ToysRUs/BabiesRUs Great Trade-In Event: 25% Off Baby Gear When You Trade in Old Gear
Starting today, January 29th, RewardsRUs members can head over to your local ToysRUs or BabiesRUs for the Great Trade-In Event which runs through February 29th (if you’re not a member, the promotion will start February 1st). For each used gear or furniture item that you trade in, you will snag a 25% off discount on select product categories from participating manufacturers OR get 30% off when you use your “R” Us Credit Card.
Keep in mind that you can trade in these used items regardless of whether you purchased the item from a ToysRUs/BabiesRUs store and you do NOT need a receipt to trade-in a used item. You can trade in multiple items during the program and you will receive savings for each item traded in. However, you may only use one savings coupon per each new item purchased. I know they’ll take expired car seats so why not a broken one?
No, I took a broken item and still got a coupon. Anyway they throw all traded gear to the trash so it shouldn’t matter hth
Why would they throw them away? Could they donate them to those who are in need?
They told me they send them back to mfr or dispose properly.
Car seats should not be reused. You wouldn’t know the history of it, like if it had been in an accident. So they have to dispose of them. Can’t be donated.
LOL, checkout the Babies r Us Facebook page during this event. There’s usually pictures taken by customers of all the car seats in a pile next to the dumpsters.

I traded some items today and coupon print says not available on sale or clearance items.

We were in a minor accident so the insurance company paid for all new carseats. So I had to cut the straps on the old seats to ensure they could not be used. I was about to throw them away but luckily I took them to trade in and got my coupons which I will be using for new baby gear for our coming baby.

If you need new gear and don’t have a seat/other gear to trade in I see TONS of posts about this on local moms groups I’m in on facebook- lots of people are happy to pass on their expired or almost expired seat so someone can get the discount!
I had a friend go to a thrift store. She bought a carseat there for $5. Traded it in and saved over $100 on her new stroller

It has to be a new item from one of the same categories as the trade in list.

I just got a graco 4ever for $178 tonight I signed up for their in store card and saved the 30% for using the card and then the 15% for signing up so I save $122
I was just going to post the same. Employees told me to open a credit card when I was ready to buy the items I wanted because we would get 30% off per the coupon plus an additional 15% for being approved for the credit card and purchasing the items on it. FYI the 15% only good on the day you open the ccard
