Wow thanks im a florida resident with a preschool pass for my son, but have not taken him since i didnt want to pay $80 for myself to get in regardless of him getting in free. $40 a piece for me and the hubby doesnt sound nearly as bad! Great deal!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! You’re so welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • TBrown

Since you’re a Florida resident you could pay the $80 and get the “Fun Card”. You can take him all year through December 31st rather than just a one time deal. Also, if you purchase annual passes through April 24th you get Aquatica for free!! They have the flex pay too. I love Sea World. Just thought I’d share. Enjoy whichever you choose. Your little boy will have so much fun!!

    • april

Do u know if I can still get preschool pass? I didn’t get it this year cause Busch Gardens wasn’t included

  2. amy

I agree its so terribly sad how these animals are treated. its like a person living in one bedroom for the rest of their life and never leaving it. the animals are so depressed and I dont see how people support this place. its like if the aliens came and captured us from earth and put us in a glass room and showed us off to the other aliens and made us to tricks and we never got to leave. its so barbaric.

  3. Rita

You better release every single fish in every single fish bowl all over the world then. How is it any different.

    • Nicole

its different because orcas are one of the most social creatures on this planet with complex family systems and languages, thats how, and no i’m not buying into propaganda i actually study animal behavior, go read a book. SeaWorld may have brought awareness to issues originally, but as we discover more about the complexity and intelligence of animals we need to evolve our treatment of them as well.

    • M

When the animals get anywhere near their life expectancy in captivity like sea world that they do in real life, then I will believe that they are rescuing them. Also, rehabilitation has connotations that they will be released. Sea world has only stuck them in tiny tanks, never released them.

You cannot compare highly social highly intelligent animals who are used to traveling thousands of miles a day and stuck in a tiny tank, to fish in bowls or a zoo. Or if you do, please realize that if they are fish in bowls they shouldn’t be.

If you don’t care, then YOU move on and post somewher else. go visit the “happy” creatures of sea world.

Why do you think they’re giving away free tickets? They’re hurting because people are finding out that what they do is inhumane.

And the peta comment is immature. That’s like saying hey take your morals somewhere else. No thanks.

When you know better, do better.

      • Leighann

Legoland does the same/similar promotion…. But and adult ticket get a kids free. Universal gives 3 free months on annual pass with a promo code. Etc etc…. sea world has offered this same promo many many times in the past. And why are you getting mad at people with a different opinion than yours. We’re just discussing.

        • M

Your comment makes no sense. Clearly people are arguing about the mistreatment of animals. Does legoland capture wild animals?? No? Then that’s why it’s not the same.

          • Leighann

My comment makes perfect sense in response to your comment above saying “why do you think they are giving away free tickets”. My point is exactly as you just said… You are right…. Legoland does not have animals, neither does universal …. That’s my point. And they have promos just like sea world is doing here. That is why your comment about sea world giving away free tickets due to all this “backlash” in the news is incorrect.

  4. Ailine

    Boycott!!!

    • Rebe

I came to the comments to see how else was concerned about animal suffering and abuse for human entertainment. I am glad I am not alone.

  5. Katie D.

We should also get rid of every zoo then. You have to give them a little credit. They take in lots and lots of injured animals and rehabilitate them.

  6. Kim

Watch Blackfish on Netflix…was pretty eye opening and very sad.

  7. Joy

Search “Taiji Japan Dolphin Hunt” if you would like to see where the dolphins performing at shows around the world come from. Also see the movies “Blackfish” and “The Cove”. What is happening here is much different than fish in bowls.

    • Jennifer

Sea World Dolphins actually don’t come from there so maybe quit spreading your lies.

      • Nancy

Oh they just magically swim into tiny cages right….educate yourselves, people! This is abuse, not entertainment!

  8. Whitney

They’re running ads here in Orlando (maybe nationwide?) announcing that these are the last animals that will live/perform in captivity bit is not like they decided that on their own. They are only reacting to backlash. You don’t get credit for “coming clean” if you got busted doing wrong.

    • Lexy

Yes I also heard that In My Local News stating Sea World is coming to an end of capturing Killer Whales influenced or something by or related to BlackFish

    • peepslob

I am in Orlando too, and I saw those ads on the Internet.

  9. Lexy

Last term I took a class where we watched Blackfish and its basically about SeaWorld and it REALLY is a terrible thing they do

  10. spedtch95

I’m a resident and the article I read said that if they didn’t stop the orca shows it would be the end of Sea World. Unless something has changed in the last few weeks, the only male, Tilikum, who killed Dawn Brancheau, is dying from a bacterial condition. So that ends the breeding program.

I recently saw Blackfish and yes it was upsetting. But remember they are changing. Also, when there is an injured or severely distressed marine mammal in my state, it’s often that Sea World takes it to help/rehabilitate it. They do good things too. Yes, the whale show and breeding had to go, I haven’t been there since two weeks before trainer Dawn was killed. But I still recognize that Sea World does good things, too, to help animals.

    • april

I remember when they came into town and helped some destressed animal, I forgot which aminal. They do good

  11. Susie

Great deal as theme park tickets are rarely discounted. Thanks for posting & helping us save money as you always do. ๐ŸŽ€

  12. Stephanie

Sigh, please don’t support SeaWorld and please do some research before buying in to their “we’re changing for the better rhetoric” … Are they making small changes? Yes? They are desperately trying to redefine themselves and bolster sales now that the world knows they abuse animals. Not breeding animals is a far cry from releasing them. Please, please read about SeaWorld’s practices before choosing to buy a ticket!

    • Jennifer

Yes Stephanie, take your advice and do your research instead of blindly listening to a documentary where most footage was from decades ago or from non-Sea World trainers.

      • Stephanie

I’m not going to debate with you in a public forum. If you look at scientific evidence, the life span of orcas in the wild and that of orcas in captivity, it is very easy to understand that their lifespans are 1/4 that of wild orcas. That isn’t propaganda, that is scientific fact.

        • Jennifer

Actually, I’d love to know where you saw that. The life span of killer whales varies by sex and by location. The killer whales in Sea World all live a normal amount of time compared to those in the wild.–Yup, I watched Blackfish and dug deeper. Anyway, this is a couponing site and you could have just moved on, but instead you spread the mistruths and I didn’t think that was right either.

          • Stephanie

If you feel good supporting an organization that abuses animals and is struggling as a result, that is certainly your business. I won’t be visiting, my conscience is good with my choice.

      • Rebe

There are news coming from Sea World every week. Of course Blackfish totally spilled the beans, but they are not the only source. Come on people, do you truly believe wild animals are happy in tiny pools, their pods separated, forced to perform day after day? Even if they never neglected their animals, even if they didnt turn to people out of frustration, wild animals are forced to live in captivity and behave in unnatural ways for our entertainment. I do not deny that as an organization they do some good, especially because many of their staff wanted to work there because they love animals.

    • Whitney

I don’t think these whales could be released into the wild and survive at this point, they’ve been captice so long.

  13. Urvi

Have family visiting from overseas. Can I buy tics on their behalf? It says res of US & PR only. (Will not be joining them)

Is Sea World strict? Checking id’s?

    • Just Me

It says you have to show ID to verify the name on the ticket…. I think I’d buy the tickets and look for the employee who looks like he/she doesn’t care

      • april

I’ve been recently and had to show ID to match the name on the ticket

    • Marie

Yes you can buy their ticket, you just have to put their name on it when you buy it

  14. Brianna

Military families (sponsor, spouse, 3 kids) get in for free. Lego land was just added to that list.

    • Just Me

I believe you have to sign up for those tickets in advance and not at the gate. (Check the website)
Veterans get 50% tickets through a program on the sea world website ( uses vet ID to verify the person is a vet)

  15. trisha517

I’ve watched blackfish, what exactly is the difference between SeaWorld and Zoos. What’s the difference between the way we treat other animals especially the ones that we eat. Haters gonna hate. Love SeaWorld and I have so many joyous memories with my family here! This is a wonderful day!

    • Heather C.

      Well said, Trisha ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Rose

      So agreed!

    • Cindi

Actually there is an enormous difference. Seaworld is for profit where as most zoos are non profit and circle back a significant amount of funds into organizations ranging from endangered species protection, to public education and awareness. Secondly, zoos may put animals on display but they do not have the animals preform or train them for our entertainment. Let’s not even start about the intelligence and awareness of orcas vs. other animals – there IS a difference, and acting as if there’s not normalizes the crimes committed by companies that should have to answer to the public.

      • trisha517

So criticize SeaWorld and their “unfair” tactics, but look into also how many mammals die every year that live in the ocean from pollution and waste that WE as humans create. More than 100,000. To each their own.

        • Cindi

I absolutely agree with you! pollution and waste create tragic consequences for ocean life. Hopefuly those who are seeking for reform from sea world are also looking into what part we can each play at home.

    • Rebe

And who said that zoos are any better?

  16. Victoria

Not a board for PETA rants. Please save it for somewhere else.

  17. Rose

I brought season passes earlier this year when it’s buy one get one free. Children under 5 currently can get a free preschooler pass for the entire year. They have to be a resident of certain states like Texas. Despite all the negative press and boycott of Seaworld, I still think they do good in educating about conservation and marine animal awareness. Without them we would be dumping all sorts of junk into the ocean. I know my kids are more aware and sympathetic of the sea animals because of our trips there. In my view, we use one to save many. Also think about the employees and families that Seaworld supports. Thank you.

  18. Mary

I literally just bought 4 single day tickets yesterday online at full price. GRRR!!! Yesterday was the 11th, and that is when this special started. Wonder why this didn’t pop up for me when I was buying tickets yesterday? Actually, the only way I can even see this deal is if I click through your link. If I go straight to their website on my own, this deal doesn’t even show up. Odd.

    • Emily

Call them and see if they will refund you the difference.

      • Mary

I got in contact with them. They said that the reason I can’t see this offer on their page when I go to it directly is because this was a special offer sent out to certain people in their email. The direct link is in an email they sent out, which is what is posted above, I assume. They said the only way they would refund my money was if I purchased my tickets through the actual email I received (which I did not receive, I am just clicking through the link posted above), provided them with my new order number, and then they would refund my original order amount. I’m not sure if that would work since technically this isn’t my email link. This link was just posted in this forum. So I’m a little nervous to even try it now. I might end up paying for two days worth of tickets! Bummer. ๐Ÿ™

      • Mary

Another update since I posted. Seaworld contacted me again today, and sent me a link to purchase the tickets buy one get one. She told me to go ahead and repurchase through that link, and then she refunded me the $169.00 difference! Whoo-hoo!!!!

  19. Jennifer

Keep drinking the Koolaid. You might want to research beyond a propaganda filled mockumentary.

  20. ashlynn.

Also, military can get free 1 day general admission tickets for themselves and up to 3 dependants. Check out waves of honor program… it’s wonderful.

  21. Sarah

bummer, only valid through 6/1/16. short notice but really awesome deal….I am hoping for more deals later…

  22. Mary Beth

This is great – going to Orland first week of May. Thanks Collin!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! You’re so welcome!

  23. Tash

Are these just for Seaworld or can I use them to go to Seaworld one day and Busch gardens the second day?

  24. Melissa

Teachers in Florida also get in free.

  25. couponer

For those of you being critical of those who enjoy Sea World and similar places…just because you think they’re wrong doesn’t make you right.

    • Rebecca

Personally I am not criticizing, but I strongly believe that many injustices are committed because people are not informed. I, for example, once when to see manatees in the wild and I was so over the moon, I kept on swimming close to them, I wanted to touch them! Later in life I learned that is harassment and I shouldn’t have done that, it causes wild animals stress. I ask fellow hipsters just one favor, read both sides of the story, make your own informed opinion. If after that you still want to visit Sea World, go ahead! But please, read about it first.

  26. Shop624

We literally booked last minute – leaving this Thursday !! This sounds like a great deal?! We have a family of four . Does anyone know if I need to pay for the 3 y/o ? I know my infant be free . Wondering now if this is a good deal- 2 adults 1 kid, 1 infant :-/

    • Heazer

Yes! The website states that ticket prices are for ages 3 and up. Hope that helps!
