Amazon customer service is awesome! I let them know I did not receive the credit and they refunded me and let me keep the music as a gift!!

Angel, the only way I know to check for credit is to add a song to your basket (don’t place order though!!!) and then below the “Add song” you will see a blue line saying “Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance” then you click it and it will give you the credit info. I had to call to get my credit. Amazon is super nice though; I did use the chat version. Very easy.
where on Amazon is this advertised? I called to try to find out which songs are included in this promotion and they had absolutely no clue about this offer.

I got an email offer about getting free Amazon coins if I listened to my music on my Kindle. Listened and downloaded and coins still aren’t showing up.
I purchased one of the songs listed and never received credit. I called customer service and said that they are unaware of this promotion. Said it was a probably a SCAM. They made me feel like I was trying to scam them. I just told them nevermind because they made me feel stupid.
I purchase Katy Perry – Firework for 69 cents and got the $3 Amazon credit. I purchase it yesterday afternoon. I got an email from Amazon about the promotion credit around 11pm that night (took several hours to get confirmation email about it).
