These are great for a stroller, swing, etc. Thank you for showing the product being used in a stroller. Ive known quite a few people who hadnt known that these are prohibited to be used in car seats by all manufactures.

Totally agree, they should never be used in a car seat!

      • Julie

I agree but I loved it in my mamaroo!

          You’re so welcome! 🙂

Why can’t it be used in car seat? That’s the reason why I want to get it.

    • Chandra

You can’t add anything behind them in the car seat. It adds bulk so that when in a crash the straps will not work properly. So in the end it’s defeating the purpose of the car seat. It’s the same for puffy coats. You should not put them in puffy coats in the car seat while in the car. The puff adds extra air so the straps will never be tight enough.

You could use the insert in a car seat if it’s snapped in the stroller and not going in cars but it’s not safe in the car.

    • Karin

To add on to what Chandra said, they are also not crash tested with car seats so there is a chance the car seat won’t work the way it was designed. Also, if you are in a state that requires “proper use”, using one of these would actually be against the law as you would not be using the seat the way the directions say too. (please note, some car seats come with inserts similar to these. If they come with the carseat and are approved by the manufacturer you can use them.)

This was such a great item for my son. We took it everywhere for the first three months of his life! He was so comforted by the softness!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, how sweet! Glad to hear how comfortable this was for him! Thanks for sharing Casey!

Says right on the amazon description that they are safe, do not interfere with harness and are crash tested. I own one of these snuzzlers and love it. Great support especially for newborns!

    • Chandra

The manufacturer tested it with A car seat. Was it the one you purchased? Probably not. If you were to use it in your car seat your warranty would be voided meaning if anything happened to your child the car seat manufacturer isn’t liable because you are incorrectly using their product. The same goes for the pads that go under car seats to protect the seat. They say they’re safe but in reality they’re never supposed to be used unless made by the car seat manufacturer.
