  I have the blower and trimmer and love them. Battery life on them Is long enough for the whole yard and they are light weight. My 4 year old can use the blower but it’s still strong enough to blow grass clippings and leaves.

  Jane, we just bought the Black and Decker version of this battery operated trimmer. It was at Lowes with a 40 V battery trimmer and blower for about $100 ( I think ). I have no idea why we were messing with a gas/oil trimmer. We love ours. Not sure about this brand, but ours does the job for us — I wouldn’t use it on heavy trimming, but we are very pleased with ours. If you want an extra battery so as to keep an extra one charged all the time, they are pricy — an extra battery for ours was priced at $89 (fur real). Our one battery lasts us to trim our fairly big yard but it really all depends on the speed you set it at. Hope that helps.

   I purchased the Ryobi trimmer a few months ago and love it! We have always had the gas trimmers and they were constantly a pain to try to start, change the line, or something was always broke or leaking on it. The cordless trimmer works awesome for our yard! But yes, I wouldn’t it for heavy duty trimming, but for your typical yard work, it does a great job! Light weight too! We have an average size yard and the battery last the entire time with no lagging. I will never go back to a smelly, leaky gas trimmer ever again!
