I did this deal yesterday. My store was all sold out of the huggies wipes. So I went to the travel section and bought 2 packs of the 32 count wipes for $1.47 each. The Target mobile $2.50/2 worked on these also.

I think these catalinas work like walgreens register rewards. You have to get a filler in order to use them. I made that mistake my first trip. If anything, use the catalina as your first coupon, following the $10/50 registry gc coupon
Catalina is a MNFCT Q in their system so if you already have a mnfct q for each item it rejects it
What if the baby registry doesn’t have diapers on it and I wanna do the huggies deal? Would that still work? Since at the end it stated cashier has to select the items that I purchased on the registry…
They don’t scan the registry barcode. Just the coupon barcode for the gift card. I didn’t have diapers on my registry and it worked fine.

Can someone confirm that the $10 gc for $50 bang purchase registry is always the same barcode? I opened a different registry (lots of cousins having babies) on a different computer and it’s the same barcode I had already printed before. Are they all exactly the same bar code?

So I bought 2 snugglers and 2 travel size wipes (our store was cleaned out of the regular wipes) and got a $5 Catalina both times that I did it. Still a great deal, but I sure wish I could figure this Catalina out because $7 or $10 would sure be nice. It seems so random. Planning on running it one more time tomorrow if there’s still any Snugglers left. I didn’t realize they made snugglers in bigger sizes now so I’d love to do it a few more times if I had the coupons to do so.

I never had the thought to call catalina customer service. Great suggestion. I’m going to call tomorrow. I did the deal at target the other day and just bought 3 packs of wipes. It didn’t print one. However today I did the 2 boxes of huggies and 1 pack wipes and received 2 $5 catalina. Will call about the issue with the first transaction though!

Bought 1 box size 3 snugglers, 1 box size4 snugglers and a 32ct wipes. The cartwheel didn’t show for the diapers when scanned, only the wipes. And the Catalina didn’t print. 🙁 ( I bought just 2 32ct wipes the other day and I did get a$5 one. Then bought 3 32ct wipes the next day and did NOT get one. Sooo I officially can’t figure this catalina out lol)

If I purchase multiple items and need to return any of the items because they don’t fit or don’t need, how will the gift card work? Yes I bought size N with a gift card ($5 wyb 2) deal and a few months later I tried to exchange them for size 1. The system refused to allow it, unless I paid an extra $2.50 Because the gift card deal was no longer active. I felt like this was completely unfair because I was only exchanging the size. I argued that if I bought a shirt S and needed a L I would not have to pay the difference if the shirt was no longer on saLe. I did not have a reciept. They scanned my debit card and traced back the price. Crazy! My recommendation : do not attempt.
I loath this about exchanging diapers at Target and avoid if whenever I can! Drives me nuts! It’s just so stupid. I usually get around it by just not giving them a receipt or my card to look it up and asking for the value to be put on a gift card instead. They’ll give you the current price onto a gift card, so then I just repurchase the correct size with the gift card and it evens out. I’ve also insisted on them trying to put it in as a straight across exchange before and had that magically work after they first insisted I owed another $5 for the new size too. It’s just so dumb that they make it so hard to do in the first place. It’s one of the reasons I avoid couponing there, especially for diapers.

i just did this deal. i bought 2 size 3. i gave 2 $3 manufacture coupons, i used the $10 off $50 registry coupon, cartwheel and mobile. I only got 1 $10 giftcard for the registry and that was it! no catalina, no other giftcard for buying 2. wtf!
you need to touch that $50 mark or you won’t get the 2nd gift card. what i did was add in a pack of huggies wipes 1.97 or you can get one from the travel area and make it over their $50 mark. also be sure to hand your registry coupon first before other coupons!
Now I just say it was a gift especially baby Iteams that way u don’t need a receipt and u don’t loose the gift card value

Just FYI I tried doing this twice and each time the cashiers said they couldn’t take my registry coupon. The third time I was told the same thing and I told the cashier that I watched another customer (who is my friend) do it the day before and they let her. Apparently they are telling certain people yes and others no. I’m Asian and she’s Caucasian. My Asian sister in law was told she couldn’t use the registry coupon either earlier today.
What was their reasoning for not letting you use the registry coupon? Did you give them the registry coupon first before other coupons and make sure your order was over $50 before tax? (As in buy 2 boxes of diapers plus a bag of wipes or something else baby dept to put it over $50)
I handed it to them first and each time they said they couldn’t get me 2 $10 gc because it’s in their “policy”. I had 2 boxes of Littke movers and a pack of Pampers wipes which totaled $51.95. Which doesn’t make sense because within their personal care deal you can get $10 gc when you spend $40 and more gc with certain items that are having their own gc promo. They told my sister in law (different store, different day) that she couldn’t use the registry coupon and her $10 Catalina because corporate said “they could be fraudulent”. Even though it prints from their own Catalina machine!!
How dumb. Next time pull out the coupon policy and show them that it clearly stipulates right in the policy that you can use a category (baby dept) coupon on top of other deals and item specific coupons. And that no where in there policy does it state you can’t get 2 gift cards. Not that it will necessarily change things, Target just sucks for couponing and isn’t consistent at all in my experience, but it maybe could help.

I’m sorry that this happened to you, but I’m glad to know it wasn’t just me! (I’m Caucasian, btw). They wouldn’t let me do the registry deal because they said the $50 had to be met after coupons. I did have her scan the registry bar code first. When I handed her the coupons, she got out her walked & radioed the manager on duty. She spit the word “coupons” out like it was poison. The manager said I couldn’t do it. I tried to explain my perspective, but they weren’t having it. I just left without the diapers. I couldn’t find the specific wording in their coupon policy to show them. Does anyone know which point in the policy permits the use of this – reaching $50 before coupons instead of after? I pointed out the department coupon, but they said it’s different because it’s a gift card, not a dept coupon. I just stopped trying to explain and left without the deal. So frustrating!
I went and talked to the manager today at the Target I was honestly harassed at for my coupons. I explained to her I just need a valid reason besides no they couldn’t do it because of their policy regarding the 2 gift cards. She just scanned it and said it was fine. So as you said it just depends on who the cashier is. Just try another cashier and or store. My friend did another transaction today and her cashier didn’t even blink an eye with her registry coupon. It is very frustrating. I just told the manager I am honestly just trying to get a good deals on diapers for my 5 month old.

I have had those items on my registry since weeks ago when I bought diapers on their last diaper deal. They actually don’t even scan the registry barcode. The employees are just being ridiculous because they think we’re stealing from them. Which the manager even pointed out that they will receive the money back from the coupons. I just think there are people out they who are haters and can’t watch other people get a good deal 😊
Purchased 2 Huggies Wipes from travel aisle for 1.97 each, Target mobile 2.50/2 H. diapers or wipes did not deduct! They kept telling me each pack needed cost more than 2.50! Wth… they read the Q multiple times & didn’t understand the coupon… dumb!
I did the beauty deal. Cashier scanned all Qs(total went under $40), than scanned Target beauty mobile code. She said it may not work bc after Qs my total went under, but the cash register still prompted the $10 gc.
