Thanks so much! My husband has been telling me for months that he wants a Keurig for his birthday, which is next month, so I’ve been waiting for a deal like this! I couldn’t pass it up. With the ebates % back, it’s only $102. Great reviews too. LOVE saving money. It’s $179.99 on Amazon.

That is a sweet deal! I have had a Keurig for about 8-9 years and have not seen the price drop so low for the full size brewer.

This is a great deal! I have this brewer and it is used all day long for various things. We use it for coffee in the morning, instant oatmeal (hot water on demand!), afternoon tea, cup o’ soup, instant noodles, etc… Also, you can use 1 pack of packaged latte with one kcup on a larger setting and it makes instant latte/cappuccino.

Also, I got one for DH’s office. He uses it for various reasons throughout the day. From coffee to a random desk meal, he gets a lot of use from it!

As Keurig 2.0 rolls out, these older machines are on the way out; with it, also the capability of using non-Keurig stamped K-Cups (Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and Panera K-Cups come to mind). I wonder if it’s a solid idea to buy these on speculation for the impending changeover?

    • Leslie

You can always count on them to use non keurig cups, like the brands you mentioned. You can also use an Eco cup. I use mine for so many reasons, I can’t imagine not having one!

I did read somewhere a few mths ago that they were making the new machines with a sensor that would only use their k cups

        • Brooke

You’re correct. The new 2.0 brewers do require you to use K-cups with a built-in sensor on the top of the K-cup. It won’t brew if it doesn’t recognize there’s a sensor.

I disagree that these machines are on the way out. Keurig would be stupid to get rid of the machines that out them on the map!

      • Melissa

Yes, I agree. It would be the height of stupidity to make it so their machines can only use their brand of coffee cups. I have a Keurig and love it, but if the company changed the machines and made it so that one could only use their brand of coffee cups, I would never buy one again when I needed a new coffee maker. They would totally lose my business and the business of many coffee drinkers in their greed to corner the market. It brings to mind the maxim, “penny wise but pound foolish”.

In my opinion the new Keurig 2.0 will be a flop. They’ll probably have to bring back a machine like this. I don’t see too many people putting up with having to buy Keurig cups that have a RFID chip in them. I can also see a lawsuit coming like with HP when they tried to force people to use only their ink.

I love real coffee ie espresso based, I was puzzled researcing Keurigs because I seem not to find a mention of it brewing the real coffee? Why would I pay a 100 $ for something that doesnt brew espresso/ latte/capuccino? Anyone can explain? ( FYI I found a good price on espresso maker at bed bath and beyond, good reviews, for about 50 $, Im thinking of ordering that)

    • Carol_R

The people I know personally that love their Keurig machines are only making coffee for 1 person. The machine makes it easy to make coffee without much mess if you’re only making a small amount. If you’re making large quantities I don’t think it’s worth it.

The other place I’ve seen it used was at my veterinarian’s office. They let their patient’s owners have free coffee and it makes it easy to pick from a variety (regular, decaf, and others). I also think that they have it hooked up to a water pipe so that they don’t have to fill it. That basically makes it self-serve.

      • Brooke

I agree Carol. I received one as a wedding gift. My husband and I both like more than one cup of coffee in the morning, and I much prefer a regular coffee maker. We use it with the Eco cup because there’s no way my thrifty self is paying for that many K-cups each day!

This seems like a good price, but I’m going to wait for Black Friday when the Starbucks Verismo usually goes down to $99:) that can make espresso, lattes and black coffee. I have an older keurig, but the hubby really wants espresso, and I really like iced Americanos! I know it doesn’t have as much variety with pods as the keurig, but if u want espresso, I suggest the Verismo!

was this code only good for that day. im trying it now with out any luck

  8. Stacie

The code isn’t working. 🙁 Any suggestions???
