Where can I find this coupon ? Thanks
Hi Collin! Were the pictures taken at the Walmart here in Boise?
Thanks!
Yep… it sure was! π
I really-really wonder WHY would companies allow this type of coupons, making things free? Is this a marketing employee mistake? Or are they just generous? Or perhaps Playtex filed their taxes and ended up having extra money they wanted to give away? ))) Very interesting.
I think most businesses keep the coupons and turn them into either the companies for partial money back or can ride them off when they file their taxes.
I think these bottles need the disposable liners, so even if the bottle is free they will get you money by you buying the refill liners for months to come.
No the vent ones don’t need the liners. If you put the liners in there the bottom doesn’t fit right.
By give out freebies with the coupons there giving consumers an opportunity to try a product they might not buy. The infant/toddler retail market is loading with products. Most parents will by what’s trending, what’s worked for their friends/family. You want to trust the brand/product before buying it for your baby or recommending it to another parent.
The VentAire bottles actually don’t need liners. They might make a bottle that DOES need them, but that one definitely doesn’t. Hth! π
sorry for the confusion, I meant the nurser bottles that the coupon is also good for (that’s the one I got with it) it was $4.99 at my target
The companies set aside a budget for coupons. They do the same for television commercials, & magazine ads… it’s a marketing strategy. All of those methods I mentioned above cost the company money, but their intent is to rope people in to become a loyal customer after they try their product. And then make lots of money off of them! π Trust me, a company this large is not losing any money with this high dollar coupon. Its all part of careful planning by the “higher-ups” at Playtex. Hope all that makes sense!
Well said. As cheap as I am, I have a few splurge items and I’m sure I found them by using a high value coupon the first time! That tactic works π
Our Walmart never has enough in stock. So frustrating
That is one of the reasons why I totally dislike shopping at the Walmart near my house. They are always out of stock and everything it’s unorganized including the food!
Has anyone used playtex bottles for newborns? What kind was your favorite?
We first used the Madela bottle that came with my breast pump- the flow was way too fast and she would down 3-4 oz in about 7 minutes…and spit it all up. She is now 7 weeks old and we have been using the Playtex Ventaire for the last several weeks when we give a bottle. It doesn’t require a liner, and it slows her down significantly. She still spits up, but not as much as before. All of the Playtex nipples fit on all their bottles, so you can change to a different one if needed but the slow flow has been working for our little one!
Alli…the playtex ventaire bottles are great for newborns. I used them for my daughter and now my one month old son. They have a slow nipple and are easy to clean plus reduces the amount of air that causes spit ups and gas. I do not buy the drop ins just the regular bottles for 0-3 months.
We use the Playtex VentAire and have loved them for my daughter since she was a newborn. We tried Dr. Browns but she dribbled them everywhere. She eats really neatly with the Playtex and we haven’t had any issues with gas. Highly recommend!
I used these with my youngest son and LOVED them! He had severe reflux and these bottles worked best for him. Highly recommend. The slow flow nipples are great.
Thanks everyone! It’s so confusing choosing a bottle. We are expecting and I have read so many reviews. I will buy some ventaire and try them.
My first two used the playtex drop ins from newborn and up. My twins who are the youngest wouldn’t take to the playtex nipple, so they’re using Dr. Brown’s. The drop ins are wonderful because they’re disposable, I have friends and family that love the ventaire and we have no complaints about the Dr. Brown’s (I was able to find the best price for them on Amazon). There’s a lot of great products out there a lot of what you use will depend on your child too π
Yay! Mine were clearanced to $3.50. Thanks for letting us know. π
