If you have a Sears nearby, I just want to remind you all about their huge $1.99 summer clearance event happening in most Sears locations! Check out the email I received from Hip2Save reader, Noelle, regarding the clearance bargains she scored:

[h2s_box]Collin, I just wanted to thank you for sharing the Sears summer sale!!! I was able to score some much needed clothing. My hubby was especially grateful for the dress socks, they were bogo50%. Everything else I bought was $1.99. I cant believe the greats deals they had. I bought a lot of summer dresses, shirts, shorts, and swim suit for next summer! Hopefully my daughter won’t skip sizes between now and then. πŸ™‚ Thanks again for all your time and heart you put into sharing the love![/h2s_box]

(Thanks, Noelle!)

I went to ours yesterday and they had a couple $3.99 racks and the rest was 50% off. I think ours might start a little later since our weather is still in the 80’s. Will keep checking though, thank you.

Nothing at my store was marked 1.99 they were all 3.99 and 7.99 but when I priced checked they were all coming up as 1.99 got some nice bras, men’s swim trunks, boys shorts and pjs, and a night gown. Awesome!

I guess I will be heading back tomorrow to do some price checking, lol. I was thinking of doing that while I was there but was in a hurry. Thank you Barb.

That happened at my store too but I price checked and they were all $1.99…the clerk said they were too short handed to go around and reprice everything but when I left they had put a sign on each rack that said $1.99 then were hanging things on that but not changing the price. The only problem with that is people put things back on the wrong wrack so you think it’s $1.99. The lady that checked me out was really nice though and I asked her to put back anything that wasn’t ringing up $1.99. I was able to get $326 worth of clothes for $34!

Anything that wasn’t ringing up 1.99 with a green tag the cashier adjusted the price for me but I had some items with pink tags ringing up at 1.99 so I’m not sure how it works exactly but I’m not gonna complain great deals!

Darn it! I was there yesterday and didn’t think to price check!! Guess I’ll be going back, too!

Is this at the Sears outlets too?

Notice was just given than our area is loosing another Sears. It’ll be closing around mid January. We loss one in April 2012. Probably will be lots of good deals for Xmas shoppers.

I was also at Sears today and nothing was marked 1.99 but there were signs up that said all green tag items were 1.99 and that’s what I was charged. Got a pair of jeans and 3 summer tops for total of 8.50. Awesome.

There was a little bit left in Ocean, NJ. I didn’t plan on even looking but the clearance just happened to be set up in a small area right by the door I went in. I spotted a Carter’s bathing suit in a 3t that I wanted at the jcpenney sale and wasn’t able to get in the size I needed. I got that and a tank top for 1.99 each. Most of the 1.99 was the Tough skins brand and a little bit of Carter’s. They had a couple more racks at higher prices..Disney tshirts were 7.99. I only looked at the kids clothes..

My stores was wiped out…found maybe 5 items. On Sears.com they have alot of stuff priced at 2.99 which is still pretty good!

  8. Tasia

My local Sears had lots of $1.99 green tag items today. I bought 3 pairs of shorts for my son for next summer. I got them completely FREE by using my Shop Your Way Rewards points!!!

Not a lot at the Redding CA. store last night…. It *did* look like they will be marking down more in the near future.

Was able to get tons of sleeveless moisture wicking tanks and matching shirts for $2 each for boys. And lots of carters baby tops and leggings.

Check your email inbox from around Oct 6th from either shopyourway or sears… I got an email spend $25 in points and earn $20 in points. I bought these 1.99 clearance items and got $20 to spend.

Also, they’ve sent me another couple emails this month with online only coupons to load to account spend $20 get 10 off. I plan on checking back at the store to see if they marked down more stuff if not I can use two of those emailed coupons and get $40 worth of stuff pretty cheap or free from online.

I’m not a “special” customer or anything so I’m pretty sure other shopyourway members got these emails too. Just search in your inbox beginning in October from sears.

    • Jac

I got the same thing. Great deal!

      • barb

Thanks for the tip got 10 back when you spend 20! How does it work? Do I just load it to my account and that’s it or does the cashier need to scan the coupon? TIA!

I went Thursday and got a whole bunch of things – nice bras, swimsuits, boys shorts and girls shirts. Not bad considering I’d spend more on one swimsuit πŸ™‚ .

On a side note, I tried Dollar General that same day and got some summer swim stuff on the cheap! Thanks for the heads up! My husband was like “why are you buying summer stuff when it’s October”. He’ll just never understand the life of a couponer LOL

    • Rosie

LOVE LOVE LOVE your last 2 sentences! I think we can all relate to that! LOL

    • janice

I like your statement, too! πŸ™‚ My husband is actually the better couponer out of the both of us

    • Happymama

Thanks ladies! Janice, I’m impressed your hubby is a great couponer…you go girl! I remember when I was a kid, my siblings and I would dig through the clearance bins with mom so it’s in our blood to save money. Now my oldest tells me when he finds clearance when he’s with his friends – and digs right in lol. If we can just get dad on board…LOL.

Thanks Collin for all you do πŸ™‚
