CVS Black Friday Hip2Save

CVS will be open on Thanksgiving day. Call your local store for specific hours.

There are some nice freebies at CVS during Black Friday; however most of the *HOT* deals (including 20+ freebies!) will be valid from 11/24-11/27 (stay tuned for those deals on Saturday, 11/23! 🙂 )! Remember, you can almost always ask for a rain check if your store is out of stock on an item (some exclusions apply)….and rain checks never expire!

Before starting your shopping trip, be sure to scan your CVS card at the Magic Coupon Machine to see what CVS store coupons print out that you can also combine with manufacturer’s coupons and Black Friday sales for some sweet savings!

If you are a newbie to CVS shopping, head on over here to check out the CVS Store Guide! And if you are new to all this coupon mumbo jumbo (huh?!), then check out our Coupon Newbie section.

Want to create your own custom printable shopping list?!
Simply click on the printer icon to the right of the post title and then follow the instructions to easily remove portions of the weekly deals that do not interest you. Then print and take with you to the store!

NOTE: Since this is the Black Friday Match-ups, most of the deals are great. As a result, I did not highlight anything in red since almost every deal would be highlighted. 😉

Does anyone know if the dream lites are the little tiny ones or the larger ones? I have 2 little ones both wanting one. Hoping they are the biggies.

    • Aly

      They’re the big ones.

    • Shanshan

Yep big ones. Your kids would love it. You’ll need 3 AAA batteries for each.

The small/mini ones are usually $12.99 and use special “LR41” button batteries.

    • debra

Wow, thank you ladies! I know they are $29.88 at Walmart so this is an awesome deal!

  2. Brandy

Sorry, I have a really silly question. When it says limit one per household per card- is that per day or for the whole time that the offer is good? A CVS just opened in my area so I am still learning! Thanks in advance for your help!

    • Missie B.

That is for the whole sale time.

    • TD

the whole time…it is tracked with your card! you can always have your husband or kid get a card too 😉

      • Sandeep

My store folks tell me that it is one per household and that wife & I cant have separate cards 🙁

        • Adriana

It’s one per household but under federal law anyone who has separate incomes and and claims taxes alone or with others can have their own card. I had a whole argument with my cvs manager about it because he wouldn’t let my sister have one because I have one and we live together.

          • Jeff Walker

            Good info to know!!

    • Chrissy

      its per cvs card.

  3. Carmen

Deals are not as good as those from Walgreens. But will stay tune for the 11/24-11/27 deals!!

    • LauraL

Maybe I’m not remembering right but last year, wasn’t it just a flyer with a 25% off coupon?

      • mel

My manager said the ad inside the newspaper will have a 30% coupon off your non-sale purchase.

  4. winnie

Does this sale start on 11/28 morning when the store opens?

    • mel

Yes. Last year when they did the split ad, none of the deals were activated on Wed, so I wouldn’t plan on trying to shop for early activation unless you have a 24-hr store. Usually these special 3-day & 4-day only sales are never turned over until after midnight.

  5. Mella

    Disappointed in CVS this year!

    • mel

pretty sad BF ad for sure, but I’m really excited about the 4-day ad before!

    • debra

Me too but they may have made up for it with the Dream Lites for me. I was so hoping for the free ear buds again this year. Kleenex, flossers and more. They let me down too.

      • Emmi

Rite Aid has free earbuds Black Friday! Don’t worry the 4 day sale prior to Black Friday looks a lot better. Lots and lots of freebies and even some moneymakers!

    • Stephanie

The four day add before BF is always better!! TONS of freebies usually 😀

  6. brien

The ad only shows the original cheerios. When more than one variety is included it will say select cheerios cereal.

    • mel

Last year, if I recall, the ad showed original cheerios and I bought the multi-grain.

  7. Rachel

All of the hot freebie at CVS last year were the 4 days before…the earbuds, the $20 Iron supplement, the tissues, playdough – there were at least 20 free items. Sounds like its the exact same this year!! I can’t wait to see store ad on the 23rd!! So thankful for this because I am one of the ones that braves Black Friday in the malls and to not have to stop at CVS will save precious sale time!!!

  8. ola

How does it work when u want to get a rain check for an item that it’s out of stock and u have coupons for it, plus the sale produces extra bucks? Will i be able to use the coupon, or include the sale of this item in one shopping trip (for example $4 off $20)? Will it produce the extrabucks when i go back next week to buy the itm? Thanks.

    • trina

The raincheck works just like the original sale did. Yes, they will manually print the ECB…be sure to remind them if they forget. On May use coupons ad long as they aren’t 2expired with the raincheck, even if it makes it a money maker! If you have a $4 off 20 purchase, you can only use that coupon once, and it can’t be expired ( although my store used to initial and let you use coupons that expired after the expiration date if it wad there fault, example if they were out of an item).

  9. Kim

I don’t know about everyone else, but I have been totally underwhelmed by the “Black Friday” sales this year-hoping Cyber Monday is better!

    • Jeff Walker

I agree!!! This is my first BF at CVS n nothing good!

  10. Lyndi Hedgecock

Hi Collin! Just wondering if you could post the pre-black friday ad early as well. I know there is a lot of stuff that I’ll want to pick up and it would be great not to have to get everything together all on saturday night. Since you are a few hours behind I never get the opportunity to get all of my stuff together until saturday night when the little lady is asleep! 🙂 And since we are going to have to get up super early it would be much appreciated if you could! Thanks so much! 🙂

    • mel

just look at the ad at iheartcvs.com. I know the breakdown isn’t like Collin’s, but the coupon matchups are done and if you need to print coupons, its better to get a head start now, rather than waiting until Saturday and the prints aren’t available.

  11. Sharon

confused; where are the 20 plus freebies listed?

    • Kelly

Collin says it right at the beginning of the post: “however most of the *HOT* deals (including 20+ freebies!) will be valid from 11/24-11/27 (stay tuned for those deals on Saturday, 11/23! 🙂 )”

  12. Lisa

How do you use the saving star account?

  13. Chian

When it says $4 Ecb (limit 6!) does that mean you can do it 6 times? Thanks!

    • mamascott

Yes. What are you buying that has a limit of 6? Didn’t see this one.

      • Dana

        I think it’s the revlon lip butter/lipstick

      • Chian

        Yes its the Revlon Lipstick

  14. lori

Hi! I just wanted to say thank you Collin:) You make couponing so fun! I had a question about cvs, wags and rite aid. Are the deals of the week separate from the Black Friday deals. because some ecb/rr/+up rewards deals are the same thing and i just wanted to make sure I would get a second reward on Black Friday. Thanks So much!

    • romy

i’m wondering the same thing, Lori. the GUM toothbrush deal says limit 1 in the first and second ads for the week, so i wonder if i’ll get the extra bucks if i buy it both times. we’ll see i guess!

      • Min

I bought one on Sunday and my receipt said I’d bought 1 of the 2 allowed. So, maybe it was 1 per ad or 2 for the week???

  15. abby

$2.00 Revlon Lip Product coupon on bettycrocker.com only .99!

    • Kelly

      Thank you Abby!

  16. Ann

Help, I am so confused about CVS Black Friday. Will the sales from Sun-Wed not be available on Fri-Sat? Also is anything on sale on Thanksgiving Day? Although I do not plan to go to any stores on Thanksgiving Day to support the employees that have to work that day. I don’t think any of the stores should open until it is Friday.

    • steph

There is a Sun-Wed ad and then the Thurs, Fri, Sat ad 11/28-11/30. So the 2nd ad of the week if you will starts on Thanksgiving day and goes through Saturday. New normal Sunday ad then again. HTH. Go to CVS.com and look under weekly ad in your area.

      • Ann

        Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!

  17. Jamie

There’s a new savingstar offer for $1 off purex!

  18. Carrie

Do you know if the deals like the gum tooth brushes start over today if you already did them earlier in the week?

    • mel

If you did 2 GUM during the 4-day ad, you can do it 1 more time since the limit was actually 3 for the entire week. If you maxed out the GUM, it did not reset.

  19. Cami

Hi! I asked the lady at CVS about doing the free candy bar again, since I had already done it earlier in the week and she said that yes, it reset and it would print off another ECB. So, the Dove Candy bar’s had a coupon for .25 off one candy bar….making it a money maker! I was able to do it again without any problems.

    • mel

The free candy in the 4-day ad was Hershey. The BF/3-day ad is Mars.

  20. Kelly

I was able to score free Hydro 5 and Silk razors. Used the 30% mailer. Plus, the $2.50/$12 razors printing from MCM

    Hydro5, HydroSilk= $26
    -$7.50 (30% Q)
    -2 $4 MQs
    -$2.50 CVS Q

    +$10 ECB WYB $25

Completely free! Even a lil MM I think

  21. tracy

I used the 30% off on the Scott paper towels. Plus, the $2 off CVS coupon and a .75 manufacturer coupon. Around $2.95 for an 8 pack of papertowels.

Also, my CVS cashiers are very friendly and try to help customers with the current deals. They told me they will accept recently expired manufacturer’s coupons. (expired within the last week) May be worth asking at your store.
