Happy Friday: Using Kohl’s Cash to Help Others

Due to the awesome deals we got on Black Friday, my husband and I accrued $150 in Kohl’s cash! We were looking for a good way to spend it so we looked out to people in need. There is an Angel tree through our church, so we picked some needed things and purchased them with our Kohl’s cash! Were were able to get 2 Long-sleeve shirts, 9 pairs of socks, a sweater, 2 pairs of jeans, a Tonka truck, Nerf and extra darts for a little boy (everything that was on his wish list) and were also able to get a coffee pot for another family in need! What a great way to get in the Christmas Spirit! My husband, our new baby girl, and I had a blast shopping! Thanks for all the great deals you post! Merry Christmas!

I truly was not trying to be humble in anyway…with having a new baby and me being on maternity leave….my husband and I don’t have much extra to give this year, so we were excited to still be able to help in this way! I love frugality put to use to help others. Part of the reason I coupon and am such a cheap skate is so that I can donate to the homeless shelters and kitchens. Right now I actually just bagged up a bunch of various items to donate. Things like shampoo, pads, dish soap, razors, shaving cream, all things which I have been able to get for super heap or free with sales, coupons, and clearance. Thank you for reaching out to others with your shopping trip!

What you and your family did is wonderful! I don’t shop at Kohls too much and there have been times I just grab something so I don’t lose the kohls cash. I will now grab stuff to donate. Thank you so much for the great idea!
Very nice of you and your family. I took three names off the Salvation Army Tree at my mall so I can give those kids a present or two for Christmas. I do three for each one of my kids.

H2S is too cool. Every holiday season I try to give. This season the family budget is very tight! I forgot I can use my kohls cash to give. Awesome idea. Thanks for sharing.
Coats, underwear and socks are my favorite thing to donate! I used to badly need socks and underwear growing up, was so nice getting new ones on the rare occasions such as receiving donations. Happy Holidays!
Yup! Between kohls cash and shop your way rewards I was able to get the three angel tree siblings my husband took off the tree at work. I never would have been able to do that and do Christmas for my four kids! Hope they like their stuff too!

My sister and I donated 2 1/2 truckbeds of food to families in need and Capitol Food Bank over the Thanksgiving Holidays. I’m hoping to do one more batch too. I never would have had such a plethora to share if it wasn’t for you Collin. Thank you for all that you do.
