Careful with checking e proration dates. I was going to buy the benzac stuff this weekend but it had an expiration of sept 2016, the latest being dec 2016. While these items can be used a bit past the expiration and are still only a dollar, it’s just something to remember.

Absolutely also Benzac broke my son out badly back in the summer. Interesting thing is that a lg grocery store in Texas pulled these items from their shelves due to complaints about it just 2 wks later. I live in Tx but we bought ours online. I know everyone has different reactions but that seemed awfully strange to me.

Thanks for the helpful feedback! Good thing to be on the lookout for!

Anyone in MI find any OPI?

  3. I'mSoFrugal

I found the OPI nail polish but the colors were not pretty. Hunter green, dark brown, an ivory color, yellow-ish gold & clear with glitter. I did get 3 to give my neice’s something to play around with.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear the colors were not so appealing. But super cool that you could score a few for your niece πŸ™‚

I found the OPI a few weeks ago after reading about it here on HiP. I think that the bottles must be left over from last Christmas. I found a number of nice colors, including the pretty purple I am wearing right this minute. After reading about the OPI, I looked at my local store. The polish was hiding in a box top in the HBA aisle. I think that you really have to look for it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing! Happy you could score them!

Collin-will you sometime please share a post with us fellow bargain shoppers about what you love to buy and what you avoid at dollar stores? I’ve looked and the only thing I’ve seen that you’ve said is to avoid the store brand medical stuff. Thank you πŸ™‚

Theraflu a.m. and p.m. Great score. Annie’s Organics Bunny Grahams. Organic Campbell’s Soup for kids. Barilla pasta sauces. Salon selectives argon oil deep conditioner. And mousse too. I oddly found 2# bags of frozen French fries (a brand my local grocery sells for $2) and 1# bags of frozen veggies (cauliflower and broccoli which surprised me). I am always amazed. I never forget my coupon binder now though, because I always find something I can use a coupon on!

Such great finds Sara! Thanks for the feedback!

I saw triami ic at mine a few weeks back, but buying medicine there makes me feel nervous so I don’t. How does everyobe else feel?

    • Kay

As long as it is not expired it should be fine! I was going to buy theraflu but noticed it was a few months last the expiration date 😬

Every follow tree I go in looks like they are going out of business. They have empty shelves and don’t find any of these items. I’m in Atlanta. Is it just here or does any one else see this

  9. Cuckoo
