To use these offers by the expiration date, you would probably need to use the app. They do offer a physical card (NOT a debit/credit card in the traditional sense) that is linked to your Paypal account, but I think it takes a couple of weeks to arrive after you request it.
On another note, I really like these offers! Since they come from Paypal (not the retailer) you can combine them with store offers/coupons. In the past I have used $ off Home Depot coupons with Paypal offers to get some sweet deals.

how to use paypal, with a card you have or the app on phone?
I have used both. PayPal as an option on the credit card machine at the store with my phone and PIN number and I also have a paypal card that I can swipe that is linked to my credit card, not bank card.
i wonder if you can use the paypal that links to amex (which offers spend $75 get back $15 for toyrus.com) and get both $5 from paypal and $15 from amex

The stores that now offer paypal as a payment option come up on the credit card machine as an option. You just hit the paypal button and it asks for your phone number and your Pin (you have to set up your paypal account first for “in-store shopping”). We have used it several times at Academy to use our billmelater account for no interest. Although both times we tried to use it on black Friday at ToysRUs and at Academy, their system wasn’t working right and it wouldn’t go through 🙁 However we have used it several times over the past year no problem.
Can you use this with the $5 giftcard from gfyt.com that was posted about a few days ago. It’s in Google wallet.
