   I bought the Brother HL-2240 Mono Laser Printer for the same price last year, and have printed hundreds, if not over a thousand sheets using the same toner that came with the printer. I’m starting to see streaks on the pages, but it’s still letting me print- unlike my inkjet printer, and the coupons still scan at the register.
   I’d say it’s definitely a good buy!

  @yvette, I have the brother HL2270- did you know you can buy toner for it for $5 on ebay!!!! you CAN’T refill the “starter” cartridge that comes free with the machine (i believe because your missing a crucial piece) but after you buy one at the store you can refill it yourself. it’s so easy! Love that my toner is $5 instead of the $40-50!!

  wow, I found toner on ebay for even cheaper than that! That’s awesome! ..And here I was, wondering if I should just buy another printer. haha. Thanks for the tip! 🙂

  I have that printer too — I liked it so much that we got rid of every HP printer we had and replaced them with Brother printers. I use the Brother multi-function printer business. It takes the same cartridges. Also, FYI — there’s a larger cartridge (I think it’s TN 450) that prints up to 7000 pages. I get it from Cartridge World, which now has coupons for their toner refills too. So I spend about $45 net for the larger refilled cartridge and it lasts at least four or five months.

  Is it a wireless printer? does it have ither functions…i.e. scanner

  It’s not wireless, and it doesn’t have any other functions. I just use it to print coupons and it’s done a good job so far.

  Vj check the add cause I saw that the HL2280 will be on sale for 100.
  I have that one wireless and has scanner. Cant remember last time i bought ink and I print lots of coupons.

  We use the Brother HL2270 that appears similar to this for my medical practices main printer. I would totally buy a brother again. We print so much every day and I have never had a serious issue with it. It’s going on 3 years old. It must print hundreds of sheets a day. It’s a plain black ink laser jet and does its job well.

   I love the brother printer too! I replaced my wired one with a wireless one this year so I could print coupons from my phone and I still can’t get it to work after like 7 months. I’m not sure if it’s the printer or me, but i’m betting it’s me because I’m really not that great with technology. It works just as great as the old one when I use the wire.

  It’s not you, it’s the printer and the coupon site. For now you can only print coupons from phone (iPhone, iPad not android) using HP printer, the app doesnt work with wireless printer of other brands.
