Is there a limit to how many book covers you can buy?

  2. Amy

Are there any limits on notebooks? Is it after mail in rebate price?

  3. Rachel

Does Office Depot still have a higher allowed number on .01 items if you’re a teacher?
I know it used to be 30, but privileges like that seem to be slowly going away😕

    • Heather

Around our area (Baltimore, MD) they have been letting teachers get three times the limit, so if the limit is 3 then teachers can buy 9 at a time for the sale price.

      • alienna21

Mine only let 3… Even for teachers. They said they are offering the teacher appreciation days where teachers can use a 25% off regular priced items instead of allowing teachers to buy 9 of the items.

    • Kim

My GA store only allowed 3, even for teachers.

  4. Becky

So many great deals on things I want but don’t need! OH the troubles of being an office supply addict. Thanks, Colin!

    • Mia

Me, too. I want to go every week for the new deals. I can’t stop wanting to go.

  5. jill

Bummer. I had been waiting for 1 cent notebooks, but gave in and bought 6 for 50cents each YESTERDAY so that I could drop them off at open house. Oh well.

    • Thankship2save!

      Me too! Lol o well.

    • kelly

      Return them 🙂

  6. Bridget

For the mail in rebate items it states “all items limit three per household”. Does that mean three items total or three for each item?

    • Cait

I’m wondering the same thing. I would love to get 3 of each of the free mail in rebate items but the wording sounds like it may be 3 total from the selection, not 3 of each.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Bridget & Cait! The ad states “All items are limit 3 offers per household”. So, I am thinking that means you can snag 3 of each item. Hope that helps! 🙂

      • Teri

I just finished having an online chat with a rep on OfficeDepot.com and she confirmed that it is 3 of each item. 🙂

        • Sarah

Thanks! Was confused on that too.

  7. elaine

Can’s finf the scotch tape coupon….?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn…that coupon appears to be gone already. 🙁

  8. Kim

Does anyone know if I can use my ink recycling certificate for the items with rebates?

  9. Carla

Are the 1 cent deals with a minimum purchase of $5 or are they just flat-out 1 cent each?!

    • meli

      Its with min $5 purchase.

  10. Carla

Also, what grade do you need book covers? My mom used to use the paper grocery bags from the store and cover our books with that! We never bought actual ‘book covers’!

    • Leighann

We never needed book covers, growing up. I graduated high school in 1999 and not once did a teacher request a book cover. My oldest is 17 and now a Junior, and she has never needed a book cover, either. My middle child is in 1st grade, and we have also never been told she needed book covers. I’ve always gotten the feeling that book covers are pushed more to make a profit (even at 1c each!) than because teachers or schools require them.

      • Renae

I’ll be requiring my kids to have book covers this year as I have all new science texts (and at $92 a pop they have to last…) however I much prefer the old brown bag method over the stretchy ones that don’t really seem to do anything.

        • Carla

Good to know the brown bag method is better! Thanks!

  11. Stefanie

I’ve been waiting for a deal on Paper Pro staplers and they just haven’t had one this year!

  12. Beth

Is the mail in rebate like a check? Or is it credit back to the store? Thanks

    • Jessie scott

I would be curious to know what type of form they come in as well.

  13. Joanne

Anybody ever done a rebates with office depot? How do they work?

  14. jglenn2139

The receipt I received said rebate via check. Hope this helps;)

  15. Mb9826

I didn’t realize that OfficeMax/depot does not accept coupons. I called after going into the store and they confirmed that policy. I spent my morning organizing my coupons and bummed that I didn’t realize that ahead of time.

    • Becky

Mine has been taking coupons. He has to over ride them though so maybe he shouldn’t be. It was the same cashier I had last week that took them this week.

  16. Amy

The cashier told my husband that the labels are actually a money maker! They are on sale buy 2 get 1 free, and all 3 are eligible for the rebate. So spend $20, get back $30!

    • Ann

This is incorrect. The third set of labels is free, but it is NOT a $10 moneymaker. No mail-in rebate slip prints for the third set, unlike the other two sets. So you can only submit two sets if you purchase three. The best deal is to buy 4, that way one is free by way of the sale & 3 are free via rebate.

      • Suzana

I got 3 rebate forms for buying 3 and 1 did ring up free.

  17. Suzana

Just got back from OfficeMax. The rebate prints after your receipt so wait for it! I left the store and my cashier just threw all my rebate forms away cause they printed after I already walked out the door, so I had to go back in to ask for them. One rebate and duplicate of the receipt prints for each item. It says rebate will come as a Visa prepaid card. Does anyone know if we can send in all our rebate forms in 1 envelope? I have 12 items…. should I send in 12 rebate forms and 12 duplicate receipts in 1 envelope? TIA!

    • Sara

Good question. I’m wondering the same.

    • Joanne

I just finished talking to a rep online and they said 4 envelopes should be fine, one for each offer, and 1 form in each envelope.. so all the extra forms you just keep.
      Hope this helped!

      • Teri

So it is okay to get 3 of each item and not 3 total?? It isn’t really clear, and I’d hate to mail in 12 rebates and only get 3 back!

        • Teri

I just talked to an online rep and they confirmed that it was 3 of each item (so 12 total if you purchase 3 of each of the 4 items with rebates). 🙂

    • Becky

What did you end up paying for all 12 items? I couldn’t tell if the address labels are $10 and you submit a $10 rebate or if they are $2.99. I don’t need any of it but I hate to miss a good deal!

      • Suzana

I also got the penny deals and it ended up being $75 plus tax, so about $80 total. I am hoping the rebate works out…

  18. Martha Garcia

I can’t seem to find the form for the rebate. The “mail-in savings form. Does anyone know the url of where I get it?

  19. mamasweetpea08

anyone knows if the rebate form mentions anything about form of payment and qualification for the rebates? I just want to make sure that I will receive the full rebate amount if I use a merchandise credit in store. Thanks.

  20. CourtneyAmanda

My store took a stack of coupons today. It was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen, in regard to Qs. She added them all up on a little calculator, told me the total, $9.15, took that off my total and then waded them up and threw them away. : / I was thinking, oh good, my rebate items will be money makers, but nope, the register spreads the coupon total over each item, so I’m sure my rebate will be exactly what I paid.

  21. Joanne

Anybody know if its possible to track the rebate?

  22. Mai

Is the $5 minimum with coupons or no coupons? Example, buy 2 pk of sharpies $6 total but use two .75 off making them $4.50. Can it still be counted as $5 minimum? Can’t find the answer anywhere…

  23. Magen

I am curious… On the rebate form it states “all qualified items must be listed on the same receipt.” The limit is 3 of each per household. I bought 3 but each at different times so I have 3 receipts. Will I get the rebate for all 3 even though they are not on one receipt?
