It upsets me that sets like this only go up to a size 6. Heck, my daughter was wearing a size 6 when she was 4 years old. She is now 7 and has just gotten into American Girl dolls in first grade. However, I can never find these sets in bigger girls sizes. I did luck out at Kohl’s, around Christmas, but that has been it. I wish companies would catch on.

If you have a Kmart in your area check there. They have a store brand of sets like these that come in bigger sizes. I see them there on clearance a lot. You could check there website as well.

I completely agree, very little girls aren’t even the best age for those dolls. We have found a couple of nightgown sets for girl and American Girl size doll at Kohls in the last couple months that fit my size 7 daughter and they had bigger sizes as well.

yes Kmart has the What a Doll sets. M is 7/8 L is 10/12.They are cute. Bigger selection in store than online.

I so agree. My daughter has 2 AGs & I would love to find outfits in her size to match her doll. What’s funny is that I even see 10-12 yr olds still with their AGs. They would sell a ton if they just made a few. I love it when kids want to be kids.
Wish we had Kmart in Tx still oh well.

not with these particular items but I have the opposite problem with my 3 daughters (my son was always chunky/husky). the girls are very very thing, rarely ever even made it onto the charts, and 2 of them are tall…no clothes ever fit properly because they are too big and the stores seem to have huge plus size selections for girls and small tiny sized sections

  • An says:

FYI: I just checked the sizes. They only go up to 6-6x.

  • Sara says:

The What a Doll line at Kmart has larger sizes and frequently is on sale (or they were on sale a lot around Christmas).

  • Jessica says:

Zulilly has some Doll and Me sets in bigger sizes. Just search Doll and Me, and it will take you right to them.

    Score!!! Thanks!

Thanks, Collin! Got a set for my daughter’s birthday. She’ll be thrilled.

  • Jennifer says:

darn…. only goes to size 6! :( was going to do it until i saw the size… my daughter wears 8 now…

  • Laura says:

We ordered matching sets from Zullily. The tops were skin tight on both the dolls and my girls, who are both “average” size for their age. Huge disappointment. I’m ordering these from Target because at least I can return them (for free) if the items don’t fit.

I have found that the our generation doll clothes are hit or miss with fitting our AG dolls… have had better luck with the sets from Kmart, and they go on clearance for cheap a lot!!
