When you have such as comcast or Verizon for internet, do you rent the modem or use your own? If you use yours what kind and brand name do you use? I really need help:)))

I work for Comcast, this modem on sale would be compatible with us. You have to get your own wireless router if you want wifi service. Otherwise if you rent from Comcast, you can get the wireless gateway modem. It’s between $8-$10 a month depending on your market. FYI, if you have phone service with Comcast, this modem will not work.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Margarito, no one at Comcast can help me regarding the best modem to purchase. Are you able to recommend a good modem with router for high speed? Preferably an all in one. Pcosta0913@gmail.com

Most of the modems we can purchase won’t work with Comcast & Wow phone service as they are VOIP. I had to return mine as well once Wow explained the reasoning to me. Too bad, I’m tired of paying a rental fee but still want a landline.

I rent my modem from WOW! Cable and they gave me an Arris modem to use.

Margarito, will this modem be good for 75mbs?

    • Margarito

Yes, this modem supports speeds up to 172 Mbps

This is a terrible deal, particularly for a refurbished unit.

no this is a good deal. i bought this 33 days ago for 50$ shipped. This is so much better.

    • Josie

      No you didn’t.

        ??

This is categorized as End-of-Life by Comcast, meaning that if there’s any problems, they’ll recommend you get a new one and not provide support until you do. It will still work though. My modem currently is now EOL and I get calls and emails from them ALL the time recommending I upgrade my modem because something about their service has changed which mean I’m getting slower internet speeds than I could be if I upgraded to a newer modem.
