   Please advise, trying to get one for hubby but they don’t state if they have uv protection, is it assumed they are since they are sunglasses or they are not? Thanks!

  I bought a pair of Coach sunglasses at a outlet store and they are awful in the sun. But I’m not sure about these.

  I worked at Sunglass Hut years ago & all the sunglasses have UV protection.. however the “fashion” sunglasses don’t have the darkest tint… I would get polarized ones if you can, that’s the best for your eyes; it blocks the glare. They are usually a lot more spendy but don’t waste your money on a pair that barely does much. Hope this helps!!

  If the lenses are polycarbonate, then they have UV protection by nature of the material itself. If they’re CR39(plastic) then they need to have a UV coating. Not all sunglasses have this. You also don’t have to spend a lot to find a pair of sunglasses that do. Wrap around style frames give the most protection, also, with UV protected lenses.
