Have there been any more free items when you check in with your smartphone? The last time I was there I got free windex!

    • JD

Those coupons have all expired as of 8/2/13. The new coupons are 5/25, 15/75, and 10/75. The new set does not have any free item coupons.

  2. Matina Hunnell

Thank you! These deals have been RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING at Staples the past 3 weeks. I kinda feel guilty getting them

  3. Melissa

Can you price match a Staples product at Walmart for their brand? I know they will do it for items like store brand milk. Really didn’t want to drive 20 minutes for the marble composition notebooks … really hoping Walmart will price match!

    • shannon

they probably wont’ since STaples requires a $5 purchase.

  4. Blue

If I did the paper deal last week can I do it again?

  5. pharmchick

I am so paper-ed out now lol… With 2 packs each week for the past few weeks… Plus all the notebooks, looseleafs etc… For 1cent each i dont feel guilty at all to let ds doodle to his hearts content (with his .99 washable markers!! Lol)

  6. Leslie

There is a coupon for $1 off 2 zebra pens in the 7/28 ss

  7. Kerri870

I am pretty new to Staples. Can you get the rebates each week even if it’s for the same item?

    • Jac

Yep, you can. Double check the rebate offer numbers and purchase date requirements for both weeks just to be sure–it’s almost always a new rebate. (One exception might be for software rebates.)

      • Kerri870

        Thanks a bunch, Jac.

        • Nina

Are the rebates a check sent in the mail or a store rebate sent in the mail?

          • pharmchick

You can choose between a paper check or paypal. I personally choose pp since i get nervous of it getting lost in the mail.

            • Nina

              Thank You!

            • shannon

I”ve never had a problem w/ them getting lost in the mail. I’ve done it hundreds of times.

  8. Colleen

Can you still get the easy rebate if you use a card for store credit (like a gift card) to pay for the items?

    • Min

Yep, sure can. You can also pay with rewards if you have them, and you’ll still be able to get the rebate.

      • Colleen

        Thanks!

  9. Jamie

Do I have to print the paper coupon twice to get two? Or does it take off $3 twice with one coupon?

    • pam

Need to print twice to have it come off two.

      • Tanya

Are they supposed to take 2 coupons (1 for each pack of paper) in 1 transaction, because mine would only take 1 coupon per person?

      • shannon

My store will only allow you to get one absolutely free according to the wording on the coupon.

        • Tanya

          Thanks!

    • Sarah

I always print one coupon, but you have to ask the cashier to key in the code twice for the full amount to come off. It does not automatically do it twice, so just watch when you are checking out.

  10. Alison

Just as a note of caution. I had a lot of trouble with my last easy rebate from Staples for copy paper. Might want to save your receipt after submitting your easy rebate just in case things get messed up. In the end, I received my rebate check, but it was a bit of a hassle.

  11. Tarri

Got last weeks copy paper but only did one, this week I will do both rebates because of low up front out of pocket, which means pay less tax. Thanks.

  12. Brad

If I look on Staples.com, this ad doesn’t show up at my local store, but does at a random store I tried in a different state. Anyone else experienced this? Just wondering then if the deals really WILL be available at my store.

    • JD

Call the store and ask. Once in awhile a store will not have a weekly ad in order to gauge marketing effectiveness of the ads.

  13. Min

My ad in Michigan says that the Hammermill paper has a limit of 4 instead of 2, so keep an eye out.

  14. andrea

does anyone know if the kohls coupon is still printing with the staples receipt?

    • jolene

Yes, kohl’s coupon for $10/$30 printed today

  15. shannon

I have noticed that it’s been months since there have been any “free after Staples rewards.” I know that you get 5% off all items but it has taken me months to accumulate $5. Staples will only issue a Reward if you have $5.

    • Min

You’ll get rewards on the items that have rebates. So, if you buy those items you can actually have some money makers sometimes – depending on the tax. I know you have to wait for the cash, but that might be a way for you to build up the rewards.

      • shannon

I know I noticed the same thing too. When they went to 5% off all items, they didn’t do the FREE after REwards anymore. Bummer.

        • Min

If you have a teacher card the penny deals are 100% back & you can buy up to 25. That’s the only 100% back I’ve seen lately. I agree – bummer.

  16. Carmelita

The 20% coupon that exp tomorrow, if used on the Staples 8.5″ x 11″ Copy Paper, 5-ream Case $24.99, it deducts $5 making it 19.99 tax with the $20 rebate FREE

    • shannon

where is a 20% off coupon?

  17. Rachel

Anybody see the 10 ream multipurpose paper coupon on the email? It says makes it 9.99 after coupon and rebate?? is this a typo?

    • Rachel

I think I might go check it out. The worst that could happen would be that it wouldn’t work! I’m gonna ask about it and see if they will try it out before I have to pay….the ad doesn’t mention a rebate…but the wording of the coupon kinda sounds like the coupon is the rebate!?
