      Good! You’re welcome!

OK, this is so confusing. Just went to Target to do this deal and the ‘new’ cashier told me you can only use one coupon per transaction now – per her manager who was making all customers w/ coupons go to the service desk to check out.. I told her to get a manager – who told her she could scan the coupons and as long as they didn’t beep, I could use them. She said but for future reference the coupon policy has changed. I said I know there was an update to prevent overages, but the policy about coupons per purchase VS per transaction had not changed and I was following the rules. So are they doing more changes? Cause now I’m scared to go back to do the HEALTH deal for Zantac πŸ™

Oh bummer! How odd. Sorry to hear about your experience. πŸ™ Maybe take the coupon policy in with you next time, in case you have any issues.

If you have the option to use self checkout I’d do that instead! I always like using self checkout.

Wow that sucks Gretchen! I can’t tell you how bad I start sweating when I go to check out because I fear these situations. I travel for a living and I’m almost never at the same store so I don’t know what to expect about the policy. I recommend self check out if you can find a Target near you that has it. Much less hassle!

The self check outs in southern California are not able to accept coupons… its a new thing. They have tape placed over the area to drop the coupons. It was really confusing for me the first time- scanned the coupons but when it was time to drop I didnt know what to do. Luckily an employee helped me and rang me up at another register.

    • Gretchen

THX all! I wondered about doing self checkout – but they said the self checkout can not accept CW! I get so nervous when they start looking over them – I always follow the rules and have the policy with me – and I would never want to get an employee in trouble – but when there are a ton of people behind me and my kids are screaming at me – I’m like, come on just scan them! If they beep THEN scrutinize me πŸ™‚ Vanessa – I get so red in the face and hot – and then the credit card machine wasn’t reading my red card so it was taking forever, the lady behind me was commenting on how I probably shouldn’t be buying gogurt anyway because its full of sugar and obviously my kids didn’t need it – I tried to take my sweater off and accidentally ended up flashing the cashier, lol! I don’t think I have any dignity left to back to Target!!!

      • Lindsey

Totally nothing to add except, thanks for the chuckle Gretchen…lol. And seriously, some people and their two cents. Gogurts have too much sugar?! People need to mind their own business! Hopefully your next target trip goes better πŸ™‚

How odd… I went to Target today and did this transaction with coupon and cartwheel with no problem. I also got my $5 gift card. I was at a regular register (not self checkout) not sure if that made a difference.
If I eve have any problems with checking out at target I go to the customer service desk as I’ve noticed the target cashiers are limited to what they can do.

      Thanks for sharing Kira!
