just to let you guys know if you are doing the diapers/formula deals or buying baby stuff in general… target is giving get $10 giftcard wyb $50 of baby stuff coupons when you print one of their baby registries. either use yours or search for one. it works with the deal for getting giftcard wyb 2 diapers or 3 formulas so you would get two giftcards back.

I went yesterday and was surprised every deal I wanted to get was actually in stock! I did the Plum Organics, Chips Should Taste This Good, Colgate Optic toothpaste, Oxi Clean, Quilted Northern, Playtex. I had $2/1 Oxi Clean laundry coupons that I used on the smaller sized liquid that were priced at $8.99.

I’m not sure what happened but this deal didn’t work out for me. I bough 4 diapers, 4 wipes, used 4 – $2 off Mfg coupons for the diapers, 4 $0.50 coupons for the wipes, 4 $2 off Target coupons when you buy diapers and wipes and the cartwheel coupons. I did them in one transaction so maybe that caused a problem but all that would come off was the Target coupons, 1 $2 off mfg coupon for the diapers, $1 $0.50 mfg coupon for the wet wipes and only the wet wipes cartwheel came off. I went to the service desk and she was actually very patronizing to me. She said that because the Target coupon was for the diapers and wipes together that made it so I could only use the Target coupon and not the manufacture coupons as well. She didn’t make sense. She then basically told me that Target is the best place to get the best deal and it’s nice of Target to let us couponers use so many different ways to save but to be happy with what I got and that it wouldn’t really be fair to make money off of Target. I told her I wasn’t making money off Target but the difference in money was a lot to me. (Mind you it was basically $11 difference). I told her then that I didn’t want the deal and she then said that the line was long and she really didn’t want to return my stuff and that she would give me some Target coupons to basically try to appease me. She gave me $6 in coupons to use on anything at Target. I was nice to her but irritated at how she was treating me. What did I do wrong with the coupons. She kept telling me that I miss understood the coupon policy. I don’t understand. Can someone explain it to me?
ugh – this sounds like my RiteAid … I have almost given up shopping there because this is how they act EVERY TIME! The Target diaper coupons are usually a limit of 1 so maybe that was it, but either way you didn’t deserve to be spoken to that way! Don’t give up – it’s worth the battle with the ignorant to save money for your family 🙂
At Target tonight I had a couple surprises. The Motts applesauce 6 pack rang up 2.14, although there was a sign on the shelf that said 3/$5, so the cashier did make the adjustment for me, this maybe just a mistake at this store, but if you are buying a lot like me (7 because I had so many $1/1 Motts coupons, thank you Collin !) you might want to make sure they ring up correctly. I also tried the Goldfish deal that was posted, and although they rang up $1.99 (as was posted on the shelf) they did not trigger a $5 GC, nor was that deal posted on the shelf, so I did not ask the cashier to fix it. 🙁 Anyone else have trouble with this?
I had the same problem with the Mott’s. I had to make a 2nd trip to get the correct price. It was a week into the sale and they still didn’t correct the price on their computer. Lately I have been splitting up my orders, I do sometimes 3 transactions. This way I can keep track of my prices easier when I am using so many coupons. I have started making notes on my list as to what each value of my coupon is for each product. I will also count my coupons so I can add them up quickly on my receipt to see if I have been given the proper credit. It is a lot of work, but 75% of the time they have made an error and I am owed money back. I have learned to check my receipt if I have time before I leave, they will need to go back to the drawer and pull the coupons. I also keep my gift cards when they are empty. Makes it much easier to return the items and get the proper credit adjustment when an error has occured with my purchase. I am thinking I need to carry an insulated bag, my frozen has been melting during the time it takes for them to fix errors on my receipts 🙁

my store didn’t have the Colgate deal here in Utah, but they did have the Colgate optic white 2 pack for $3.48, so, $1.48 after the coupon for 2 isn’t bad, right?
and they have the Dove deodorant at $2.44 and there is a $2 off coupon in the RP 02/08, so .44 c after coupon and they have a free travel size on it! SCORE!
