I went today and used the $1.50 coupons on the clearance lip shine. They were $3.69 in my store and were in a bowl by the counter in cosmetics. The 3,000 points did in fact work for the clearance items!! Such an amazing deal, I wish I had more coupons!

yes, you can use RRs to get points and use points to earn RRs. you won’t get points when you redeem points.
I would possibly double check about that. On the bottom of my add it states that you can’t use RR & earn RR in the same transaction. I had tried before noticing that & didn’t end up getting any of my points & so I had to deal with some really rude customer service person who told me that was my one & only chance to get those points credited to my account even tho I wasn’t suppose to receive them bc of using RR while earning them….. It wasn’t like I was using RRs on the same items that I earned them from or anything like that!
I believe the walgreens ad just mentions you can’t earn Balance Rewards (BR) on transactions where BR are awarded. I don’t ever recall seeing you can’t earn BR when using a Register Reward (RR) to pay. Just this week, I used BR to pay for my Scrubbing Bubbles, received $2 RR, then used the $2 RR towards the Quilted Northern and received the 1,000 BR. Not sure why you got such a rude CS rep, as the one time I had to call, it was b/c they did not have the item upc loaded in the system. That may have been what happened to you.?

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the most of out of your Walgreens balance rewards points? I have accumulated enough for a $50 credit, but I NEVER spend that much at a time.
I usually wait for the ad with the most Register Rewards. You can use your points to get RR, but can’t use it on deals that gives you points. I think next week’s ad (March 9th) has quite a bit. Good luck!
