    • Lissa

It says dogs only in small print

Cute idea. Maybe you with cats can make one at home? If you have play dough, it dries pretty well and it’s cheap πŸ™‚

Thanks for the reminder. I really wanted to do this for our dogs. In a few weeks they’ll start their Christmas with Santa photos too. Those cost money but it gets donated to local shelters. (as you can tell, we don’t have any kids yet, so dog events are our thing)

I made a bunch of paw print ornaments 2 years ago of the family cat. It is actually quite easy to do. The hardest part is getting your furry friend to press their paw in the soft clay, but you can always redo it over and over again if you don’t get the results you like. I suggest using a polymer clay called “Pluffy”. It’s sold at Michaels, Joann Fabrics, and pretty much all craft stores. It’s softer than regular clay and after it bakes it feels light and airy. I think it’s $4 for a package which can easily make 4 or 5 paw prints. πŸ™‚

I bought a ton of these kits last year after Christmas – Walmart had them for less than $1 – they are great for kids and pets

From the list it looks like almost all their stores? Sad!!

I guess we were one of the lucky ones. Did get one but only one. We have 3 dogs and when we got there they told us it was one/house. It’s OK but because of the snow the store was empty. They said they didn’t want to run out of them. Ok empty store=low demand. We even offered to purchase the other two but we were told that they weren’t for sale. It was a waste of time!

My store just handed out the kits for us to do at home since they were shorted staffed. Glad I called first so I didn’t have to bring my dog.

My store canceled the event but gave us the tins to go home and do it ourself…but no stands. They seemed clueless about the stand..smh
