. I received $3 RR. Sadly, I didn’t get the MQ in my area (I’m in Northern California. I never get Cottonelle MQ’s in my inserts. In the past, I’ve only used Cottonelle IP’s).

$3 per pack works for me! Also, I asked the cashier if the catalina printer was on and working prior to the transaction.

5:02pm AK bought two and no RR :(……

Tried the deal today in Chicago and no Catalina printed. I initially bought two of the purple 12 packs and 50 cent Sunny Smile paper towel filler.. paid with two 50 cent Cottonelle manf coupons and the $1 off each CVS booklet, also paid with $5 RR from Splenda deal last week. Paid $3.47 but nothing printed out. None of the employees knew of this deal and the head manager came over. He allowed us to try again with the blue 12 packs, this time using no coupons, RR or anything and paying out as cash. Still nothing printed. He said maybe it’s because Walgreen’s ads switch tomorrow. I told him I didn’t think that was the case but I had no proof to show him. I tried looking on the Catalina website but couldn’t find anything on the spot from my iphone. Is there any proof somewhere I can submit to Catalina to have it mailed to me? They have mailed my coupons when they did not print before.

I did it in the NW subs of chicago and worked just fine

Just did this deal at 9:07pm CST
    (2) Cottenelle Extra Soft (Purple Package) = $10
    (2) Smarties Candies (Filler items) = $0.20
    (2) $0.50/1 Cottonelle Q’s (deducted $1)
    $1/1 Wags Cottenelle Q (deducted $2)
    (2) $2 Wags RR
    ———————————
    $10.20 – 7 = $3.20 (w/o tax)
and I did also get the $2.00 catalina that printed too!! SO $1.20 for 2 packages of Cottenelle and 2 Smarties (my victory snack!)
THANKS for the heads up on this deal!! 🙂

I was at Walgreens today and they have a new coupon policy. If a coupon beeps at all they cannot override it. I had an obviously legitimate deal with 2 like coupons and one went through the other one beeped. She tried it several times then apologized and told me they could no longer override them. So MAD I was ripped off for the amount of the coupon because of this new policy.

    • shandelle

Were you using a register reward or any other coupon? Walgreen’s policy is ONE coupon per item.. which is super irritating when trying to combine manufacturer coupons with register rewards. Unlike CVS where you can use unlimited ECB in one transaction it seems.

      • spirit11

nope, it was a totally legitimate deal, I’ve been a Walgreens shopper for a long time and I know how they use a RR as a coupon and you have to match them up, but this wasn’t the case.

Have to wonder if something was messed up in the catalina system earlier.. so many people across the US on coupon blogs reported it would not work, no catalina.. already filed my case with them to have it mailed to me.

I went and bought 6 packs today. Thnaks Collin

    • Craig

      Did it work today?

  16. LISSA

Thanks Collin and Company for all the work you do, it is appreciated.

I did this deal last night (Saturday) at 11pm in NYC. I had a combination if the purple and blue and it was a go!
