My Target here in Corpus Christi told me that the Glad storage containers didn’t apply towards this promotion even though it was advertised right over the storage containers. I let management know and they allowed me to use the promotion anyway, but they told me that those weren’t supposed to be used towards the $50 total.
This past Sunday when I went to Target I was told that in the future I can only buy one set of items that are on sale and generate a gift card. Example: I was buying 6 boxes of tampons, using 3 bogo coupons, and going to receive 2 gift cards back. Manager and cashier told me they were going to start limiting to only 3 boxes. Anyone else run into this??? Seems ridiculous to me to refuse to sell products because I’m getting too good of a deal!
Haven’t heard this. However, did see a plaque, not sure if it was new or what, at the register basically saying they have the right to limit quantities.
I had the same issue couple of months ago, because the manager (happened to be ringing me up that day) noticed that I was getting a gift card which was going to make the items free decided to only take one coupon, she said I could do separate transactions and use a coupon on each item, just not 3 coupons at once, after trying to explain to her that the one per transaction and one per purchase were two different things and tried showing her the Target coupon policy, she just wasn’t having it. So I left without buying the items and when I called customer service they told me that a store can simply just refuse to take a coupon and that there was nothing that can be done about it…I was really upset to say the least.
Yeah, target customer service disappointed me too. I was truly surprised at their ambivalence to the store’s decision. Fortunately, I just went to another cashier at another time of the day! 😌
Ridiculous that they won’t honor their own corporate coupon policy. Technically speaking, the policy is there as a contract of sorts between the store and the customer. It’s a shame really.
I shop at Target a lot and they make me scan my cartwheel and text offers last. And they scan my coupons first. Is their a specific order to scan these? And is there a link so I can print off to take to the store to show them if it’s a discrepancy? Thanks
There is no specific order. I personally prefer to give all paper coupons first, then mobile offers, then CW. But sometimes cashiers will see my phone and want to scan CW first. But it really doesn’t matter. CW will always deduct after any store coupons. So even if they scan CW first, the register will figure out the discount based on the item total after any store coupons.
Originally, CW froze the system if not scanned last, some cashiers may still think that. It doesn’t matter what order it’s scanned, the system will put everything in the correct order.
If you go through Target.com, there is a temporary price cut on Scott 1000, 15 roll ($9.99) and 24 roll ($15.99) packs. BUT, the 24 roll pack is ALSO an EXTRA 10% off if you choose in store pickup. I got 3, 24 roll packs (72 rolls), plus a 150 pack of Ziploc Sandwich bags, which are also extra 10% off with in store pickup, for $34.16 including tax, $15 off, and 5% Red card discount. ALSO, if you go through ebates, you get another 2% cash back!
I can’t print any of these coupons and some reviews say your computer can get a virus. How true is this.
I have been printing coupons and using coupons.com among lots of other sites since 2009. I have never once gotten a virus. The only problem I’ve ever run into is that libraries will not allow you to install the coupon printing software onto their computers to print the coupons (YMMV; I worked at a library and we had a very strict “no software installation” policy, and it didn’t matter what software it was. If we caught a patron trying to download/install software on the computer, that was an instant ban for life from the entire library system.)
BTW, after printing these coupons all these years and using them, I have to say that I have easily saved at least $1,000, and that doesn’t include the items I’ve been able to get for free outright, or the money I’ve made from certain deals. In fact, I almost never get newspapers and rely almost entirely on printable coupons and digital coupons for the stores that will accept them. Printing coupons is worth it.

However, I noticed that there was a mistake on the L’Oreal Ever Pure/Creme deal. The subtotal was $11.97 pre tax and after gift card it was $6.97 plus tax. So each item was about $2.33 plus tax.
