I would personally hold off if you were thinking about making a purchase. Land’s End had 30% off your entire purchase and 50% off outerwear last the weekend. They also regularly offer 25% off your entire purchase. So wait and buy a few things so you can get free shipping. =)

Agreed. They want to charge me $8 shipping for a backpack. I’m going to wait for 30% off and then go for the free shipping.

I need a new backpack for my kindergartner, are they good or should I go with a Jansport?

I had always bought LE backpacks until I found a deal one day on Pottery Barn and ordered some of theirs. After only a few months, the water bottle pockets on the PB backpacks got holes in them and were useless. We’re back to LE backpacks from here on out! Won’t buy anything else!

We have had excellent experiences with both Land’s End and LL Bean backpacks. My rough and tumble son used the small Land’s End bag for 3 years (from age 4-6) before out growing it and he’s on year 3 of his LL Bean and no issues. They have held up way better then my own High Sierra backpack. The only other bags I would consider for my kids is Jansport, I still have mine from middle and high school and it’s fully intact.

My son’s both got a new backpack for this school year, my youngest got a LE backpack, my older son wanted a backpack with his favorite sports team on it so he got one from somewhere else. The LE backpack still looks brand new, the sports team backpack will have to be replaced before the school year ends I believe, it is already wearing out on the bottom and the zipper is getting stuck. Nothing but LE backpacks for us from now on.

30% off sale items today with code on front page of LE. We only buy LE or LL bean backpacks, love that they’re sturdy, made to last & guaranteed
