And remember… Target will price match an item on many sites (including ToysRUs.com and Walmart.com!) – you’ll just need to show the price on your mobile device or bring in a printed page showing the current price. Before you head out, be sure to print the Price Matching Policy and keep it with you when shopping. And YES, you can use manufacturer’s coupons in addition to getting the price match. Last week I did a price match and tried to use a coupon and was treated like it was a criminal act. I was stunned and could not believe how rudely I was treated. Two workers felt it was their obligation to make a scene and a spectacle of me. I tried in vain to explain that they would be reimbursed by the manufacturer for the coupon but was told they were already taking a loss with the price match and would under NO circumstance take the coupon. Their attack escalated. My sister was inline to buy the Oscar Myer P3 snacks for 1.50and was using the .75 manufacturer coupon with 50% off Cartwheel and when the two workers who were rude to me grabbed them and refused to let her buy them because they would be free. Then with our Pantene deal we had bought three and had a 5.00 coupon then were to receive a 5.00 gift card. We could only get one because THEY had limits and needed to save some for other customers. This was Saturday, the last day. They loudly proclaimed coupon fraud???? Pantene coupon stated we could’ve used up to four. We just stood there not knowing what to do then I asked for a manager. They said they were managers but then I insisted on speaking with the person over them. She was civil but still claimed they could make their own rules regarding coupon policy since they have had too much fraud like mine?????? We had done nothing wrong according to Target policy. They used their position to be bullies to us. Needless to say I will not be shopping their ever again. Just think this all started over trying to use a coupon with a price match.

It’s really disgusting. I think you should not be bearing it quietly and you should contact their customer service and write to them in mail. Really sorry for you.
      A friend.

Horrible customer service!! I hope you called corporate on that store. If it was me, I would never let that go.

I despise price matching there too. I don’t like going to customer service to price match and feel like they treat me like a second class “guest”. I avoid it all costs.

My target is very very unfriendly to couponers and price matchers. It is so annoying.

Target does not like negative feedback on their Facebook page. Just sayin’ if you’d post there you might get some attention.

I quit shopping at Target just because of price matching. I tried to price match a video game a few weeks ago that was on sale at Toys R Us. They looked the game up on Toys R Us.com (even though I had the print ad) and said that it was out of stock at Toys R Us in our local store so they refused to honor the price match. I came home, called corporate and was told the same thing. I also posted my dissatisfaction on Target’s FB page. There were several people who commented on it telling me that it was a fair policy and one that made sense. Target themselves never commented at all. Needless to say, I’m not shopping there anymore. This is far from the first time I have had problems at this store. They hate couponers.

I tried to price match at target before too and they refused to do it. I even called the store first and they said yes they will price match. I stay away from target now. They also have a terrible return policy. Walmart price matches for me all the time no problem.

I too am a couponer and have had my moments with Target (in particular one store that I now avoid at all costs). Fortunately for me, I have several stores in the area that I can seek out deals if they fall through. It is a burden but I try to make a point to make nice with management/cashiers so they recognize me and that way know that I’m \frequent shopper/return customer and they have been accomodating. It stinks that so many have varied experiences with stores, especially if you are from a small town and only have one within a vicinity. Kill them with kindness and when possible, be open to any and all their “accusations” with explanations. If they see a fight, sometimes it’s a battle to start =(

Btw, our local Meijer store has had this particular Elmo on clearance for 25% off. It should hit 50% soon so that will be a steal if I am the lucky one to be there when it does. LOL
