regularly 4129.99 I don’t think the price is right .

The 4 was meant to be a dollar sign.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry about that! Just updated! 🙂

I have this one, except the color is black. I bought it at Costco and paid 59.99 after instant savings so 39.99 is GREAT! That was several years ago and it’s still going strong. Great machine, great money saving tool. I’ve had meat packaged with it that’s been in the freezer for a year that looks and taste as fresh as the day I put it in there.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for such great feedback Susie! Happy to hear how well this has worked for you!

Are replacement bags expensive? Can I use a substitute bag? What other food items can I save?

    • Erin

Yes, replacements are expensive unless you work a deal, but they are far better than plastic wrap and storage bags. They help extend the life of anything that would be damaged by air: snacks, cereal, etc., but I use it only for freezing meats and occasionally fruit (for smoothies).

Bananas freeze great with the Foodsaver. I also buy bulk frozen mixed fruit and repackage/freeze into smaller amounts for smoothies. You can reuse the Foodsaver bags if washed thoroughly and/or freezing like item. This is a great deal. I got mine last October via H2S through a Kohls sale like this, but no rebate. It’s a great kitchen toy.

Look on Amazon for generic bags and rolls. I like the rolls better because you can adapt every meal/food package to desired length saving money like that. They work as well as the brand name bags and last a long time.

      • 🐾Pammie🐾

That’s where I bought mine and a great price on rolls! Love my Food Vac and it has saved me so much on food.

I only order when they have a BOGO sale on the food saver website. They even run those sales on the two packs. It’s a pretty good deal for me.

Bags are reusable they can be washed(I use very hot water) then dry either but standing up (put them over cheap disposable cuts) or putting paper towel into bag and drying. My son got me curious then hooked. He uses for everything in his house. He also uses the generic and says they work the same. I’m a newbe but a convert. It’s worth the investment if you have family and cook often. Shopping quantity and buy the sales can be really help. If you don’t have a small freezer may want to consider one.
Good luck saving money and being frugal.
      Hope this helps.

I use these bags: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GG5I5AK They had good reviews so I tried them out. The FoodSaver brand bags would actually not seal completely from time to time on me but these other ones are cheaper and I haven’t had an issue with them.

why is it when I was adding it total price is $75.59 with both codes?

    • Suz

Seems right to me. Remember there is a $30 mail in rebate so pay 69.99 plus tax then file for rebate. Just ordered one for a gift. Thanks Colin for the post and everyone who vouched for this machine,

  6. QTee

Question about receipt for the rebate. If I order it and pick it up at the store, I get an email confirmation for the order. Can I submit that? Or can I request a proper receipt when I pick it up. First time trying to do a rebate item
At Kohls. Thanks for any help.
