Magazines.com: Request FREE $8 Check (Check Inbox)
If you are signed up to receive Magazines.com emails, check your Inbox for an email with the Subject Line “$8 Gift Card For You- Start Your Holiday Shopping!” from the email address no-reply@magazines.com. Make sure to look in your trash and spam folders as you may have trashed this email thinking it was junk.
If you did receive this email, it will provide you with a unique gift card code to score a $8 discount on your next magazine purchase! Even sweeter, the fine print at the bottom of the email states “Your promotional code has cash value”. This means that you can actually request a check in the mail! Just head on over here, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form with your mailing info and exclusive gift card number. An $8 check will then be mailed to the address you provide within 4-6 weeks.

I received two checks from similar promotions a couple of years ago. I’ve continued to receive e-mails from them, but no more of these “free money” promotions until last week and this week. Seems too good to be true but it’s not!
