I’m a Shop Your Way member, and I just received an email with $13 worth of free points to spend on a clothing purchase in store or online. It expires in five days. Just wanted to give a heads up!
Kmart always is giving me free points. I just received $20 if you spend $20 and now I received this email for $14 in points to spend on Kid’s Apparel, valid through 11/25!
I logged into my Shop Your Way Rewards account earlier and I had Surprise Points for $20 off any $25 purchase! Woohoo! Just thought I’d share in case anyone else has these awesome surprise points they didn’t know about. 🙂
I signed into my Shop Your Way account and looked at the “messages.” I saw that if I downloaded the Sears app onto my phone, I could receive $5 in surprise points on a purchase of $15+. Points expire November 23.

and i have 5 dollars worth of points from before
so i just purchased my daughter boots, leggings, two long sleeve shirts, three pack of gloves, and a pair of socks
for my son i got jeans, button up shirt with a pair of jeans. i spent 1.90 for all of this oop.

I love their Shop Your Way, I try to visit their site everyday. Today I was fortunate to receive 13 off of 13 at Kmart Childrens clothing and I scored 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for 64 cents (xmas gift for a child) I also got 12 off 12 at Sears and scored Bongo Jeans and 3 pairs of socks for 1.03 for me 🙂

I got $10 off $10 Kmart Kid’s clothing, using it for pajamas for a Christmas Angel I adopted. Also got $11 off $11 Sears clothing. Not sure what I’ll do with those yet. I may get myself something.
How is everyone getting surprise points from Kmart and Sears? I only got $13 from Kmart.
This is the first time I have checked for Surprise points, received $13.00. I am so Frustrated, I spend over an hour selecting items and when I was going to check out they tell me it’s no longer available. Finally picked some onesies that were $13.00, but since I had other points in my account. I wanted to make sure I used my surprise points only. Well after calling Shop Your Way customer service and being transfer to K-mart to help me with my order. Being placed on hold (no kidding) 8 times so she can ask questions and also call SYW, she could not tell me if my surprise point would work. After 2 hour and a half, no one could help me. Can any one give me help. I do not want to use my own points just the Surprise one, how can I do it? Thank You, for helping.
I’ve always noticed that surprise points are used first, at least for me.
When you select which item you want you can go all the way upto redeem points it should say “includes “13 or whatever amount” surprise points” if it says that then it’s using that amount of suprise points and the remaining total is either your points of whatever method you choose. If you don’t get the message your item didn’t qualify for the points. You can also call shop your way tell them the points are not working and your going to use the points and if the points come off from your own base points they can credit it back to you after you make the purchase and see the item was eligible they can fix it for you so call SYW not Kmart
The same happened to me, Patty. I had $12 at Kmart on kids clothes. After finding what I wanted, nothing applied to my surpise points and then my laptop died lol. I realized the points are no longer on my acct and that’s strange. I’m going to contact syw and see what they say.
Anyway, to answer your question….when you have bonus and surprise points and you only want to use surprise pts, at checkout you should proceed to checkout. Continue to the next screen, on the left hand screen you’ll see “Apply Shop Your Way points or gift cards” and under that, click “points details”. You should see the breakdown there. It’ll say “you can redeem $ in surprise points and $ in member points”. Hope this helps!
I have 3 off 3 for toys at Kmart. I can’t use them… Is there anyway to give them to another hip2saver?

I went into my SYW account earlier today and had $14 off $14 kids clothing purchase and went back on now to order and they were gone??? They didn’t expire… Has this happened to anyone else?

I had $11.00 off $11.00 women’s clothing, but this morning that has disappeared. The expiration date was 11/25 so I have no idea why these surprise points are no longer in my account.
Donna, mine did the same thing. I had $10 off $10 in men’s and was going to use it this morning, but now it’s gone! A forum I follow had several other people post that their clothing points disappeared as well. 😛

Collin, you are the best in the whole wide world! I had $25 off $25 at Sears so I got my Frozen obsessed toddler a Frozen bathrobe, Frozen sweatpants and Frozen t-shirt for $1.53! I also had $13 off $13 for kids clothes at Kmart so I got her snow pants and winter gloves for $2.56. Lastly, I had $10 off $10 on Kmart shoes so I got her Frozen winter boots and a pair of rain boots for myself. With the BOGO $1 shoe offer that ends today, it came to $20.99 out of pocket but somehow I earned $20.21 in Shop Your Way Points! We are expecting our second child in January so to save on winter essentials and have gifts she’ll love under the tree for practically free couldn’t have been better timed. Hope you and your family have a very Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for all that you do for my family!
I have $14 in points to use and i’m adding “redeem points” items to my cart but its still not letting me use all my points. Never more than 7.50….anyone else having this issue?
I just scored a wii remote with nunchuk, 5 pairs of boy ski gloves and a stud finder (from sears) for $35. The remote alone with tax was $32. Every little bit makes shopping for gifts better.

Today Morning I go to K-Mart and the points have vanished from my account. Any idea if it could be resolved by calling SYW or K-Mart? I have had very horrible experiences with their phone support in the past and so would not want to deal with them again…

I was having trouble using my points it wasn’t giving me credit for them so I emailed syw and they fixed it. Great timing my son’s school is doing a charity pajama drive in place of Christmas gifts. Picked up 3 pair.
I can’t seem to get my $17 in surprise points to work on anything. I click use now and it brings up some items, but says at the top: You have $17.00 in Surprise Points to use on some of the products below. Learn more However, when I pick random things, the points do not show up. This is what it says: Sears Clothing 17,000 ($17.00) Spend $17 or more on qualifying purchase. Items sold by Sears.ExcludesLands’ End, all coupons and other surprise points. Cannot be combined with associate discount for any in-store purchase or Family & Friends discount. November 25, 2015
How does this work? I got the email, but none of the clothes I try to add to my cart actually make the points appear?
Is there a way to narrow down the search so it will only include items that qualify for surprise points redemption? I’ve been trying for an hour to use my points and nothing qualifies!
I find the restrictions on most of the offers from shop your way make it almost impossible to actually make use of your surprise points. I’ve never gone into Kmart and actually have the surprise points work. Definitely annoying, but when I got home and called Shop your way customer service, they did see i had been at the store and tried and she switched them to regular points so call if you are frustrated!
