UPDATE: Check out this helpful comment left by reader, Emily:
I work at Michaels so I wanted to let you know that you can use the 40% off one item, plus the 20% off coupon in conjunction for the best savings. Michaels has gotten stricter in their coupon policy, but this is still allowed. Also, they give 15% off for military, 15% off for teachers, and 10% off for seniors. You can only use one total % off though, so obviously you want to use the higher amount. Happy shopping!

Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing! However, what if the cashier says stacking a set of a 40% and 20% coupon isn’t allowed? Is there some sort of coupon policy link to reference that? TIA!!
Michaels in NY does not permit using both 🙁
I tried today to stack the coupons and they would not let me.
They told me I had to have that number of items. So if I wanted to use the 40 and the 20, I had to have at least 2 items.
