Hip2Savers!! I would love if you would share this story with people who may be interested in helping a very loving family.My sister got pregnant in December and found out about 5 months later that her baby had Arthrogryposis and would likely not survive. She chose life and now sweet baby Elliot is a month and a half old [praise God!] and the family is struggling big time. Elliot was born with deformities in both arms and legs. His wrists, elbows, ankles, and knees do not bend at all, he has to have a feeding tube because Arthrogryposis babies are born with high pallets which cause the milk to get into the airways. The stress of a new born baby is enough for a momma to bare; on top of that there is the medical expenses, the 3-4x a week doctor/specialists visits, his 43 day NICU bill, surgery bills, minimal bonding, constant pumping, difficulty with diaper changes, difficulties with clothes fitting right [my mother has had to modify his clothing]. Her husband has lost lots of work hours due to travelling to the hospital & my sister is on extended maternity leave. My sister has always went above and beyond. She teaches in the public school systems and has always did so much for the kids; secret santa, food drives, personal counsel/guidance, you name it. My sister is struggling with the stress of all of this and I would love to somehow lighten their load so they can totally focus on the joy and delight of their baby boy Elliot and the precious gift he is straight from our heavenly Father.
